I just can’t get over how I was telling my dad ALL OFF-SEASON how much I love Sebastian Castro only for him to get put on the practice squad, picked up by Tampa Bay, then put back on waivers, only to now be ON THE 53-MAN ROSTER. Hopefully he stays there for a bit

Would it be possible for another team to grab asante samuel jr off the steelers practice squad?

If we get dog walked again, absolutely bench AR and give him a try. They seriously need to before spending a high draft pick on a qb next draft.
The insane Facebook hype will be turned up to 11 again.
As a rational person, I understand that he is the 3rd string QB and has absolutely no business seeing the field. There’s a reason he went as late as he did in the draft.
As an irrational Steeler fan, fuck it, I want to see what he can do.
BIG WILL BLASTOISE
Every team in the league passed on this guy 5 or 6 times (or more). I’m not saying he can’t be good, but we gotta temper expectations. Realistically, if he’s a solid backup, he will be remembered as a successful draft pick. It’s incredibly rare for a guy drafted that late to be even a serviceable starting QB.
It makes more sense to let this guy try to develop on the sidelines for a couple years. Eventually, you elevate him to #2 and see what he can do there. They still get to evaluate him in practice and camp, so if they see something more, they can give him a better shot. There’s no point in throwing a 6th round pick to the wolves unless you have to.

The 3 star recruit from K State. I didn’t know he was still playing football. I think he has QB 1 potential, only bc the Steelers drafted him.
I expected Howard to stay on IR. Are the Steelers going to activate Asante Samuel or MVS this week? And if so who gets cut?

I actually would love to see this guy play and see what he’s got. Not over Rodgers obviously but hopefully at some point in the season. Pretty intriguing for a 6th round pick. Not expecting much but you never know.
Other than desperate hope, is there a particular reason the online fan base is so high on this guy? Hes a late round QB likely to be a career backup, at least from what I can see. Why do people expect a Tom Brady reincarnate?

With everything coming out about AR, his relationship and how he treats his teammates, as well as just his poor play lately, I’m making a bold prediction that Will will get a chance to start on 12/15 against the dolphins at home once we’re through these next few challenging games
