The Canucks have recently done a much better job generating shots and pushing the pace offensively

Since November 1st, you look at the shot totals in the Canucks mo most recent five games, 28, 36, 45, and then 33. Um, in that span since November 1st, they’ve generated the fifth most shots in the NHL per game. I think a massive factor for that has been Quinn Hughes coming back and looking unreal, which we’ll touch on, Conor Garland coming back, but even just as a whole, they’re transitioning the puck up the ice so much cleaner. They’re connecting passes. And I remember when De Brusk was speaking earlier in the year, a few games into the season about the team’s wos and how many shots they were giving up, but also not really generating anything offensively. The point he made was we haven’t even had a chance really to see what foot system looks like because their passing was so porous and they were so sloppy and shaken off the early season rust that they couldn’t even get to trying to play that high tempmpo aggressive style. And look, I still think it’s an open question mark about whether over the balance of an 82 game regular season, whether opening things up is going to yield success, whether you’re going to have enough skill to score consistently. But at least over the last five games, if you’re going to play a more wideopen style, you need to be able to generate a lot. And I think over this weekend you saw the Canucks um definitely getting more looks offensively.
