The Miami Heat Are INSANE!
Folks, the Miami Heat are absolutely insane. This is coming right after the win against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night where Miami improved to 7-4 on the season and outlasted Cleveland in overtime 140 to 138. And I think the most impressive thing for this Miami Heat team is the resiliency that they have shown throughout the year. They are missing their leading score from a year ago in Tyler Hero. He has not played yet this season. And they are missing their captain, Bameadabio, their best player in the last three games, practically four games because he left in the first quarter of that Nuggets game last Wednesday. Yet this team is 3-0 in their last three and just beat the favorites in the Eastern Conference coming into the season at home. And yeah, you saw Jared Allen only play about 19 minutes. Darius Garland leave with injury, but the resolve that the Heat have showed and the offensive firepower that Miami has this year is just absolutely stunning. And it just shows how deep and how wellbalanced this team is. Any player on any given night can go off and have a career night, if you will. I mean, just last Saturday night, the Heat had Nicole Yoic have a career-high 29 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists in a win at home against the Portland Trailblazers. Then on Monday against the Cavs, Norman Powell goes for 33 points and leads that team to victory. They are just so well balanced. Anyone can beat you and you get performances like Andrew Wiggins, 23 points, five assists on eight of 13 shooting, clutch defensive plays. Obviously the perfectly scripted gamewinner from coach Eric Spolstra and associate head coach Chris Quinn who spo actually gave credit to for creating that play and he actually was the one who diagrammed it up out of the timeout as well in the heat little huddle on their bench. You just have the resurgence of Haimeh Hakez Jr. 22 points 13 boards seven assists on seven of 12 shooting off the bench. He is the runaway favorite right now for six man of the year and honestly should probably win most improved player if this continues as well. I just think this Miami Heat team is extremely dangerous and this is a performance without your two best players and I believe that when Miami gets Back, gets Tyler Herro back, this team will really have a chance to be a top three team in the East this season. I think they were right there with the Heat or excuse me the Cavs and the New York Knicks. I mean, it’s proven that they were able to beat them on Monday. We’ll see what happens when they rematch on Wednesday and we got a pair of Knicks matchups between Miami and New York in within the next couple of weeks as well. Miami all the way, by the way, already beat New York this season in the third game of the year at home. So, it’s certainly a fascinating team that continues to show night in night out that they are for real and this isn’t a fake little beginning of the season. No, this is going to be here to stay and and it truly is phenomenal to watch. And let me know your thoughts down in the comments section. Do you guys think the Miami Heater are title contenders? It might be too early for that, but certainly a conversation worth having. But like I also want to show love to KL Wear. KL Wear was actually maybe the best version of himself and I said that the game against the Clippers a week and a half ago was the best game that I’ve ever seen KL Wear play. I think this one easily tops it. And this is for all the people that are box score watchers. I think because yeah, the box score for KL We was very, very good last night against the Cavaliers. He’s had better box score numbers. But when I talk about Wear being a player that the Heat don’t get enough out of, it’s because I think he could impact the game much more than the box score tells you. And this game against Cleveland was the perfect blend of box score, but also impact. We had a double double 14 points, but he had 20 rebounds. I’m not saying that KL Wear should be able to do that every game because that is insane to have 20 rebounds. But I am telling you there is no world where Kel Wear getting at least 25 minutes a night which he’s been getting with no um Bamabio. Kell played 34 minutes last night. There’s no world where he should ever ever get dominated on the glass. He is 7 foot tall with a 74 wingspan. He’s still a little thin. needs to put on weight, but it’s all about the effort. When he is engaged, when he is locked in on the glass, the Heat are a difficult team to beat because you simply don’t give the opponent as many second chance opportunities. Now, in this game, you still saw in that fourth quarter when the Cavaliers mounted their comeback to force overtime, the rebounding issue rear its ugly hen, and Miami still got outrebound in this game, which has been something we’re monitoring night in night out as something that Miami really needs to improve in. They were outrebounding 60 to 56. Um, the Cavs had 26 offensive rebounds to Miami’s 12. Miami did outrebound them defensively 44 to 34, but that offensive rebound difference is just so stark. And yeah, Miamiy’s offensive scheme where run a lot of five out quick early shots, it’s not going to lead to a lot of offensive rebounds and the Heat haven’t needed offensive rebounds to be the best offensive team in basketball through their first 11 games. But it is something that we’re just going to continue to monitor because allowing 26 offensive rebounds isn’t good