Tetairoa McMillan on matchup with Falcons secondary | Carolina Panthers
offense defense that may look a little bit different from the first meeting in week three. Uh I mean, first things first, um you know, AJ wasn’t playing that first week, so that’s obviously going to be a big change. And uh you know, I know they got some guys down and whatnot, trying to uh find some guys in the right spot, but um you know, it’s a completely different team than we played um the first time. So, you know, we just got to expect everything. Bryce talked about defensively their rookies sort of finding their legs a little bit and you can see it on film. What about you? Like how much how different does it feel for you now over halfway through the season than where you were maybe in week three? Uh I mean, yeah, you obviously get better with experience and um at the end of day, I’m just playing football, man. Just trying to do what I can out there and um you know, trying to treat every every week the same. You mentioned AJ Terrell with him being out there on Sunday. Does that add a little bit more focus, energy for you heading into this week? Uh, I mean, yeah, I guess, uh, you know, I try not to take, you know, uh, or do some differently just because we playing a different opponent. You know, I’d like to treat everybody the same, but obviously, you know, I’m looking forward to that competition, that battle out there. I like being at home, but is there anything to going on the road and sort of, you know, sticking together and and all that sort of stuff in a hostile environment? Does that maybe help you focus just just a little bit more dialing a little bit more? Uh I mean not necessarily. I mean I like I like playing in different stadiums. So just being able to play in the I believe it’s MercedesBenz just for the first time. Obviously that’s going to be a blessing. But um I kind of like uh playing on the road just because you know it’s really just the people on our team versus everybody else. So um obviously like you said you just got to lock in. But um you know just playing football out there with locking in. How has this uh week of practice looked for you guys maybe in comparison to the energy where things were last week? Uh I mean we we only had one day so far, but I mean I feel like the focus is there. You know, we’ve been locked in, you know, just trying to um execute the plays. You just mentioned enjoying being able to play in different stadiums. Do you ask the vets about the environment or do you want to experience it for yourself? Yeah. No, I’m experiencing for myself. I don’t really ask them. I I just asked kind of just, you know, what’s the best stadium that you played in on the road, but other than that, no, I don’t ask specifics as far as, you know, how was this stadium? How’s that stadium passing game in your eyes? What you mean? Like, you know, 15 20 yards down the field, longer completions, bigger gaining plays, chunks as they call them. What do you think has to happen? Uh, shoot. I just think we just got to play a a good collective offense, you know, get the run game going, get the pass game going. So, you know, the the defenses that play us got to respect everything that that we throw at them. So, um, yeah, I feel like just establishing the run game and just doing what we’re supposed to do to open up, you know, other things. I know you mentioned AJ, but this Falcon secondary as a whole is at the top of the league. When you watch the tape, what is it that they’re doing? Uh, shoot. They, you know, they flying around. They got a lot of young guys that contribute. Um, obviously, you know, they got a good front seven. You know, they got a good collected defense. So, um, you know, obviously we’re looking forward to that battle. Um, yeah, we’ll see what happens. I know you’re a rookie, but you play now two division games. Do you feel like there’s a level of edge rises in these type of games that might be a little more when it comes to the division? I mean, yeah, for sure. you know, people play a little harder when it’s either a division opponent or a rival game. So, um, you know, those type of games, obviously, you know, they got a chip on their shoulder just because of being the first time. So, obviously, we got to expect a chippy game and, you know, it’s going to be a lot of fun. [Music]
