How Guardians must pivot after Emmanuel Clase, Luis Ortiz indictments

  1. Yeah we have Cade but it sucked having to force him into being a closer. His normal role of being that high leverage strike out guy was missed. Gaddis kinda got forced into that role but he isnt really made to be that type of guy.

Game 3 vs Detroit, we get in trouble and Gaddis gets brought in, in a very high leverage situation and couldn’t stop the bleeding. That would have been a great spot for a dude like Cade who can come in and over power dudes. Cade maybe comes in and over powers the hitters and the score stays 2-1 instead of getting away from them and being 6-1.

  2. We are pretty good at getting guys off the scrap heap and turning them into decent pitchers. But as far as hitters go, we just get them off the scrap heap.

  3. They won 88 games with an ongoing investigation. With more clarity and it behind them, I’m sure they’ll be fine.

  4. Not that it will replace a high end closer and at worst #2-3 starter but the league should compensate the guardians with picks or something.

None of this is their fault and the league is in bed with the bookies pushing this junk on every broadcast, billboard and ad space they possibly can, they are at last partly culpable for this happening

  5. My biggest frustration is missing out on trading him. We could’ve gotten a haul and the 3rd overall prospect in baseball. Fuck this guy
