THIS is why the Jets kept Breece Hall | All-22 Film Breakdown

  1. After the Jets traded Sauce/Quinnen my mindset changed.

You no longer need more high picks. Keep Breece Hall. Put in place the best offensive infrastructure with GW, Taylor, the OL and a drafted WR in the top 40.

His explosiveness is back and he’s playing terrific ball. These 3 plays in the 4th Q won the Jets the game

  2. I get the devalued RB position but there’s not another Breece Hall available in the 2nd round right now. Why not give him a fair contract? With his missed season due to the ACL he can probably be elite for another 4-5 years.

  3. Breece can be a rookie QBs security blanket next year. He needs to be signed before the off-season. Letting him walk away for nothing would be horrible. Look what the NYG did with Saquon. (No offense to Giants fans)

  4. The comparison I always give for this is Darius Slayton whom the Giants gave 3/$36M. In free acengy you’re getting hamburgers at steak prices, that’s roughly the quality of player you would get with the money that could go towards a Breece extension. I just have a very hard time believing there’s a better use for that money than a crutch for our incoming rookie QB.

  5. Takes two to tango. I doubt he willingly signs here no matter what money we throw at him. Gonna get tagged and be a hostage, although I think he actually plays on the tag instead of sitting out.

  6. He is worth a third based on talent and tread left on the tires. The Chiefs would not trade a third. He is likely looking at a deal similar to James Cook who has been more productive and better for obvious reasons. Mougey has a lot of ammo to throw that at his agent and get it done based off Cook.

And tbh, I am fine with that. They should extend him on basically Cook’s contract.

  7. Chiefs are really fools for not offering a 3rd rounder for breece no disrespect to Johnathan Taylor but put breece on the Chiefs offense he’s probably the best back in the league
