He’s projected to get 135/6. There’s no reason we cant be competitive at those numbers. He also seems to want to compete against the dodgers. He probably ends up in NY, but this isn’t Yamamoto, we can make an offer here.
I hope we do get some japanese players that want to compete against not with Shohei.

Unfortunately, the dodgers are Asia’s team. The rest of the league can get Asia’s players after the dodgers pass on them. They’ve built this up since the 90s and it’s hella paying off now.

Meh I don’t hold much hope, sucks saying that but it is what it is.
If the Dodgers want him, and they probably do, they’ll get him. Baseball needs a salary cap.
