NHL Highlights | Sabres vs. Mammoth – November 12, 2025

Twoame home stand. Islanders will be here on Friday night. We are underway. Logan Culie’s in it with Keller and Nick Schmaltz out there. Utah trying to take care of them here tonight at Delta Center. Get back on the winning track as this one’s played by Ellis. And he’ll steer it around. Kevin Stellin out high. D Simone with a shot. and the Western New York native. What a good look at Cole Nellis. Taken away. Done. Back out high. Bow and Byron. And now back out high. Quinn. Quinn right towards the front. They score. And that’s itak Rosanne. And it’s a one- nothing Buffalo. Well, one thing Utah has been really good at at home. Yamamoto is going to flex out to the right side as this puck goes up and he gets beat. And what that happens, all of that ice behind him gets exposed. It’s a nice move off the wall. There’s Yamamoto just trying to close on his man. Gets his stick up in the air versus along the ice. And that’s all it takes for the Savers to take an early lead. I think this goal is and Cole will set it up. Utah brings it along. Logan Kulie across one time Ellis. Oh, what a stop on Nick Schmaltz to a streaking Logan Culie. And he doesn’t stop his feet. That’s the key. But then in full flight, still is checking his peripheral vision. Look at him looking out of the corner of his eye and delivers a beauty to Nick Schmaltz. It’s too bad for male Sergeev is a little trigger happy right now and that’s a good sign for Utah. When he shoots, good things happen. Back to the front, jamming it there. Gunther can’t get it past Ellis. Sure they apply using their speed. He’s going to end up drawing a penalty as Gunther drives the net. Ends up just being too close to the goalie to really redirect that puck anywhere to space. But still encouraging signs. Half a minute to go on the minor to Krebs. Stenland to the line and across Barrett Hayden for Schmidt. Now Hayden to the front. Yamamoto is there. But Ellis instead of looking for the direct shot, he’s looking for a redirection in front. Keep an eye on Kylo Yamamoto. All Barry Hayden is trying to do there is not beat the goalie with the original shot. Just put the puck in there. Hope for a good bounce. Maybe a a size mismatch with Sous and and and Bristol was putting a lot of smiles on the guys, too. It was an unbelievable day. You and I were out there, Don. And Tusky sure bakes a heck of a cake, doesn’t he? He does. And now Cole and it’s taken away. Quinn’s got it now for Buffalo at the Utah end. Now an opportunity and across and they score. Frozen’s having a night. Second of the game and it’s two nothing Buffalo. And you see the cross and drop and then confusion as two Mammoth players go to one saber. Schmaltz and Cole both go to the same saber and that leaves the shooter wide open. And Carella a little bit quiet right now here. Delta Center. This one nearly put home. Miscommunication there. Samuelson. And now Byron steered away by Mamela. Yeah, same rules apply here. You’re down two, but you can’t lose your edge. Got to continue to focus. Take it away. Nate Schmidt and he goes in behind the net. Giveaway. Done. Done to the front. stopped and a rebound and the Melka it’s in the crease and they swat away at it and Kessle Ring can’t buy it on the rebound but just all Buffalo right now two nothing both goals Rosans take it away Alex Tuck will get it out but backtracking is Krauss that’s the key there Mattie the backtrack from Krauss he knew that Nick D Simone pinched to try to keep the play alive. You got to have a safety valve. Carone with it. He goes in. Carone across. Oh, he had a shot and a goal. 50 Simone. And the Buffalo product just got him on the board. Place erupt. And it’s the best line for Utah over the last six games that gets this place into a frenzy. doesn’t quite connect on the initial play from Michael Carone who takes the corner. Tries to find Krauss to no avail but right to the front bouncing around. I I mean Utah’s having to work for every inch. Yeah. In front. Keller with a shot. A stop and rebound. Side of the neck. What a save. Maybe a threeon two the other way. Here they come. Keller Schmolz and Keller with it. drops a D Simone. He shoots off the pipe. Big D Simone looking for the deuce. A track meet back the other way. And all that pressure to the net from Koulian Schmaltz opens up the room for the trailer. D Simone who lets a mama team back. They trail by one and we are underway. Brought right back in. Shot over the top and we’ll get a whistle. McBain here to take the draw against Payton Krebs. Utah wins it. Marino trying to get a shot towards the net who is blocked out high by Dunn. Picked off by Purka. Purka’s in. He shoots. He scores. Jay Purka against his old team. And it’s tied early in the third. Utah’s most reliable line of late gets the job done, but it’s JJ Purka that gets thrown out with Kraussen McBain and the faceoff win turns into an opportunity for the lethal shooter and Purka goes far in against his old squad. Yeah, it’s cannon fire off of Jake D. Simone will pull it back. Boston Krauss. Purka to Krauss. Shoots. He scores. Boston. Wow. Copper Carter. Just can’t stop. They are relentless. McBain Krauss Prerska now and here’s Lawson Krauss from a bad angle. No problem. I’ll flip it off the bar and in give and go hockey. Yeah, a couple of tweaks to the middle lines. Here’s Kulie. Kulie, he can’t get it under and passed Ellis. Ellis kept it out with the shot here. Keep an eye on the pump right there. Just a little subtle move with the right knee to make it look like he was going to shoot. Held it another beat. Really good body positioning. And you know what? We we’ve talked small margins here tonight, right? So, so in a way that’s a small margin because if he goes on top and gets a penalty, that could be brutal. It’s a great point. Details. Details. And if he’s doing it, everybody else better be doing it, too. He scores. Nick Schultz. Set up by the captain. Utah doubles up Buffalo to defense. Pays off as Karma strikes as Clayton Keller in the offensive zone. Now eyes up straight onto the tape of awaiting Nick Schmaltz. Barry thought they had some bad puck luck in the opening period, but they’ve been a completely different team. Kulie trying to go wide. Koulie with a shot. A stop there. Acceleration all the way up to 22 miles. Brought along. Kak brings it in. Quinn now. Quinn out high. Power with a chance and that ricochets wide. looking to get it out. Helped along by Schmaltz. Keller into the empty net. He scores. And that will do it. Well, what an effort defending the lead from Utah as they work together. Advance this puck up. They drop the puck controlled. Connor Timmons will get it out and it goes all the way down. And that is going to do it. Four goals in the third period by Utah. That’s the first time they’ve ever done that.

JJ Peterka, Nick Schmaltz and Clayton Keller all had a goal and an assist to help the Utah Mammoth beat the Buffalo Sabres 5-2 while at home.
