This is so discouraging to hear. This is supposed to be the face of the franchise. What’s the point of spending a top 10 pick on a qb if you’re not gonna give him the tools he needs to succeed?

Ngl, I have been very much one to not overreact to things we see and post about this coaching staff, but this is unacceptable to me. Unacceptable. That isnt the end all be all. Mike McDaniels spends a ton of time with Tua and Tua isn’t very good and his coaching style has a lot of questionable moments. But to me, that part of his process should be standard. Your coaches should always be coaching. Especially in game. Especially with a young qb. Imagine Penix were a boxer or fighter and between rounds his corner didnt say anything to him, even when he was getting his ass kicked? You would ask why are they even there. And I could forgive it if the team was winning. Or if the offense was humming. But the offense sucks, your young qb is struggling and you arent coaching him on the sidelines??? Time to let Raheem dream somewhere else. At least Zac Robinson. We have a fucking qb coach for every qb on this team and no one is coaching him in game??? Fuuuuck that.

How are old QB coaches reaching out and his current QB coach isn’t helping? Apparently TJ Yates was moved to WR coach (assuming after Ike Hilliard firing) so who has been the QB coach since then? No one?

The most important thing about this year was Penix’s development and they are not helping him.
I’ve been wondering what kind of mentoring Cousins may be giving him on the sidelines but I think that answers the question.

This staff rolled Kirk and Koo under the bus last season and probably rolled Ike too. So glad that Penix just rolled them the fk under it. This is why Ray Ray freaked and for the second year in a row we have another player saying they just work here. Falcons culture is clearly toxic dysfunction and they need to clean house from top to fkn bottom.
He’s also flat out saying that Kurt Cousins does not help him.
Indiana University fan, so I’ve followed Penix carefully for years. He said what he said here intentionally – this was carefully spoken, and I’m confident he understands how it’ll be perceived.

I’ve been Mr. calm down and stay positive for the past few weeks in this sub but after seeing and hearing this.. I’m really on board with bringing some fresh ppl into those positions as soon as possible.
100% a diss at this coaching staff. He’s saying it without saying it.
I’d be hard pressed to find a more damning indictment of this coaching staff than this. Completely unacceptable.