in the Heat coming into this game against the Cavs allowed the second most offensive rebounds per game. Yeah, they did. They averaged about 13 and a half offensive rebounds allowed a night. That was second worst in the NBA. Only team that allows more is the Atlanta Hawks. I have to imagine after giving up 26 offensive boards to the Cavs on Monday, well, they’ll probably be the worst team in the NBA in terms of giving up offensive rebounds. So certainly something that they’re going to have to improve on, but I don’t think this is a Kell Wear issue quote unquote for this night’s game because he did gobble up 20 boards and he was great. Like you just saw um Donovan Mitchell get 15 rebounds and five offensive rebounds. Evan Mobley get eight offensive rebounds. So you’re not going to be able to control a really good rebounding team like the Cavs this often. This is one of the best rebounding teams in the NBA. So I’m just going to be happy with being able to escape with a victory. But you’re just going to need more of a team effort. Like Wiggins was phenomenal, but like if we want to quickly stay on this topic, him only having two boards last night, that just can’t happen. Like he’s got to be more active on the glass. Shout to Nico Yoic, who didn’t have his best game, eight points, eight rebounds, four assists, three of 10 shooting, but he was way more active on the glass. And I feel like he’s been over the last two games really, really good for the Miami Heat in terms of rebounding as a team. But the reason why this team is so so insane, and it’s crazy to think about is these offensive numbers. They consistently have the number one pace in the NBA. And it really isn’t close. Their pace is a full 1.2 better than the Trailblazers pace. Blazers 105.35. Miamiy’s at 106.58. And that actually hurts the offensive rating for Miami. It’s so fascinating. Miami averages the most points per game in the NBA, but the way the offensive rating works, it it accounts for efficiency, accounts for pace, accounts for obviously all the traditional stats. And Miami’s offensive rating is 116.4, still very good. That’s 11th in the NBA, but their offensive rating actually is impacted negatively because they play with such a fast pace. So, if you’re someone who’s looking at the advanced numbers and you’re like, “How are the Heat 11th in offensive rating, but they’ve averaged the most points and they’re extremely efficient both from the field and three, both in the top 10 of the NBA.” Well, it’s because they play with such a fast pace that it actually hurts their offensive rating. And I’ll tell you, I’m going to take that every single day of the week. But you see their true shooting percentage. It is sixth in the NBA at 60.8%. And it just speaks to the ability this team has to have multiple teams beat you. And they also have not really turned the ball over at all this season, they’ve taken care of the ball, which is also a huge impact. The Heat have the third best assist to turnover ratio this season with 2.06. So, not only are they generating looks that are open and they’re not turning the ball over, like that is the good stuff. That is the perfect blend of basketball you want to see. And honestly, it’s actually really impressive how good they have been defensively as well. They have the seventh best defensive rating in the NBA at 111.6. To play at the pace that they have been playing at to score as many points as they have yet still be a very good and respectable defense. I mean, that just speaks to the coach of Eric Bolstra. And you have to give Spo credit for being able to implement this new offensive strategy of the fast pace, the five out, the not many pick and rolls. I mean, Miami ran nine pick and rolls against the Cavs, nine. And they scored 140 points. This is unprecedented type of basketball. Heat brought in Nate Lar Ro this off season. He was with the Grizzlies before. He helped implement this Heat offensive system. And you give him a lot of credit for that offense, but you got to give credit for Spo for being able to manage the offense and the defense because the defense still has been there. And there’s actually a metric of just halfcourt offense to half court defense because I think a lot of common misconceptions are that Miami is just running out in transition a ton, which they are. They’re consistently beating their opponent in fast break points on a night basis. But they’re also extremely efficient in the half court when they play the sets. They’ve actually there was a chart that came out. I put it on my Twitter, so go give me a follow at nick_roll. But if you look at the efficiency and the ratings in the half court, the Heat are the number one team. Like they’ve got the best half court offense and the best half court defense. So it just speaks to the balance that this Heat team has. And I’ve talked about it. It’s going to be difficult for Eric Spolster to manage what the rotations and lineups are when Bam comes back, when Tyler Herro comes back because you’ve seen such strong performances early on this season from players like Drew Smith, from Simone Fontakio, from Pel Larson, and not all of those guys are going to be able to play. Like you wonder who is the starter starting lineup for Miami because it’s hard for me to imagine taking PL Larson out because he’s just been such a good glue guy for Miami early on in the season and ever since he was named the starter um alongside Norman Powell he’s scored double digits in almost every single game but he’s also