HIGHLIGHTS: LA Kings at Montréal Canadiens

[Music] and by field and Suzuki dig in and away we go at the first period. Noah Dobson gets it in deep and that goes wide right on the ice and tipped to the line barely kept in by Clark now for another former Canadian Army and then Clark to the middle for Kente fires it on goal with six goals on the year and now Brian Dumalain in that corner. Canadians get it back to Jack eyee. Fires it. That’s tipped just wide of Keer. No score early. Now Mat in for Cfield waiting centers and a great save by Keer on Suzuki. What a set up there. And the Kingston back and now Biffield lost it. Gets it back. And then Biffield trying to go around Slowski. And that’s broken up. And now Lefer hops on it for Los Angeles. drops it off the Bfield wide open off the goal post. What a chance for Bfield and another shot by FIA blocked. He’s going to get going. There’s the attempted pad picked off by Lefer. Now watch the support. Look at Fia come all the way across the ice and then once he gets there, it’s a one-touch pass. He rolls along, tipped to the middle and Ar gets back to break it up. Kempe had it stays in. Look out in front and there’s Keer again. Great setup and Demov the rookie with a glorious chance. Sivon Demidov off the face off Mikey Anderson back now on to Dowy waiting shoots it big rebound Trevor Moore and a save by Monto and now it’s Kusme the Kings have been much better on the kill the last three weeks here’s Hudson right in save by Keer has killed 21 and 24 in the last eight here comes Hudson back to Cfield de off with it for Hudson across stops to the middle now to Cfield. Shoots it. Missed on the short side. Good chance there. Canadian set up again this side for Suzuki. Debit it off. Suzuki looks in front. Hudson shoots it. Missed by inches. Another good chance as the five on three continues. Dogs it now for Hudson. Right in front. Tipped by Suzuki. Back door feed on this Kings power play. leaves it by field. He carries the mail in. Shoots it right on. Saved by Montau. The rebound is loose after a rather quick whistle. I’m going to take it myself. Great view coming right at you. Gets the shot then the rebound is there. It’s alive. It’s alive. It’s alive. It’s alive. No, it’s not. Referee’s right there. I’m not sure if the referee made the motion that was kind of It’s under the glove. It’s under the glove. It’s under the glove long enough. He finds Dowy and now Clark trying to walk in and Clark centers it and off the goender. It stays out. That was close by field right in the goal freeze. Now the very shot and a pass save by Mont. Couple of good chances there for the Kings and the Canadians icing Kempe back to get it. And here he comes. Hits the line. One-on-one. Shoots it off the goal post. He comes in. Thought about shooting in front. Kempe wide open and a save by Monto. And the Canadians can’t clear it by Kopitar. And now Dia comes free for Arma. 415 to go in the scoreless first period. Trevor Moore in front. Now back for Cece. Winds and shoots it. And a stop by Montenbo in the opening period as Clark gets to the loose puck now for KMO. Hands it back. Edmonson shoots it right on and stopped by Montbo and kept alive now by Turkot. Turkot for Edmonson. Final minute now. He looks around. Everybody’s covered. hooks one now for Turk trying to make a play and that’s knocked away by Jake Evans. Back come the Canadians three on three. Hudson for Anderson shooting a shot by Anderson. Top corner. One- nothing Montreal. [Music] Stunts with a turnover right there. Turkot can’t get to the puck and then all of a sudden Montreal is going the other way. Now this shot comes from the angle but what out? It’s just a perfect shot and again you have a right hand shot on his off wing. So Henderson almost goes down to one knee. He gets the far corner on the play. Great look from behind the goalender. Kemper set. It’s just a matter of picking that far corner perfectly. But it all starts in the offensive zone when you have everyone in that first period. So ready for the second. Teams are at full strength. Both clubs 0 for two in the power play and Biffield on the faceoff. Kings did not have a good faceoff period in the first. Winning 36% and then Docks into the corner. Fia on it trying to tuck in front. Kings get it back by Field with a move for Lefer to Fia right in front. Tipped into the mitt of Montbo and then they go after Fia. Don’t necessarily look at the result, look at the process. He said the winning becomes a side effect of that process and the Canadians doing it this year. Off the face off, Edmond picks and he scores. A bomb from the point and the former Canadian Edmonson has tied the game at one. Now the big smile for the big ranging defenseman again. The defenseman switch sides in the offensive zone. It happens many times. Every team does it. You get an opportunity for the one time shot and that’s exactly what happens. Kopitar wins it so cleanly. I don’t think there’s