I get that we are tanking but holy hell some of these late-game collapses have been hard to watch. It’s November 11th and it’s already happened four times.

You almost have to wonder if we stopped choking so badly in the 4th quarter maybe we would actually be a halfway decent team? Probably not, but if we’re gonna be bad I think I’d rather just lose normally. At some point I think it would be good to teach the young players “this is how you hold onto a lead in the NBA” rather than just shit the bed down the stretch.

  1. It honestly feels like its happening on purpose. I know developmentally it hurts, but we 1000% can’t risk losing our pick this year. I don’t hate them going all in on ‘the process’.

  2. I’m okay with it this year. But if it happens next year, I’m gonna be pissed. Next year we should be in a position to actually compete for a playoff spot. We won’t win it all, but it should be the transition year where we actually learn how to close out games. 2027-2028 should be the season we actually contend. Anything less will pis me off because what was the point of tanking? That’s the limit of my patience for this team.

  3. Ethical tank. Prove that we can win, then don’t.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Keefe gets let go after this season though. This should be our last season of legit tanking

  4. We cannot under any circumstances lose our pick to NY, Detroit had the same players they have now when they had that historically bad season and a coach made all the difference. We don’t have our generational player or a good enough coach yet.

  5. The wizards don’t want to win and we shouldn’t want them to either.

These are ideal games. Play good enough to win so the coaching staff can point out the good habits to keep developing. Blow the lead so the coaches can point to teachable moments and identifying areas for development. Lose the game to increase the chances of a top 4 pick. Thats a win-win-win from my perspective.

  6. Yeah, the Wizards lost, but that doesn’t mean we have to lose… I made $440 on a live bet on Philly with about 7 minutes left, Wiz up 12
