Mike Brown on Knicks response to officiating in loss to Orlando: “Disappointing to see is that everything that happened on the court, we blamed the officials… We were the culprits of a lot of stuff that happened out on the floor… I couldn’t even use a challenge because we were fouling.”

Mike Brown continued: [If we’re a no excuse team, we gotta go play the right way as best we can and not lay the blame any place else except square on us. If you leave it on the floor the right way, you’re not gonna win ’em all, then you take an L. Move on to the next one](https://streamable.com/pea1m2)
100% agree. Kat, brunson, hart all of them.
Good view on this, regardless of the refs Towns is bigger than anyone on Orlando so a physical game should benefit him. Instead of complaining and flailing he needs to use his size and back people down like how he did to Sarr a few games ago.
Team in general was bad but it’s so annoying watching Towns consistently do this against good defenses where he barrels in, misses or charges and complains…
Amen.
Love this accountability
I love this approach
When we have our bench unit in there and they are getting their sphincters resized in the second quarter he needs to call Time out and stop the bleeding.
But yeah there is nothing that gets me more annoyed about this team than the non stop complaining to the refs. And KAT will let his man go down the court and dunk on his teammates because he’d rather bitch about a non call on the other end.
I love how candid mike is, even for negative shit like this. No excuses and no like bullshit responses.
The difference is the magic fouled on nearly every possession and the refs get tired of calling fouls.
Not the reason for the loss but the officiating was uneven at best. Magic were treated like a respected physical defense and allowed to play with a lot more grabbing and holding.
Accountability, Great to see.Fix it and let’s go Knicks!
I wish we had a coach that called out the refs. Carlisle for instance is an annoying pissy piece of shit but when he complains about officiating it works.
Can I agree and also disagree? I mean the refs were awful this game but so were we. We came out playing iso ball and never stopped. However, as far as not being able to challenge, KATs 4th or 5th (can’t remember) was 100% phantom. Challenge that shit dude, or are we still only saving those for OOB plays with 1.7 sec left in the first quarter? I like the accountability but he needs to take some too. Stand up for your team during the game and get in the face of the refs when it’s so one-sided. I’d rather he got a tech or a couple and ejected than hands in the pockets shoulder shrugs.
Finally. This was enabled for years starting with Randle. Drives me nuts how all of the argue and don’t get back. Deuce throws up a ridiculous shot then expects a foul called???