necessarily a screen as much as this shot is absolutely a bomb. And watch it right to the top just inside the post and Edmonson tags it home. He’s known for that big boomer and he gets it done right off the face. Lots of room here for Mikey Anderson. And now for Moore. Scoots in. Trevor Moore waiting. Pass in front. Oh, Anderson was open on the back hand and now FIA draws a minor into Clark across one-time tipped on goal as Biffield let it go and then Kevin Fiala pressure by the Kings delayed penalty. Kopitar Clark and he may have broken his stick comes around FIA lets it go back to Kee. Quick pass back for Kempe. Now FIA tipped in front by Kopitar. And now the Canadians. Gallagher. No, he doesn’t get it. And Kempe with it down low for Kopitar extended zone time. That shot. Rebound. They score by Field. Gets the rebound and the Kings have taken a two to one lead during the delayed penalty. But you need possession. You need control, not the case. And the Kings just kept grinding it out. There is the penalty, the initial play where FIA keeps his legs moving to draw the attention and then finally it ends up being one of those broken plays. It actually hit the skate to Edmonson to stay alive and goes off to the side. Now Biffield becomes the benefactor on the play but all of it fatigue was probably an issue not only with the referees but the Montreal Canadians. They had to follow and follow and chase and trying to leave it for somebody. Lefurrier in the area. Grabbed by Fia, who again has been on his toes tonight. Byfield tipped in front by Lefira. Rebound. They score. Fia. Speaking of on your toes. He is right on the doorstep and he scores to make it 3-1 Kings. It’s up for the puck because the Kings just keep getting it down below the circles. Now Montenbo, the goalender there. He miscued here. He thought perhaps that one of his teammates was there. Strugo was there, but then Fela fights for position. Keep an eye left side. Yes, Kevin Fel under 6 ft tall. Did they get ice outcycled a lot in in games? They’re 21st this season allow. And here’s a chance Evans and a save by Keer and lifted ahead by Kappan and back out in a race. Tempe knocks Suzuki down on his skates in front. Short shot and that goes wide. Shots against on that power play tip by Leferier. And now Mat around cut off by Deno to the middle. Or tips it just wide. Takes a rather risky route up the middle. Lost the puck there by field off the glass. Kept in by Gallagher. Back to Dson. And now New Hook in front stopped and cleared away by Cece. And that was close as it got by Keer. And Cece was in the right spot at the right time. And now Brennan Gallagher on this Montreal power play. It’s opposite. Stops it again. Shoots it right on. Saved by Keer. Clark back in his own zone. A stick there. And the puck gets by the stick and back out. Kier down the wall. Here comes Doc. fires it right on and rather easy save there by Keer and the Kings enjoy a 31 lead here in early November and Tempe with it for Arma has Kopitar in front instead of the back for Edmonson who was a goal and one assist you normally do not have a lot of pressure so the Kings back off and now it’s Cfield in front right pad save by Keeper and now Matson on the course to center in for Suzuki. He waits, drops it and a shot off the shoulder of Keer by Rokovski that was intended for Cfield. Picked off by Fiala. Now the Ferriier comes in, shoots it right on. Stopped by Monto. Good chance there off the rush. I mentioned Kevin Fiala. The Kings are on attack. Shot rebound going the other way to Balduk back to Docker shot that’s high and wide on the short side and then a race board. Arma comes in stole it in the clear and he scores. Aria picked a pocket and buries it and it’s 4-1 Kings. It was just a clear by the Kings. It wasn’t an attempted pass, but Arma had the legs off the bench. You’ll see the play happen right here. Goes all the way around. Armia just knew. Okay, he’s going to beat the guy. Hudson. Look, it’s it’s actually a lift of the stick. He didn’t really battle him. He li right though. Great look, guys. That’s a great replay. Then you see the quick hands once he squared up. He goes over the pad under the glove. Right. The Canadians got a piece of that one trying to prevent the shot. So, four and a half to go. So, Marty St. Louie pulling out all the stops here. Empty net for Fogle. Comes in, shoots, and he scores. Fogle from the blue line buries it. Situation because he’s being rewarded. He’s had a heck of a half of the last half of the game. You see Deno right there. He’s in that center field position, maybe a safety in football, just waiting for the play to come through him, but it doesn’t get through him. And the Kings go back the other way. Rolled around and now Jaden Strub. That goes wide. No icing here. And that will do it. A convincing 51 victory for the Kings who start out their road trip with two consecutive victories. And I know some guys stand out more than others.
