NHL Highlights | Kings vs. Canadiens – November 11, 2025

[Music] And by field and Suzuki dig in and away we go at the first period. Noah Dobson gets it in deep and tipped in the line. Barely kept in by Clark now for another former Canadian Arma and then Clark to the middle for Kente. Fires it on goal with six goals on the year. And now Brian Dumalan in that corner. Canadians get it back to Jack eyee fires it that’s tipped just wide no score early now Mat in for Cfield waiting centers and a great save by Keer on Suzuki what a setup there and he rolls it along tipped to the middle and Ar gets back to break it up Kempe had it stays in look out in front and there’s Keer again great setup and Demov the rookie with a glorious chance Ivon Demidov the 19year-old Off the face off, Mikey Anderson back now on to Dowy. Waiting, shoots it. Big rebound. Trevor Moore and a save by Mont. And now it’s KMO. 27.9% ranked fifth. The Kings have been much better on the kill the last three weeks. Here’s Hudson right in. Saved by Keer. LA has killed 21 and 24 in the last eight. Another good chance as the five on three continues. stops it now for Hudson right in front just by Suzuki back door feed if not for Bfield coming back so hard and here comes Drew Dowy on this Kings power play leaves it by field he carries the mail in shoots it right on save by Monto the rebound is loose and Clark after a rather quick whistle he finds Dowy and now Clark trying to walk in and Clark centers it and off the goender. It stays out. That was close by field right in the goal crease. Now the fairer shot and a pass save by Monto. Couple of good chances there for the Kings. He comes in. Thought about shooting in front. Kempe wide open and a save by Monto. And the Canadians can’t clear it by Kopitar. And now Fiala gets the speed going up the middle. Knocked down and then Clark over skates it. Here comes Kappan into the zone and back of the goal is Kappan. Comes free for Arma. 415 to go in the scoreless first period. Trevor Moore in front now back for Cece winds and shoots it and a stop by Montenbo in the opening period as Clark gets to the loose puck now for KMO. Hands it back. Edmonson shoots it right on and stopped by Montbo and kept alive now by Turkot. Turkot for Edmonson. Final minute now because Mako he looks around. Everybody’s covered. Hooks one now for Turkot trying to make a play and that’s knocked away by Jake Evans. Back come the Canadians. Threeon three. Hudson for Anderson shoots it. Shot by Anderson. Top corner. One- nothing Montreal. [Music] starts with a turnover right there. Turkot can’t get to the puck and then all of a sudden Montreal is going the other way. Now this shot comes from the angle but what out? It’s just a perfect shot. And again, you have a right hand shot on his off wing. So Anderson almost goes down to one knee. He gets the far corner on the play. Great look from behind the goalender Kemper set. It’s just a matter of picking that far corner perfectly, but it all starts in the offensive zone when you have everyone in that first period. So ready for the second teams are at full strength. Both clubs 0 for two in the power play and Biffield on the faceoff. Kings did not have a good faceoff period in the first winning 36%. Into the corner, FIA on it trying to tuck in front. Kings get it back by field with a move for Leferier to Fiala right in front. Tipped into the mitt of Montbo and then they go after Fia. 10 rush chances in that game. Really wore off the rush than the cycle. See if they can improve the cycle chances here in this one at the line. It’s Edmonson. Shoots it through a screen and a stop by Montbo. Don’t necessarily look at the result. Look at the process. says the winning becomes a side effect of that process and the Canadians doing it this year. Off the face off, Edmond pick shoots and he scores a bomb from the point and the former Canadian Edmonson has tied the game at one now. The big smile for the big rangy defenseman again. The defenseman switch sides in the offensive zone. It happens many times. Every team does it. You get an opportunity for the one-time shot and that’s exactly what happens. Kopitar wins it so cleanly. I don’t think there’s necessarily a screen as much as this shot is absolutely a bomb. And watch it right to the top just inside the post and Edmonson tags it home. He’s known for that big boomer and he gets it done right off the bat. Tipped in front by Kopitar. And now the Canadians Gallagher. No, he doesn’t get it. And Kempe with it down low for Kopitar. Extended zone time. That shot rebound. They score by field gets the rebound and the Kings have taken a two to one lead during the delayed penalty. But you need possession, you need control, not the case. And the Kings just kept grinding it out. There is the penalty, the initial play where FIA keeps his legs moving to draw the attention. And then finally, it ends up being one of those broken plays. It actually hit the skate to Edmonson to stay alive and goes off to the side. Now Biffield becomes the benefactor on the play, but all of it fatigue was probably an issue not only with the referees, but the Montreal Canadiens, they had to follow and follow and chase. Brian Dumalan pulls up trying to leave it for somebody. Leferior in the area. Grabbed by Fiala, who again has been on his toes tonight. Byfield tipped in front by Lefia. Rebound. They score. Fella, speaking of on your toes, he is right on the doorstep and he scores to make it 3-1 Kings. He ends up with a puck because the Kings just keep getting it down below the circles. Now, Montinbo, the goalender there, he miscued here. He thought perhaps that one of his teammates was there. Strug was there, but then Fela fights for position. Keep an eye left side. Yes, Kevin Fela. Did they get ice outcycled a lot in in games? Their 21st this season allowing. Here’s a chance. Short-handed Evans and a save by Keer as Mako shovels it along. Mat trying to handle it and lifted ahead by Kappan and back out and erase Kempe. Knocks Suzuki down up the middle. Takes a rather risky route up the middle. Lost the puck there by field off the glass. Kept in by Gallagher. Back to Doxit. And now New Hook in front, stopped and cleared away by Cece. And that was close as it got by a 31 lead. LA is 5-0 when leading after two. You normally do not have a lot of pressure, so the Kings back on. And now it’s Cfield in front. Great pad save by Keer. And now Matson on his horse to center in for Suzuki. He waits, drops it and a shot off the shoulder of Keer by Slovski. That was intended for Cfield. Picked off by Viala. Now the Frier comes in. Shoots it right on. Stopped by Monto. Good chance there off the rush to Balduk. Back to Docker shot. That’s high and wide on the short side. And then a race board. Arma comes in, stole it in the clear and he scores. Armia hit the pocket and buries it and it’s 4-1 Kings. It was just a clear by the Kings. It wasn’t an attempted pass, but Arma had the legs off the bench. You’ll see the play happen right here. Goes all the way around. Armia just knew, okay, he’s going to beat the guy. Hudson, it’s it’s actually a lift of the stick. He didn’t really battle him. He right there. Great look, guys. That’s a great replay. Then you see the quick hands once he squared up. He goes over the pad under the glove and the Kings get a good margin off a stick. No icing. That’s right. The Canadians got a piece of that one trying to prevent the shot. So four and a half to go. So Marty St. Louis pulling out all the stops here. Empty net for Fogle. Comes in, shoots, and he scores. Fogle from the blue line buries it. 5-1 Kings. Now, Phil Deno a couple times he just went right to a spot where Montreal is going to attack and he broke it up situation because he’s being rewarded. He’s had a heck of a half of the last half of the game. You see Deno right there. He’s in that center field position, maybe a safety in football just waiting for the play to come through him and it doesn’t get through him and the Kings go back the other way. Rolled around and now Jaden Strub that goes wide. No icing here and that will do it. A convincing 51 victory for the Kings who start out their road trip with two consecutive victories. I know some guys stand out more than others. [Music]

