And let’s be honest, the Cardinals are not making the playoffs as constructed.

So, you look towards the 2026 NFL Draft, where the Cardinals don’t even have a top 10 pick as of now.

In fact, they have the 11th pick, and sit behind the… Los Angeles Rams, who own the rights to the Atlanta Falcons picks.

It is unfortunate where they are stuck, especially with how the contracts for Jonathan Gannon and Monti Ossenfort are set up.

They are heading into year four (if they are retained as expected), but can you justify giving a contract extension to any of these guys? So, you are going to go into a year with lame ducks at all the important positions, head coach, GM and maybe Jacoby Brissett at the quarterback position as some have speculated since early in the season.

  1. Our defense has made steps up every year.

Our team as a whole made a step up year 1 to year 2. It is year 3 that is the problem.

Do we need a new HC and GM? You could argue we do but I don’t think we do.

We need a new OC and we need offensive help more than defensive.

  2. JG is a defensive minded coach and when all the defensive players are healthy they do look pretty good

What we need is a good OC. And if JG is going to do the BA thing where he is too loyal to his coordinators to fire them (Petzing and Amos respectively) then we need to let him go sooner rather than later

I think we play out this season and see how JG does but if Petzing makes it another year then JG needs to go

GM should get a 2 year extension imo. Coaching turn styles aren’t uncommon in the NFL but high turnover on a GM is a death knell

  3. Well the schedule is tough until the end of the season, I actually don’t see another win, maybe the bengals? But the rest of the schedule is tough the falcons have been playing good football recently and those are the only 2 games I think this team can win with all the injuries

  4. They need more meat and potatoes drafts. The less sexy picks like interior lineman need to become the norm for a couple years

  5. Stop whining about being too good for a high draft pick. It’s fools’ gold. Draft picks are essentially blind dart throws, quantity is more important
