Arizona Diamondbacks willing to listen to offers for Ketel Marte
All right, two-part question here. One, uh, what I’ve said is that you’re not actively shopping Catel Marte, but that, you know, you guys have a lot of holes and it’d be wise to listen. So, I want to know if that is correct or incorrect. And then number two, um, the fact that he’s so close to being a 105 player, does that put any pressure on you to maybe have to trade him? Uh, no. No. The the second question, the answer to that is no. Um, I think the way our team is constructed right now, um, like I said, I have to be open-minded and listen to what possibilities could be out there to make put the team in a better spot for us, um, as it relates to pitching. Um, I I but but as far as that second part of it, no, that’s not putting any more pressure on having one of the best position players in all of baseball on your team is not a is not a pressure position in my mind. So, I am very happy with the group that we have and the players that we have and we’re part we’re worked hard to put those guys on our team and make sure that we have them here and we’re going to try to put the team and build a team around them that’s going to be the best version of itself come April with the buildup hopefully coming into July, June and July. And the first part was that what I’ve said is that you’re not actively calling and shopping him, but that if somebody does call, you’d be willing to listen. Is that correct or incorrect? Yes, that’s correct.
