Kellen Moore previews Week 10 vs. Panthers | New Orleans Saints
All right. Um, medical. All right. So, uh, one guy declared out will be Ty with the ankle. Uh, questionable guys, Alvin with the ankle, Jack Stole with an ankle, uh, Barry Wesley coming off of the, uh, injured reserve with the hip, Jonah Williams with the shoulder, and then Brian Brucey with the back. So, those will just be the questionable component guys. Um, progressing well. We just got to let the week uh, finish it off for those guys, and we’ll see where it all stands. Other than that, we’re ready to roll. He’s in his window. Yeah, he’s in his um coming off the IR his 21 day window. [Music] Is there a possibility that um Dante Pettis or J Price might fill that trainer role and what are Yeah. Yeah. Um yeah, we’ve uh they’ve done a nice job through this week competing and uh Dante will be up as a part returner. So, he’ll do a great job and uh he’s done it before for a long time in this league. [Music] What specifically do you like about Tis that? Yeah, he he’s he’s played for a long time. He’s done done a really good job uh in that role and so uh you know, he’s obviously been consistent throughout his career and he’ll do a nice job back there. Rico over the last I think five weeks in the NFL in rushing. Um what has really allowed him to shine lately? Really physical running game. uh everyone involved in it from the O line, tight ends, receivers, the certainly the running back. Um he’s creating a lot of break tack broken tackles. Um you know, he’s he’s running with the physicality and um you know, they’re getting a lot of attempts at they’re playing controlling football and they’re doing a really good job with it. There’s a handful of throws in that Rams game where Tyler was kind of hitting those those like deep sideline throws. How difficult are those throws uh at this level? It’s kind of hard to find somebody who can make those those kind of Yeah. really good throws. Uh there’s a layering component of it. And so obviously there’s an underneath defender in most cases. There’s a above defender and so you got to lay this thing between those two defenders and uh you know he had a couple really good examples in this game uh this past week and something that we’ll continue to try and utilize. Can that open up things for like a play caller if you know you can consistently get those? Yeah, he’s done he’s done a really good job. thought uh you know that one even the scramble before the half where he throws it to Olive through the middle of the field um you know I think he he’s made a couple of those nice throws where he’s a able to layer it kind of to the second level you know behind the first level and uh give oursel ops and uh I don’t know if we’ve actually asked you this since um since he took over the job is there is there any hesitance at all uh to call design runs just considering his his history in college with injury not necessarily I think it’s in similar similar thought processes as far as uh you know expense you know there there’s still times where it’s advantageous and I think u you know part of the component is pick and choose when you provide those opportunities and then quarterbacks being smart of utilizing all the yards that you can get and uh making really good decisions at the end of the play. I don’t know if Bryce was starting last year when the players but obviously he’s come through whatever slump or whatever struggles he’s had in the NFL. How much have you seen him grow from even what he was last year to like now? Yeah, he’s grown each and every step of the way and uh you I think uh you know their staff has done a good job building it over the course of the last year and a half and um you know it’s a journey sometimes for for these quarterbacks and they go through you know some highs and some lows and uh shoot when we played him last year I was up in Philadelphia and you know they’re they’re one catch away from winning the game right at the end of the game and he he has a great two-minute drive and they’re just not able to finish it and so uh you know he he’s progressed well he’s done a nice job protecting the football giving them an opportunities to win these last few games you can tell they’re finding some consistency as a as an entire our unit and uh it’s allowing him to play confident for Tyler or even Spencer. Is that a valuable example of like not to get too low on the lows and and that it can kind of all work out? Yeah, it’s a big part of your quarterback development for any quarterback. Uh like you said, there’s highs and lows and there’s growth opportunities and um that’s all part of this journey as as these guys go. What’s the concern for? Yeah, just something we’ll have to let the week play itself out. Obviously feel like he’s uh he’s been able to practice in a limited fashion the last two days and so uh you know trending trending well there but obviously you know you got to let these things take its course through an entire week. Who do you expect to step in for Tally? Uh awesome. You know you’re down to two of your projected five starting offensive line. How big a challenge is that? defensive. Yeah, that that group’s got a great opportunity here for uh them collectively, individually. Uh it’ll be a great game. Uh it’s all about physicality, playing with the physical game, and then communicating at a really high level, and those guys have worked all week uh on that process, and so uh I feel good about that. Feel like your depth on the offensive line is stronger than you took over, but you guys made a lot of changes there. We had some offseason injuries that occurred and so obviously we had guys um you know that we anticipated being a part of this thing and obviously you have to make those adjustments as it goes. I thought um there’s been some positives. Awesome job you know kind of identifying some guys that we could bring bring to the the uh the team and provide some depth and these guys have you know Luke and uh awesome and you know some of these other guys who are part of the practice squad. These guys have been able to play these roles that will help us as we go. to the point of being down three of your stars on the offensive line from the beginning of the season. Not that it makes it, you know, any better deal injuries and everything, but a lot of these guys have worked with Tyler throughout the season. Is that you find that? These guys have worked Yeah, they’ve worked with Tyler. They’ve also played in these games with each other. And so, uh, we have these guys have rotated a little bit, you know, due to some injuries over the course of the season. So, these guys have had a lot of time together. And so, uh, you know, it’s a matter of those guys just coming together, which they will. Okay. Anything else? All right. Thanks, guys.

Same interview every week
Letβs draft some more interior players on both sides of the ball I would like interior lineman with great footwork that can pull and get to the 2nd and 3rd level #WHOO DAT
I like EUSTMA add he is a bulldozer
Never trust a backup qb to be a headcoach. This guy has not impressed me at all.
Kellen Moore has alot of developing to do himself as a head coach. Thatβs why I think his interviews are so vanilla.
Not to mention, his team as it stands needs ALOT of work!! As long as he can stay positive about the good things they are doing and put big focus on upgrading the O line and D line. They should look much better next season.
The draft is going to be critical though.
Keep pounding.
