the comments that you made on the stream that have been making the rounds. Was there any perspective or explanation that maybe you wanted to give everyone for some context behind those comments? Which cont which comments are you referring to? Um I believe it was a Twitch stream where you said um you alluded to the fact that you weren’t totally happy or things weren’t going well work-wise. Yeah, I think uh I think that’s fair. I think if you got eyes, you can see that, you know, the same things I’ve been saying um like all season, you know. So, me making light of my situation on Twitch with with my friend, you know. Uh that’s something I’m not apologizing for, you know, cuz like I said, if you got eyes, you can see that. And so, uh that’s me trying to like laugh through my situation. So like yeah. What do you what do you how do you see your situation? How do I see my situation? What what situation do you mean specifically? Uh you know trying to figure it out, trying to trying to get this thing rolling, trying to trying to help, you know. So, this past game you had on target, right? First two driv I don’t know. That’s something that’s a question I can’t answer, you know. You know, I think like I said, like I think that’s fair. you know, I see that the offense struggling and, you know, I want to help contribute, you know, and I didn’t get those opportunities. And so, like, I’m going to have a problem with that, especially the player I am, and especially the player that you want me to be as a as a as a player, you know, and uh I’m I’m that’s tough for me, you know, and I’m and that’s tough for everybody else cuz everybody want to contribute, you know, even said somebody had to make the play. So, we’re trying to put ourselves in the best situation to make those plays, you know, you just got to get an opportunity. That’s just I didn’t get that. And when the and when the defense we’re hearing is that well, you know, you’re opening things up for all the guys and we know that, but you see you see around the league, you know, hey, JJ gets doubled and gets double. They still find a way to get those guys high volume. Yeah. Targets. Meanwhile, you’re not. So that’s I think that’s why people are questioning. You look at the numbers. Yeah. Like I said, I think if you got eyes, you can see that. It’s not about what uh what those other guys get. And um and for me, like I said, man, it’s not about targets, man. It’s about just want to contribute. I want to help, you know, and uh just been my been my situation, you know, and uh yeah, I am freeing up my teammates, which I don’t have a problem with, guys. Like me freeing me freeing up the the play for Devonte. I don’t have a problem with that, man. Like, I want to see my team win. I want to see offense thriving, passing, you know. Uh yes, I dictate the coverage. That’s every single week, you If you look back on film, every single game I’m getting clouded. There’s no there’s no surprise. We play Detroit on on Sunday night. They play a lot of man. I’m pretty they’re going to cloud me. That just what comes with it, you know. And you even look back at that Denver game playing against the best corner in the game. He they started going one-on-one. I started winning end of the game cloud. That just what it’s going to be for me. So, like I think uh I think it’s fair for me to even say like I feel like we we do need to do a better job of creating for me, trying to help put me in situation to help to you know what I’m saying to contribute. Um but right now I just it just feels as if you know I’m uh just bringing it up for everybody. What do you think it is? I I can’t answer that. Do you voice that the coaching staff and how does that process go? Yeah. Yeah. That’s like I said that’s that’s been a non-stop communication. We we we we both been talking and trying to get on the same page. Uh so you think the answers are there to to get you open like that? Do I think the answers is there? I’m always optimistic. You know, we always have go into it with a great game plan trying to trying to do certain things and I understand like how the game go. You know, sometimes defense take it away sometimes. Um just hypothetically speaking, uh oh line may slip or fall or something and get pressure. No, that’s part of the game, you know. So specifically specifically with Jaylen, what have your conversations been like uh in the aftermath of the game about some of the opportunities that maybe you guys would connect on? I’m always just trying just to find ways to get better. You know, uh we watching film as a as a unit, as a group, and we just trying to talk about what we can do better in those situations. AJ, how do you score your situation with the fact the team’s seven and two? It’s not it’s not just solely about my situation. I mean, guys, like obviously I want to win too, you know? And I think if we’re if we’re really focusing on winning and doing our job, like we can’t just keep slapping the band-aid over defense doing their job and getting us out of trouble. It’s at what point are we’re going to pick up our slack as an offense that that we’re say we’re so great, you know, and that’s what I’m getting at. It’s not about we’re not winning or I don’t care about winning. All I care about is snack and step. No, it’s been week after week