Quinton Byfield and Joel Edmunson both had a goal and an assist as Darcy Kuemper saved 21 of 22 shots as the Los Angeles Kings cruised to a comfortable 5-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens.

  1. Ok Monty sucked but he had a great first period just he couldn't keep it that way for the other 2 and that is his story ,he is not a 3 period goalie.

  2. Sam Montembeault can't even stop a beach ball! I'm sick and tired of him getting a chance to be the starting goalie. We all know that Dobes is better. He should just be the starter and I think they should just trade Montembeault. I know there isn't any trade rumors about him and the habs haven't really thought about trading him but if we could for like a solid second liner and maybe a couple draft picks it wouldn't be a bad pickup. As a matter of fact, that would free up some money to resign guys in the off-season and extend some contracts like Ivan Demidov or Oliver Kapanen. That is if we could trade him for a guy with a cheap contract or an older veteran that will retire in a year or two and we could just rent them for the playoffs. Sure! Yes we are losing a goalie but don't forget we do have Jacob Fowler to look forward to and we will need some money to resign him. Right now I don't think it's a temporary bad thing to have that, especially if you can get a couple draft picks out of the trade too. Not only that even if the Habs don't win the cup this year, which they're not expected to. They will have a veteran guiding their young playoff team and giving them tips and tricks to eventually win a Stanley Cup. I know this was a bit of a heavy comment, but I'm a big Habs fan and I feel very strong about who the goalie is, especially because I grew up watching one of the greatest goalies ever played for the Canadians, which would be Carrie Price and Dobes kind of reminds me of him.

  3. This is the game ive been waiting from Montreal. The entire season they have played chaos hockey. Like i have said before.
Huge bubble team, with capital B. In EVERY game so far this season.. they have had either a lead, more than one goal, then they have been down, but then comeback OTW, or been down like 3 goals, but able to win..in OT.. soo many late game tying goals, or even 1 game winner.. under 1 minute left..

Not this time. Habs fans, expect more games like this in the near future, sorry Habs fans, thats the reality.

  4. Habs had a bad night, but Monty needs to go before they waste more time developing nothing out of him.
He's the only part of the team that hasn't improved.

  5. Это тот случай когда молодые нарвались на опытных.This is a case where the young people ran into the experienced ones.

  6. Dobeš should call Halák and ask him what it’s like to play for Montreal when you’re the better goalie, but there’s also another Canadian goalie on the team…
