  1. While Caley is flexible, some of the plays he calls are infuriating. If we end up with a winning record, he should stay another year.

  2. Idk how popular this is gonna sound, but I think he’s only earned himself a little bit of extra time as our OC. I will be more than happy to give credit where it’s due, he called a phenomenal game on Sunday.

However, we still are terrible in the redzone. One fourth quarter comeback doesn’t change that fact.

If I see that there’s steady improvement as the season progresses, I’ll be sold and eat crow on all my fire Caley posts. But we still have a way to go before I wanna give him another year.

  3. I’ve seen a better “willingness to adapt” than I saw with his predecessor. But I felt so burned coming into this year doing the exact same dumb shit that has not worked for this team for the past 2 seasons.

  4. The o line played well / better and Caley called a good game. Probably not a coincidence. I’m not super high on him but he was kinda dealt a shit hand. I definitely want to see what he’s got the rest of this year.

  5. My problem with Caley is lack of consistency. If we have 3-5 good games in a row then I’ll feel better about him. Not even winning as such, but good games where we don’t beat ourselves. The constant up and downs are really wearing me down as a fan.

  6. The test and evaluation of Caley isn’t against the Jags or Titans, it’s the performance against the Bills, Chiefs, etc. we’ve shown all year we can move the ball against inferior teams.

  7. As another commenter said, if we end up with a positive record this year, I’m willing to give him another year to see if he pans out. I still think someone like McDaniels would probably be the better choice if he’s available, but I wouldn’t be devastated if we ran it back

  8. No.

    Fuck no.

This is the only game this year that the offense looked like they had an actual NFL playbook and ran decent plays. WHY DONT THEY CALL PLAYS LIKE THAT WHEN CJ IS IN?!

It was one good game. No way they’re already moving on to “MaYbE cAlEy Is GoOd???” Gtfoh

  9. I’ve been saying for the last three weeks that Caley’s “death of a thousand cuts” and “chew the clock” style fits well with our defense. Has he had some bad reps? Yes. Does he utilize our talents to their fullest potential? Not always. However, his philosophy works, and he can improve with more seasons. The real issue lies with the other Nick. Nick Caserio excels in many areas, but his weakness is the offensive line position. I’m not sure whether that’s primarily his responsibility or that of Mozique McCurtis and John Richter, who are tasked with scouting draft talent. They often get overshadowed because Nick oversees the selection process, so it ultimately falls on him. If we can get a balanced offensive line not even great, just balanced we’ll be in a strong position given how we play.

  10. We’ll see how the season finishes. If we end with 9 or more wins, I’m OK with running it back unless we have more games like the first 2 weeks or Seattle where the offense is non existent until the point that it doesnt matter anymore
