Ducks for cover. Stephens is a steal

  1. Yeah the first couple games of his really buried the lede, he’s been really damn good this past ~6 weeks or so.

I think between Stephens, Thomas, and Brownlee our corner group really isn’t a major problem; they’re good, even. If a good one we like is on the board in the draft, I don’t think we’d pass on him, but a lot of people are assuming corner is a need after trading Sauce and I don’t think that tells the whole story. If we don’t address corner in the offseason, that’s probably not going to be a problem for us like LB, D-line, safety, or WR will be. edit: And obviously also quarterback, but I assumed that went without saying

  2. I can’t believe people were freaking out about this guy 2 weeks in calling for him to be cut lol and the worst signing ever. He’s been amazing since then.

Stephens and Brownlee are so good that the secondary hasn’t really missed a beat without Sauce.

  3. He’s been good but about maybe getting an interception just 1 time it’s almost impossible for a team to go 9 games with only 1 turnover

  4. Hey, he had a REALLY rough start to the season, he looked back. Then, something clicked, and he turned it around. Everything single Jets podcaster I’ve heard has had some form of mea culpa in regards to thinking that Stephens was a mistake.

  5. You would think with our tendency to overreact and want immediate results would be tampered by the fact that Darnold is in an MVP race, Geno Smith has been to the ProBowl and Flacco is still torching defenses. But I guess 50+ years of losing frays some nerves permanently

  6. I panned the signing but was hoping Glenn had a vision. After week 1, I figured I was correct. Turned out I was wrong and I’ll gladly accept that.

  7. Its still very early, but you gotta give Mouge credit for
Some good moves and signings. He seems to be really active in trying to find guys who fit AG & Cos schemes.
