This changes EVERYTHING for the Dallas Cowboys…

This changes everything for the Dallas Cowboys as coming off the buy, there are now four new players being added in or back in to the Cowboys defense and this could legitimately change the entire way we view this Cowboys defense going forward. Welcome into Cowboys Digest everybody. I’m Jayce Andrews. I appreciate you hanging out with us here on this Tuesday. Hope you’re having a wonderful day. Before we get going, I want to say a quick thank you to each and every single one of you. I cannot tell you my appreciation enough. We hit 9,000 subscribers yesterday. And I love making videos on this channel. I love giving content. I love talking about the Cowboys. I hope y’all enjoy it as much as I do. And we’re going to keep going. We’re on the road to that now. The Dallas Cowboys are coming off their by-week. Um played Monday night against the Arizona Cardinals. Obviously, we know how that game went. And now they face off against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night once again. Now, the expectation is you win this game for a majority of different reasons. First of all, the Raiders are not a good football team. Secondly, I’d argue they’d be playing maybe worse than the Tennessee Titans, who have the worst record in the NFL. Um, Tennessee obviously fired their head coach. They’re in a weird spot. Besides the point, I think the Raiders right now are playing worse football than the Tennessee Titans are. So, in my mind, you’re playing the worst team in the NFL, at least in just my opinion. And with that, you expect to win. But the second biggest thing is you got a lot of new faces on defense. We talk about the trades you made with Quinn and Williams getting him from the New York Jets. You also talk about Logan Wilson getting a new linebacker from the Cincinnati Bengals. This is a game where you’re going to have two new guys who were not on this team whatsoever and now joining it for the first time in prime time in a big game for the Cowboys to I’m not going to say save face, but keep themselves alive in a playoff hunt in any aspect. But that’s not all. You obviously have the two trade guys and those are huge huge assets. But there’s a potential to have four or even five new starters or defensive players at least rotational guys if you want to say they’re not going to start right away but four newer five new starters that could come in here and really really change the outlook of the Dallas Cowboys defense. We talked about Quinnon Williams. We talk about uh Logan Wilson. But there has been reports and news that Dearon Overshown is going to make his season debut for the Dallas Cowboys on this upcoming Monday Night Football game against the Las Vegas Raiders. So that’s a huge thing. And not only that, we could see the debut of Siobhan Rebel Jr. in his NFL debut. The quarterback out of Eastern Carolina University touring tearing his ACL was projected to be a firstround guy. And now guess what? he is potentially going to be out here. The Cowboys got him in the third round. It would be a very good time to see him, especially given the quarterbacks and um let’s say they’re the way they didn’t look good against the Arizona Cardinal probably the best way to put it. Those four players alone obviously can change the entire complexion of this defense. I would say that Siobhan Ro Jr. might not start right away, but he will be definitely a key piece and um would potentially start the next game if he doesn’t. I know that the stipulation around the NFL, around the Cowboys, is that Kaum not great. Daron Bland is okay. Uh obviously Trayvon Diggs is injured. Uh terms of linebackers, Demar and Logan Wilson, y’all are starters. Kenneth Murray Jr. get off my football team right now. I do not want to you’re you’re not good. You’re not. I’m tired of these linebackers. Um Jamar James done a great job for being a fifth round rookie, but he should not be a starter on an NFL squad this early being from the fifth round. Um, I’m excited to see Marviano never shown there. And then you can easily slide in Quinnon Williams into that nose tackle position. There’s also one other guy to look at and it’s Malik Hooker. The safety who has been on IR can potentially make his return. It’s very unlikely. We’ll find out a little more tomorrow at this point when practice starts. I guess they start practice on Thursday because the Monday night game. We’ll find out more on Thursday and uh see if that practice window is actually going to be opened up and if the chance for him to play is there. Malle Cooker would be a very good addition to this Cowboys defense. Um the safety room has not been good. Donovan Wilson has not been great. But I want to go back and talk about the two most important additions cuz by far Quinnon Williams is going to come in here and make an impact right away. Like legit right away this season already with New York. eight games. He had one sack, three force fumbles, and was a presence in terms of his run grade. He has a 99th percentile run grade in the PFF ranks. Obviously, you’re going to stop the run. Now, if Jerry Jones here, Jerry talked about it all season. We’re going to stop the run, guys. We’re going to stop the run. And he did that. He said, “I’m going to get the best run stoppers I can find. We’re going to put them in the interior of this defensive line. We’re going to make them work.” And guess what? The Cowboys, we ain’t going to let anybody rush against us. Uh but we’ll see cuz Amari De Micado ran all over us last week or I guess a week and a half ago now. But uh yeah, I I want to see it in full effect. Now I’m curious how the Cowboys lay this out. Obviously with the defensive ends Osa Disawa, Donovan Zaraku has been playing great. Um Dante Feller Jr. is in that mix as well, but interiorly you’re going to have Kenny Clark, you’re going to have Quinnon Williams, and those guys are going to be really in a good spot. Quinn um Osa again can play in that position. Um that’s probably where you’ll see him kind of a rotational spot. But overall, I believe Quinn’s going to make a huge impact. I also believe that Demarian Overshon is going to come in here and wreck the world. I mean, in the time we got to see him in 204, 13 games, 90 tackles, five sacks, one force fumble, a fumble recovery, an interception, and four passes defended, this guy is all over the field. You look back on that draft and it’s it’s terrible. It’s terrible. De Marvon overshown with how good he could be. I’m not gonna say could save that draft, but could really make it look a lot better. And he is that good and he plays that good. You just have to go out there and let him work. And so I’m excited to see him come out and play. And he has been constantly praised, constantly praised by Brian Shottenheimimer, by the entirety of the Cowboys coaching staff saying he might have been injured, but he has been in every meeting. He has been attentive in practice. He has been legit all over where we needed him to be. So, I expect him to come back and be 100% right away because of the dedication this kid has put in. And I’m very excited. And so if you think about this defense from a holistic standpoint, you’re thinking your edge rushers of Jadeon Clowney and Donovan Ezaraku are going to be in a great spot. If you go five on the defensive line, you can have Osa Degizawa, Quinn Williams, and Ken and Kenny Clark. Your linebackers can be Logan Wilson, Demaria Nishan, both new. Your quarterbacks, Don Bland, add Shioban Revel Jr. potentially starting in that spot. And then Wana Thomas and Don Wilson are your safeties. But there is that slight slight chance that Malik Hooker could return from the IR again. We have the practice window opening up on Thursday. That will tell us in all legitimacy. Is he going to play? Does he have the ability to play? Cuz if he does not open up his practice window, then guess what? There is not a chance he will play at all. So, um, Dearon’s a big one. Quinn’s a William. I’m excited to see Logan Wilson back in a starting role, especially for how bad the Cowboys linebackers have been. I It’s really going to help out, I think, more than people realize. But lots of changes, lots of good things going on, and I’m excited to be uh be here and we’ll be live for that game on Monday Night Football. So, make sure you join us here on Cowboys Digest.
