damn how could justin herbert take all those hits? is he stupid? how come he doesn’t just get an elite offensive line like jalen hurts?
Champion bias
Happened with the Pats, Chiefs, etc and gonna stay happening lol
These people ranking def push their noses up their tush.
Media bias. Everything iv seen about the chargers win against the Steelers has been about how bad Aaron Engima was and that they gave the game to the Chargers.
All fair points ngl, the schedule is about to get much harder
Haha to be fair as a longtime chargers fan I have the same buyers beware feeling, but damn you reporter for pointing it out!
Fuck these clowns and let them keep sucking off Hurts, Mahomes and Allen until the end of time. Did they talk about that 4th down play sirianni called? Was that superbowl level coaching?? 🤔
I mean…he’s not wrong. Did you see the rankings of our o-line during the player intros?Â
Don’t get me wrong, there were bright spots and great takeaways from the game, and I’m going to enjoy that one all week. The defense looks really good. I still don’t feel amazing about their Swiss cheese up front.Â
But, who knows? There are a lot of teams that look like shit on offense at the moment (Denver, Philly, Packers, Bills, Vikings, etc.), and every team in the NFL looks beatable when their opponents show up. So, let’s get into the playoffs and see what happens!
I want to be more hyped on us, but I feel like it’s a matter of time before our JV O-line gets exposed. That being said… shout out to our OC for drawing up a game plan to work around said weakness.
I mean, are they too high on the eagles… yes.
But are they wrong about us, no…
Herbert is being hit waaaay too much to have a sustainable offence going into January. Our defense is definitely moving upward but we are three weeks removed from Colts wrecking us.
The Eagles are the defending champs. We are defending our qb w one of the worst statistical offensive lines of all time. Its gonna be ok if one beat writer nerd gives Philly a creamier glaze than us
It’s fine – you need to start worrying when everyone starts glazing us as SB favorites again
Herbert and Harbaugh gotta get a playoff win under the belt so we can get some media respect.. week in, week out.. it’s the same thing no matter what we put on the field lol
Honestly, I think the hesitations about us are fair. We had our worst offensive success rate against the Steelers. Our defense kicked ass but our offense will have to do better against the Eagles, Broncos and Chiefs. And it won’t be easy with the Oline we have. Hopefully getting Haskins and Dissly back as extra blockers will help. And hopefully Hampton will help open up our run game more. We also really can’t afford for Oronde to be out too long.
Insane how he barely even recognized the defense….
That was the most dominant defensive performance I’ve seen all year….
What happened to “defense wins championships”?
11 is more than fair imo. We have proven we can beat good teams, especially when healthy, but injuries and inconsistency have put a ceiling on the team
I’m still happy with how the season has gone, this team has shown a lot of grit and it’s impressive to be sitting at 7-3 right now with all of the injuries. It’s still a bummer to think about what this season could have been if Slater, Alt, Hampton, Najee, and everyone else had stayed healthy all year
this is a fair take to me. having a terrible o line is a serious knock against a team. i dont see how this is unfair
I’ve never understood why people care about power rankings so I generally avoid these topics, but honestly, I read far harsher critiques of the team on this sub reddit on an almost daily basis and far, far more after a loss.
It’s just some random’s opinionÂ
These rankings are such BS. If you’re not the team that the “media” wants to promote, then anything you do isn’t good enough. Chargers are regularly criticized and Herbert should be a top MVP candidate with how bad our offensive line has been this year.
This team has a less than 0 margin for taking anymore major injuries along the offensive line, we’re flirting with disaster and any objective fan and pundit knows this, you just can’t trust the Chargers to stay healthy which would easily keep the Chargers outta the top 10.
Honestly. This o line sucks. I don’t have much faith either. We lost to the giants, commanders, and almost the dolphins
