[Schefter] Source: Broncos are signing WR Lil’Jordan Humphrey off the Giants’ practice squad. Humphrey now is returning to Denver, and he is likely to play Sunday vs. the Chiefs.

  13. He’s unironically one of the best blocking WRs we could grab. This should be a huge help and he should be able to play right away since he already knows the system

  15. Actually happy. I thought it was good to move him to see Franklin and Mims develop, but I’m out of that honeymoon period at this point.

    Now missing this dude, and Vele. Not to mention Patrick.

    Give me big, slow and reliable. I’m tired of ball dropping dweebs who can’t block.

  16. I was literally debating with another guy in this sub a few weeks back that trading Vele hurt our WR room, reducing Bo’s options and making it easier for defenses to shut down Sutton. In another pre-trade thread, I even thought it would be worthwhile to trade a WR (cough cough.. Franklin) and a pick to get a more developed WR.

    So while not apple to apples, it’s telling that we’re going back to pickup a former Broncos WR to hopefully address some issues on the offense.

    This guy knows where to be on each play and that is huge! A big problem this team has right now is the young receivers aren’t in the right places at the right times. They are struggling at reading coverages and running routes according to the defense. Humphrey knows how to do that. This is great

  23. He’s a very solid big body blocker so maybe we can actually spring somebody on one of our 15 screens per game. Also, I thought he was pretty decent last year getting open. And it rules to have a guy name Lil on the team. If he does anything cool you can do the Lil John Yeah!! And that way people will know how cool and hip you are!

  24. Y’all talked smack when I praised him, he is a huge asset to have back and he has room to grow but is young and Payton is great at developing guys.

  26. 6’4” 225lb receiver that has experience in Payton’s offense and can block. Yes please.

  27. I’m ready for every offensive possession to just be screens to Harvey, Franklin, and Mims with the occasional lob to Sutton.
