So far this season Rangers games are just “literally score one goal challenges”… haven’t lost in regulation in games where they’ve scored more 1 goal 👀

  1. Hmmm…. So scoring goals helps you win? And likewise, not scoring goals will have you lose? Top tier analysis.

  2. The only way a game ends by scoring 1 goal and winning is 1-0. Do you know how many games have been 1-0 this season? THREE. This is a garbage stat.

  3. I mean…what’s the record for other teams when they only score 1 goal? Seems likely it’s a very high proportion of losses as well

  4. That’s the least surprising, most self-explanatory stat I think I’ve ever seen.

  5. Somebody in this thread should make a joke about how the rangers should score more goals.

  6. This seemed pretty insane, then I thought about it more, and now it seems only slightly insane.

  7. 1-0 games are mostly gone. This era of the NHL has brain melting levels of stick and puck control paired with absolutely bonkers trick shots once relegated to college and junior level hockey showing up on big reels. Also the bog standard forward skater has an acceleration and top speed equivalent to that of an Olympic runner.

  8. I saw a stat that NO TEAM has ever won when scoring 0 goals in a game. 🤯

    Crazy, right?

  9. Teach us how to not blow leads haha. Seems like every time we score in the first we are either in OT or L

  10. Who woulda guessed that in a game about scoring you lose when you don’t score much and you win when you score a lot?

  11. And in other news, it’s distinctly wetter outside when it rains a lot instead of just a drizzle.
