🚨 Cowboys Get GOOD And BAD News Ft. DeMarvion Overshown, Shavon Revel And Juanyeh Thomas

The Cowboys just got a bunch of news. Some of it good, some of it not so good. Demarian Overshon and Savone Revel are officially back for the Dallas Cowboys. They had to make one roster spot come open to fit those two players and it’s not great on Juan Thomas and the Cowboys lost a player off the practice squad. All of that coming up on today’s show. Right now, let’s go with the bad news because we all expected Revel and Overshon to come back. The question was with already having one roster spot available, how were the Cowboys going to create a second one? Well, they’ve done it by placing Juan Thomas on the reserve nonfoot illness list, which I do believe is in direct correlation to the migraines he has been battling, which does worry me. Like, migraines suck. If if you’ve ever had one, you know how bad that they are. I am concerned that they’ve lasted this long and kind of continued to linger. he was able to return for a game, but now going on that non-foot illness list. I hope not know this, but I hope there’s no like underlying root cause that continues to be the problem there. Wet did tweet this out moments around the same time it was announced he was going on the non football illness list. I’m going to trust God with all my hardships, but this one I’ll do the same. Back soon. Trust. So, positive update, I guess, like attitude-wise for Wany Thomas there. This is a notable loss though for the Dallas Cowboys again. And it kind of feels like two step forward and and one step back with getting two players back, losing guys that become a starter for you because of all your injury issues at safety, which is we’ll see in a second how banged up they are. Wany Thomas had taken over as a starter. I don’t think he had been incredible. I think that the big picture issues that have already existed on the Cowboys safety room in the Cowboys safety room and just other spots on this roster in general were a bigger factor. But now Juan Thomas is going to go on the nonfoot illness list. We’ll still label it NFI. It is different than non- football injury, but it’s the same abbreviation, so we’ll just keep it that way. Um, uh, hopefully he’s he’ll be back soon. Don Wilson, I think, will be back this week. I don’t know about Elijah Clark. Like we had mentioned our cut candidates like maybe they put Elijah Clark on IR. Well, ends up being one Thomas who goes on that list instead. We’ll see when Malik Hooker’s back. Uh, Maris Bell is available. They’ve played Ready Stewart Summit safety. Is it this a Julius Wood callup week? I It’s dangerously thin again at the safety spot. Give me your oneword reaction. Mine is unfortunate and also get well all in one word. One word reaction to one Thomas being put on the nonfoot illness list. It’s the pin comment on today’s show. Let’s go back to the positive stuff here. Dearian Overshon set to make his return to the Dallas Cowboys. They’ve officially activated him from the pup list. These are all different ones here. Physically unable to perform because he wasn’t on IR to begin the year. Uh Overshown when he has been out there in the very small sample size over his first two and a halfish seasons has been awesome. Uh Overshon has been I think one of the better players out there for the Dallas Cowboys. Everything he has done has been been really impressive, really impactful. You know, we’ve showed you those stats in the past. I am hoping we get the good version of Demarian Overshon back out there. We’ll come back to him more in depth here in a little little bit. But Savone Revel also making his return to the Dallas Cowboys, or I should say not return, his first chance to play as a member of the Dallas Cowboys organization. He was on the non-foot injury list. And the reason being, if the injury happens before you get to the NFL, it actually counts as a non-foot injury. So, it’s very weird, complicated, but that is the differential there. Uh, which addition, I won’t say return cuz it’s new for Rebel. Which addition excites you guys more? DO for Demar and Oversh S for Savone Rebel. My vote is oversh because we’ve seen him before, but let me know in the comments section of today’s show. I am very curious to see how the Cowboys deploy over Sean. They just keep him as an offball linebacker and allow him to blitz some. I will not be upset by that. Does he spy? Do you try to get creative with some of like is he one of your outside linebackers in a 34 look? Because you’re going to use all those fiveman front stuffs with your extra defensive lineman. That wouldn’t upset me nor surprise me. I I wouldn’t be surprised either if there was some semblance of like trying to get him on a pitch count to not like um like to not let him like get overly worked and like not jeopardize him and and be patient there. But I I want to play him and I I want to play him alongside Logan Wilson. I know coming off the calf injury with the Bengals. I’m not sure that’s that severe. We’ll know more when the first injury report drops later this week. But I am extremely excited about the return of Demarian Overshon. That defense needs him, the good version of him. And then Savone Rebels return, which should boost the Cowboys potentially, maybe more long-term than instant impact. the same way it is uh with with the Marvian overshel has immense talent. I think he fits what every coach wants out of their corners. He’s long, he’s lanky, he’s got great ball skills, he’s athletic, like he fits a really he’s an outside corner. He fits that mold very well. I do wonder if Ready Stewart gets more safety reps now with Juan Thomas going to IR. He’s been the emergency safety for the Cowboys in weeks past. Rebels back. So is Kaylin Carson Triquiz Bridges, Don Blank, Kyer Elum, Ready Stewart. They go six deep right now at corner, not even including CJ Goodwin. I just do wonder and Stephen just kind of kind of hinted at this. Do they play it a bit more cautiously? Do they not rush to bring back Savone Rebel in terms of a snap count perspective and take it more of a he’s not going to be as impactful for 2025, but he’s going to be a huge part for 2026, etc. Now, with that said, maybe you want to start Savone Revel, which I would get. Should Savo and Rebels start against the Raiders or at least like play on third downs. So maybe it was a good way to describe it there. Let me know in the comments section of today’s show. So this is a practice squad loss for Dallas. The note for me is he was never going to be be on our team. Not that impactful. Uh, only Wesley French is left on your practice squad among offensive linemen. So, I would not be surprised if in the coming days we get word of the Cowboys have signed so and so to their practice squad just to give them some additional emergency death depth. Even though they are pretty deep on the 53 when it comes to offensive linemen. If that happens, we’ll have at least a short on it for you. Cowboys fans have finally got the Dallas Cowboys news they’ve been waiting for with the returns of DeMarvion Overshown and Shavon Revel. Both players have been officially activated from their injured lists, clearing them to return against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Cowboys roster move made to make room: The Cowboys have placed Juanyeh Thomas on the reserve/Non-Football Illness list. It’s likely due to migraines, but it’s a notable blow for the Cowboys.