sometimes we’re not contributing. We’re not doing our job on offense. So, you can’t just keep slapping the band-aid over that and you expect to win late later late in the year. You think he going to go to it at the end of the year. It’s not going to happen. I’m sorry. It’s not going to happen. It’s not going to happen. You know, last year what it was, thank you for the ring, but it’s a new season. They adapted. We have to adapt and we have to continue to like get better and try to find new ways. So, that’s that’s where the frustration comes in because it’s not about winning you guys. Like, I want to win. Yes. I want to help contribute as well. Do our thing on offense as well. That’s I think that’s fair. Do you Sorry. Go ahead. Do Do you feel like you’re misunderstood in that and that and that people I don’t care if I’m misunderstood. Like I stand up I stand up in front of it and fall on that short over and over again. Like it’s about doing what we supposed to be doing on offense. And if we are really in this business for trying to get better, we got to do what we got to do and not just say, “Oh, it’s it’s about wins. Like long as we got the win, it’s cool.” No, that that ain’t what No, you cannot do that. Not in this league. We got to continue to get better. We got to do our do what we have to do on offense to help the defense, to help the special teams about the ball coming your way. Um, you said you don’t know why, but there, if you look at the film, look, we don’t know what J’s directive is on every play, but there were obvious examples where you were wide open and the ball wasn’t coming to you. Is that related to whether you’re the first read or is that throwing the ball at you for some reason. I don’t think that’s that’s the case at all. You know, I think uh certain players are have different reads, you know, despite what it looks like when somebody take a screenshot. Um and and you can’t go off that, you know, uh but he has certain reads. He has a lot going on in his head that he’s trying to process. And then also he has uh pressure in his face. So, uh like I said, I don’t know. Maybe there’s a question for him or or or KP anybody. So, last month with the stream to your friend. I did. So hearing from back here. Yeah. So it’s been a very public setting. Why are you comfortable in speaking that way? Did you think about that? Because after the game I said all the right answers. I still made a story. you know, in that in that moment where I’m just talking to my friend, having fun with my friend, I’m not apologizing for that. Like, like I said, because if you have eyes, you can see that. And so, like, it’s not that I was throwing anybody on the bus. I’m literally trying to laugh through this. This is dope. Like, but I’m trying to make fun of the situation and to try to get through it. So, I mean, you know, it is what it is, man. All right. All right. Thanks. Uh, you know, they got great offense, run pass, whatever. So, uh, just, uh, keeping everything in front of eliminating sponsors. They have obviously a deep threat with Jameson. Uh, how how dangerous is he? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, if you’re not playing it right and matching it right, you know, he can get behind the defense, he can stretch out the field. So, uh, yeah, just just playing our defense, uh, playing our technique. What do you see from from G in particular? Uh, very accurate, uh, precise with his decisions and he’s a great quarterback. The moment return the fumble. We see you kind of pick up the football. It’s kind of gone viral a little bit. What were you thinking in that moment? Yeah, just hyped for my teammates, you know, excited that we, you know, got the got the ball and just you all right. Just happy for my teammates. How have you been able to kind of welcome in some of the new faces on this defense? Uh, I mean, yeah, just with open arms. I feel like everybody’s done that. So, we’re brotherhood and we going to uh whoever come in, we’re going to bring them in like brothers. Recent Were you surprised about the news with with Jire? Uh, I mean, yeah. Yeah, I mean he’s a great dude, you know. Uh I always know admire his game. Uh somebody I look up to. Uh you know, uh he got stuff going on. So, uh ran for him, but I already know what’s going on. When you talk about bringing in new guys going on, can you talk about Vicks, the way he brought you up last year towards the end of the beginning of the year to the end, and what he does with the defense throughout the season? Yeah, I feel like he coaches everybody hard. Uh he’s going to put you in right positions to make plays and uh he’s just going to get the best out you. There’s a lot of talk about this offense being explosive, you know, everyone throughout the league. Do you take it as a, you know, a good challenge for you guys to put your number ones against their number ones? Yeah, I think the bet I think the main thing is just fundamentals and details and just being physical. So, yeah. What have you seen from Adori this year? Because he’s kind of been in and out of lineup, but he comes through with a really big game. You know, he gonna battle, he gonna compete every time, you know, uh, another guy who I looked up to, you know, uh, coming throughout college and in the NFL. So, I mean, he’s a great guy.
