And so if you realize you suck and to some degree you suck in the imminent future or at least in perpetuity for the time being as much as we can see then get three first round picks. Like y’all realize the Jets got three first round picks today plus they first round pick. Yeah. You feel me? So now you got four players that you can have for four to five years. You just got 20 years of first round talent. Yep. Like that to me is the that’s the to me is the thing. You got 20 years of first round talent. So, if you’re the Jets, you’re not going anywhere this season. You’re probably not going anywhere next season. And then hopefully the Jets can do something like Howie Roseman would do. Howie would turn two first round picks into a allp pro AJ Brown type dude. Then how would take one of them other first round picks and draft a dog. Then Howie would probably trade one of the first round picks for a first round pick and another first round pick next year. And then how would you know what I mean? Like now the Jets, you got to start playing chess. It ain’t checkers time, Jess. You got to start playing chess with these things. It looked like the Jets did a hell of a job, but Uh oh. They they don’t draft. It ain’t been great. Yeah. They hit with Sauce and they hit with Quinnon Williams and Garrett. Yeah. Ain’t Garrett. Yeah. Two first round picks this year, two second round picks and then the following year three man the Jets just hit on half of these picks. They good to go. Correct. But Oh yeah. Yeah. Guys are shutting it down for sure and rightfully so. With all due respect like right because here’s the thing. The team shut it down. They shut it down earlier than you did. Shut it down. Correct. team today. The New York Jets said, “Hey, we are closing football operation for the rest of the season. Trading Quinnon Williams, trading Sauce Gardner. We are planning for the future.” So, if y’all going to plan for the future, oh, I’m a plan for the future, too. What up, Car? I mean, you you mentioned the Jets and the picks that they have. We got We got a graphic right here from Adam Adam Sheper. He’s this year, two first rounders, two second rounders. Next year, 2027, three first rounders. And what anybody that watches college football believe might be one of the most talentrich drafts that we will ever see in 2027, I think it’s a great year to have three first rounders. Correct. Um I mean, if you miss on that, you’re just cursed. If you’re a Jets fan, I’m sorry. You really they suck already and they’ve hit on a lot of first, but it’s it’s tough. Um I think the the the thing about the Jets moving forward is though, let’s talk about Aaron Glenn. Obviously a defensive minded head coach. We saw in the Super Jama was saying, you know, how how does that feel losing all of your pieces and whatnot? Do you think this gives him this is in any way the Jets GM giving him a vote of confidence like hey like this is we believe in you we’re going to let you build your team or do you think this is a situation of like hey man we’re going to rebuild this thing and you might be here or you might not I believe this is a general manager saving himself this ain’t got nothing to do with Aaron Glenn Aaron Glenn ain’t drafting no players cuz what has Aaron Glenn done to earn the right to draft players this is a general manager saying hey I don’t know if he can coach but if you give me a blank slate I can design one hell of a roster and to trade Quinnon Williams and Sauce Gardner. That has to go through the owner. You know what I mean? So that that has to go through the owner. That’s Woody Johnson talking to the general manager and saying, “Hey, what’s going on with this season?” Well, you know, we can build for the future. I can get a first for Quinton Williams. I can get two first for Sauce. Owner saying, “You know what? Go ahead, make the move.” Aaron Glenn ain’t safe. Number one, he a black man. And with all due respect, most black coaches, you get one and a half years, I think, last time I checked the studies. So he he ain’t got long anyway, with all due respect. So this ain’t at all about Aaron Glenn. Aaron Glenn, you’ll see Ben hot. You You know what? Do you think he makes it to next year? Yeah, he’ll make it to he’ll make it to next year. Is what I like about this is very simple. When teams realize they are ass, they act like they aren’t and they don’t want to they don’t want to have a fire sale. They want to keep the we losing with the good players. I might as well build for the future and get rid of these good players and see if the fortune changed. And that’s why I can appreciate the Jets say, you know what, we going to do things a little different cuz when’s the last time we’ve seen this? This was like the NBA, like all these blockbuster trades right at the trade deadline. This doesn’t happen in the NFL. And so I can appreciate the Jets at least trying to build for the future instead of let’s say we win two or three games and we’re back where we were last year, the year prior. Let’s get a bunch of first round picks and let’s see if we can hit on some superstars. I like that. Yeah. Yeah. Uh with with all of these trades today, do you think Well, we we’ll go with the with with the Cowboys first. Do you think the Cowboys won the trade with with with the Jets or do you think the Jets did? [Applause] That one. I’mma give I’mma split. That one I’mma split because at the end of the day, you know what? I’ll say Cowboys because the chances that you drafted Quinnon Williams are none. So Cowboys, you weren’t drafting Quinnon Williams with that first round pick. The chances that the Jets draft a Quinnon Williams or better are slim to none. So, I’ll say the Cowboys won that Jets trade. T, where you at? Oh, I’m going to say the Jets cuz the Cowboys aren’t going anywhere. So, until they go somewhere, I have to go with the Jets. Yep. Yep. They’re both going to be at home. At least the Jets have some assets. Yeah, that’s fair. Now, the other the other trade is interesting. The Jets won the Colts trade. Really? Two first round picks is crazy. Yeah, two first round picks is crazy. And I’mma go with the Colts. Really? because I just believe they have a legitimate shot now at making it to the Super Bowl. And some will say if Shady was here, he might he would he would he would have a stroke right now for sure because because of Daniel Jones, but Daniel Jones has shown me this year he’s not like the Daniel Jones. A Matthew Stafford type quarterback. You could get a You can get a good quarterback. Two first round picks. You can say, “Hey, Stafford, do what Matt Ryan did. Do what Philips Rivers did. Come spend your last year to an Indie and you giving up who?” Two first round picks. I wouldn’t do that. Who if you the Rams or who for for one year? For one. If If I’m the Rams and we don’t win it this year. Think about this. What? Two first rounds. Indianapolis coach, if I give up two first round picks, you better at least give me four years. You think I’m giving up two first round picks for one in a possible stupid. But here’s what I’m saying. You stupid.
