Am I crazy to think the falcons didnt make the worse trade this draft?

  1. Can we stop talking about this damn trade…

We made the right decision on draft night. The rams also made the right decision.

The only “losing” in this scenario is the fact that we should be a top seed in the NFC due to talent, but instead we’re 3-6.

  2. That was the weird thing.

Everyone praised Jacksonville universally when we were almost universally mocked.

Despite both teams being about the same in the NFL landscape lmao.

  3. Imagine if we had that first round pick still, we might be able to get a 23 year old pass rusher.

Which is exactly what we’ll have next season except our 23 year old pass rusher has a year of NFL experience, already proven to be good to decent and won’t cost top 10 pick money which is a $10 million dollar savings

  4. What are you even talking about? We didn’t make the “worse” trade because we made a GOOD trade. Do you guys have eyes for anything other than our record?

  5. damn bro, what the fuck do we gotta do with this? just trying to make it more clear that the Falcons are the NFC Jags?

  6. If jpj turns out better then the top 10 pick the rams get we got lucky and it’s a reckless trade by terry. To value a late first round pick higher then a top ten pick might work one year but in the long run we are gonna get burnt with his thinking

  7. It was never a good idea for a team that hasn’t made the playoffs since 2017 to trade a future first round pick. The exception maybe being for a quarterback. It’s really reckless and a selfish move for Terry to save his job. With this franchise, it was always way more likely to end up with a top 10 pick in the draft than in the playoffs.

Everything above goes for The Jaguars as well.

  8. It was a good trade for the Falcons, especially considering they also got Xavier Watts. Just please win out. I don’t want the Rams getting a top 10 pick.

  9. It’s tough. I get the idea behind wanting someone who can play both sides of the ball. Deion could do it because he had truly mastered the cornerback position and could run the routes as good as any WR. You shouldn’t trade a bunch of draft capital away for that because you need the guy to learn a position fully and master it before you start asking him to do both things. If they wanted a great CB, they could have gotten one without trading up. If you need a wide receiver to play CB, that can also be accomplished as Belichick proved in 2004.

Also there’s a legit body damage reason not to play both sides of the ball, not even factoring in conditioning needs to play more snaps than required.

  10. Having watched a good sample of both their rookie seasons I say Egbuka will easily be a better. NFL player than Hunter. Bucs win again.

  11. I think the trade was a good idea it just sucks we can’t screw over the team that took our pick due to terrible coaching that can’t find ways to win.