defending at a high level. He’s also being a good team rebounder. So like I just really don’t know how Miami is going to be able to handle uh Tyler Herro returning. I wonder if they move Da’Von Mitchell to the bench. I I feel like if they bring back Hero in the starting lineup, that’s probably the best way to do it. I think I love Drew Smith. He’s played great. But if there’s one player’s minutes that I think I’m willing to sacrifice, I think it’s going to be Drew Smith’s minutes because if you put Drew Smith to the bench well and not play, that’s just where DaVon Mitchell’s minutes go. So maybe you put Tyler Hero in the starting lineup alongside Powell Larson Wiggins and Bam. And then you have where Fonteio Hawz Yoic and DaVon Mitchell coming off the bench. I mean it’s just a tough thing because you also see how well DaVon Mitchell has defended and he’s been a menace early and he’s been great in terms of his ability to playmake. Eight assists last night. Did have five turnovers, but he’s been pretty good in terms of keeping care of the basketball for the most part. Like this Heat team has just been really special through the first 11 games of the season. They’re third in the Eastern Conference. They’re five-0 at home. I mean, this is something that Miami has struggled with over the last couple of seasons. They’ve actually borderline better been a better road team than a home team over the last couple of years. Yet, they’ve been protecting their home court. Now, it’s going to be more difficult with another game against the Cavs on Wednesday. And then they welcome in the Knicks and the Bulls over the next couple of weeks into their home arena. But Miami has been winning at home. They have the Cavs coming into town as well. Uh they go to New York this Friday and then have them back then following Monday. Like I just can’t say enough of how impressed I am with this Heat team. And I think they are legit like threats in the Eastern Conference. Like if you had to rank the Eastern Conference right now, I think the top four teams are the Knicks, the Cavs, the Heat, and the Pistons. And I don’t really think there’s a close um fifth team, if you will. Like I think the next kind of tier are the Orlando Magic, the Sixers, the Milwaukee Bucks. And if you’re going to ask me, I know it’s really early in the year, 11 games. I I think this Heat team is without a question a playoff team. It’s without a question. They will be a top six team in the East when the regular season is all said and finished. Are they going to be able to win the title? I don’t know. It’s going to be difficult, but they will absolutely be playing in a playoff series this year without having to play in the playin for the first time in what, three years, right? 2021 was the last time we didn’t have to play in the plan. So, my goodness, this Heat team is dangerous. They’re insane. And I can’t speak highly enough of the coaching job that Eric Spolster has done. He’s been absolutely phenomenal. Miami has the number one offense in the NBA through the first three weeks of this season. What makes it more impressive is the fact Miami has played so well despite the Tyler Herro injury and Bam Adebayo injury.
Jaime Jaquez Jr. is the favorite to win 6th man of the Year and only continues his impressive season with another 22 point performance off the bench.

Note: Bam is their captain & max player, but never has been & never will be their best player. Jimmy was their best player & Herro was their best player last year. They were 0-5 when Herro didn’t play, but won games when Bam didn’t play just like this season they are .500 with Bam and 3-0 without him. And this year the best player … it’s a total toss up
I have a feeling Tyler coming back is going to mess up the offense. They’re so fluid on offense for once
We jelly rolled them boys lol heat nation
Ik the season still early, but if the heat keeps playing like this I feel like we might have a great playoff run 🔥‼️
What a win. I know we are playing better this season with Norman Powell and Jaquez but the win against Cavs was a masterpiece. The team is fighting for every ball every second. ⚔️💪
Not ready to call this team contenders, lots to clean up to be in that conversation. But they sure are fun to watch
It’s only the 11th game
Big w
A big shut out to all the "fans" that wanted Wiggins and Fontecchio traded or waved.
The Heat is only a rebounding big away from being a contender.
I must admit Drew Smith is what Spo saw and I never did… my apologies.
Hope Jaquez gets traded to a team that actually starts him
Best starting lineup.
Davion
Herro
Bam
Wiggins
Powel
What a time to be alive bro
Not gonna lie, having dru and davion coming off the bench would be hell for the other team 😂
Well Done we just need to be consistent and we'll be the dark horse in the race let's go HEAT
I am quite new to NBA what is the difference between FG% and TS%?
Extend Norman Powells contract
Rolly, Man do I really wish you streamed the game live and see you jump for joy
Wow i really enjoyed seeing Kelel Ware put his big boy pants on. He played with great effort and intensity.
Mind you Spo’s house burned down last week. If that’s not inspiring I don’t know what is 🔥🔥🔥
Trade Herro
7 of the next 9 games are against 6 East teams that are currently standing 1st thru 7th. How they close out November will determine how the league sees the Miami Heat🔥🔥🔥Let's go Heat! If they still have a good record then, this will be the most proud i am of a regular season Heat team in feels like forever.
