The Angels have hired Max Stassi as their catching coach. They also hired Keith Johnson (AAA mgr) as 3B coach and Andy Schatzley (AA mgr) as IF coach.

2. This a great hire. Loved Stassi as a catcher and glad he came back to work with the team.

4. Stassi will barely be 35 by regular season start, I find this funny that he’s already a coach

5. This may be a smart move given the fact a significant part of the roster knows, played for and (presumably) respects Johnson and Schlatzley. Relationships are already in place, and the new coaches are largely up to speed on the players.
