  3. I did see when the camera cut to Sirianni after the play, he clearly said, “why….why” so this honestly seems accurate

  4. I honestly don’t care. KP be calling straight ass plays. Such a good first drive offensively, then lost all trust in hurts after the fumble. We’ve seen aj and hurts call that play a bunch and connect. Just unfortunate it didn’t connect.

  5. The play that should have been called was “punt,” so there’s no excuse because they shouldn’t have even been on the field.

  6. I hate this framing so much. How many game sealing wins/huge touchdowns have we seen on that exact look? Single coverage, 1-1 with AJ is rare. It’s almost guaranteed on 4th < 6.

    Whether or not you agree with running a play at all there is one thing. But if that’s the decision Nick makes? I’ll take AJB 1-1 on a fade all day, every day.

  8. Why is he calling this “went rogue.” This media type of shit is what grates on the players. They audibled to their own play. Jalen audibles frequently. They really just shouldn’t have been on the field in the first place. The punt team should have been out there and there would have been no chance of the audible happening. 

  9. Unless the play call was “get to the line, try to get them to jump, then call timeout,” it was a bad play call by the coaches anyway. The issue wasn’t the play, it was that there was a play ran at all

  15. No issue with the audible. I actually said this in a post after the game that I think Sirianni was covering for them. 

    Also for everyone saying punt, yes that’s an option but but why risk a shanked or blocked punt in those weather conditions giving the Packers a chance for a closer field goal.

    I think the goal was to try and get them offsides and then after the delay of game penalty run it to kill some clock. But instead of running it Jalen audibled to try and win it with AJ one on one.

    Either way it wouldn have left minimal time for the Packers to go down and would rush them trying to get in field goal range.

  16. I know it’s bad football to run a play here but a 1-on-1 shot to AJB in the end zone is not the worst move here. It’s a game-ender if it hits. Maybe you draw the pass interference here (they almost did). Play to win instead of playing to not lose.

    They, particularly Jalen, did what they are allowed to do within the framework of Nick Sirianni’s system. You take the good with the bad and this was bad, it has worked multiple times in the past. You can question the decision, but to act like they went into business for themselves is ludicrous.

    Either Jalen has the ability to change plays at the line or he doesn’t. And, well, he does. He has for a while now.

  20. To put it another way Hurts and AJ tried to seal the game on 4th down after dog shit play calling for 98% of the game resulted in 10 lousy points and they only just barely missed scoring a TD to fully ice the game.

    So my feelings on this play went from KP called an idiotic play to Hurts and AJ decided to not run an even more idiotic play that KP probably wanted to run.

  21. I mean…had AJ Brown gone through the defender more, it’s pass interference.

    It was pass interference that’s wasn’t called.

    In the end, it’s another missed call by the refs and a good call by whoever called it, because it should have been 1st and goal after the flag.

  23. Works pretty often and should have been probably been PI. PI or TD ice game, interception same as punt. Got stuck with the least likely, an incomplete pass and turnover on downs.

    Not great, but not any worse than the rest of the play calling yesterday

  27. I still don’t understand why we didn’t just go for slants or any kind of interesting concepts on the last few drives.

    Like we did an obvious run that got stuffed and then we attempted 2 10+ yard passes instead of doing a screen or a drag.

    Then on 4th that happened and it’s just culmination of every other thing during the game being completely obtuse.

    First drive worked great until the fumble and then we just said cool time to never do that again.

    With that said, the players got in their own way far more often than not in the first half. A bunch of false starts and holds killed drives and Hurts had a drive where he just made 3 straight throws that were dumb as fuck and were way too risky.

    The playcalling at the end was absolutely awful, but KP isn’t the only one to blame.

  28. I’m sure KP called a kneel down or a run up the gut so I’m actually not mad with this. Be a better play caller and players wouldn’t be going “rogue”. KP is a bum

  29. When Greenbay called their last time out, of O line went jogging over to Sirriani who then kept repeating, “what are you doing? Get the fuck back out there get away from me” lmao
