Yay! It was a great season from him and our starting pitching situation would’ve been a lot worse if he didn’t step up the way he did. Wildly exceeded my expectations, I was just hoping he could eat a bunch of innings and have a sub 4 era.
Great season for the guy!
How does anyone justify giving any votes to Luzardo and his near 4 ERA?
Wow that’s extremely impressive (for what we thought was just a pickup)

Niebla magic!
i thibk we can all agree that Pivetta was the Padres 2025 MVP.
The guy is a straight up gamer. The Padres gave him not only the opportunity to be a full time starter, but the security of a 4-year deal worth more than I think he ever expected. So what does he do in return? Tells us how happy he is, how grateful he is for this opportunity then goes out and takes the bump every 5th day and all of us watched him pitch all summer long giving everything he’s got each and every start, leaving it all on the field, and nobody can question that. Cliche but, it’s not always the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog period.

That’s pretty neat.
