Brad, Vegas tried to orchestrate a comeback, but your team was ultimately able to hold them off. What was the key to being able to stay one step ahead in that third period? I just like our confidence. Um, we were very calm. Um, you know, they made a really good push. We knew that was going to happen. They’re a really good team, but uh, you know, we we didn’t sit back. We just continued to play our game, play hard, support each other well, uh, and weathered what they brought. So, it was a good really, really big win for us. Another goal for you tonight. You’re off to your best goalcoring start to your career. What is the secret to this consistency at 37 years old? Couple couple really good finish females in my line. Those guys are uh they’re incredible. Um they just create so much space and and so many great little plays that uh we’re having a lot of fun right now. What does keep you going though aside from your line mates? Uh love of the game. Um you know it uh I’ve always loved loved hockey. It’s been my biggest passion and um you know when when you’re at the rink when you play this game you just feel like a kid. You know, the second you get back on that ice, it just brings you back to your childhood. No matter what’s going on in the world and what’s going on with life, you kind of forget about that. You’re in the moment competing, uh, doing something you love. Uh, and when it’s over, it’s over. So, might as well make the most of it. Given the key absences on this team, do you feel an added responsibility to step up? Yeah, I think we all do. Um, you know, by committee is the only way that uh we’re going to be able to get through it. Um those those guys are all incredible players, incredible leaders and and huge holes that you’re not going to fill. So um yeah, collectively we have to do it. And lastly, end the road trip on a high note. How would you assess your team’s game at this point of the season? Uh up and down, I’d say. Uh we can definitely be better, but uh we’ve been better of late. So uh if we keep going in that direction, we’ll be fine. Brad, thank you. Yeah, I mean I think we kept it to uh playing simple, playing hard and go north and stay on him and don’t back off and give him time and space. So I think we did a good job and obviously Bob had some really good saves, too. Given some of the recent struggles on the road this season, what is a win like this? Yeah, huge. I mean, I feel like uh few of the last, I don’t know, five, six games here, we played pretty well, but haven’t uh uh yeah, got the points we needed. Uh for sure a big win for us and with us for sure. How important was it to get the first one in this building on the road in a tough environment. Uh yeah, I mean I feel like first goal in every game is huge and uh it was nice to get that one for sure. I think it was a little bit too much back and forth there first 10 12 minutes, but then we settled in and played a pretty good game after. How nice will it be to get back home five game home stand after you know a long road trip? Yeah, it’s going to be uh a lot of fun obviously play in front of our fans and our building. So, uh we can’t wait. Yeah, I think uh just uh way we face adversity. I mean, that’s a tough building to come into a good team and uh I mean we played our game and uh we got the win. Two points for you tonight. How fun was that? Yeah, I mean it’s always fun to get points. Uh but that’s not why they brought me in, but it’s always always fun to get a couple points and your first ones you always remember. What was working well for you tonight? I think I just played my game. Played with confidence. uh hit people. I mean uh try to stick up for my team and uh I just got the puck luck tonight. What have you kind of learned about yourself and playing with Petri on this road trip? Yeah, I think uh and he makes it easy to play with. So I mean uh yeah, it’s not uh not hard playing with him. So uh yeah, I think uh I like playing with him and I think uh we had a good road trip. How would you describe the adjustment to playing this kind of hockey, this brand of hockey in the NHL? Yeah, I mean uh it’s uh we play predictable, so I mean uh it was easy kind of transitioning, but I mean uh just getting acclimated as quick as I can, but uh I mean I feel good. Have you checked your phone since you uh got your first at point? Uh I I texted my mom and uh she was pretty excited. So I got to just tell her I’ll call her later, but I mean she was pretty excited for me. Yeah, you mentioned your mom, Kim. What What did she tell you in that text message? Can you share with us? Yeah, she was said uh she was so proud of me and I mean uh yeah, that’s why uh that’s what I want to make her proud and I mean that means the world to hear from her but I mean that was for her tonight. Awesome. Uh I think obviously I think Bob made some huge stops for us and uh I think we had our our composure and we we kept get not giving them too much ice and our gap was great. What can you say the job on the penalty kill especially? Yeah, that was a huge kill. You know, uh we were ready from the start there and uh didn’t give them much and we got some energy out of that. Given some of the difficulties on the road this season, what kind of confidence does like this over give this group? A lot. I mean, I think we really came out ready to play and think we put a put in a 60-minute uh good effort. How cool was it to see Sango, you know, fellow waiver pick up by the Panthers. Have a big night tonight with the fight and two assists. Yeah, he’s been uh he’s been unreal. Uh not just tonight, the the other games too. So, I’m I’m very happy for him and he he’s uh really contributing well.
