The Canucks need to realize that they are the 28th best team in the NHL.

Maybe this is a hard conversation for people in Vancouver to have is you need to realize that you’re the 28th best team in the NHL. Yeah. And if you’re going to throw more stuff at the wall to see what sticks and spend more capital, it’s like is that getting you anywhere like sustainably long-term? That’s the conversation that really needs to be had in Vancouver. what two what happened two years ago was awesome and it felt like you could build off it and last year went completely sideways on you and now you’re you’re waking up today on on November 12th and you’re seeing what’s happening around you where you know Chicago’s played really well and they’re taking a a jump and Anaheim is one of the most exciting teams in the NHL and a lot of the the same characters are still around whether it’s Vegas or LA or Edmonton Um, and Utah’s grabbing a hold of things and you’re like, where does that leave Vancouver? Are they one piece away? Are they a second line center away? No. Are they another penalty killer away? No. But it it’s a it’s a harsh reality and it’s been talked about for over over a decade in Vancouver.

“You need to realize that you are the 28th best team in the NHL…are the #canucks 1 piece away? No. Are they a 2nd line centre away? No.”

  1. It's been so painful to watch. They've been just good enough not to get a top draft pick and just bad enough to miss the playoffs. Maybe this year, they will be bad enough to finally get the 1st pick overall and finally do a rebuild.

  2. Literally nobody in the Vancouver fan base would be against rebuild. WE WELCOME IT. Haven’t done sweet fuck all since 2011 and all the bottom feeders have infinitely better, younger players.

  3. The necessary conversation should be about how do the fans influence ownership to commit to a rebuild or commit to finding a new owner who values the team and the community for more than just a profit & loss statement.

  4. Vancouver media have got to be the most negative, nasty, 💩 disturbers who call themselves fans. Very poor record and turn on a dime. But more wicked than them (if it is possible), is ownership. I wonder if all the team is & has been to aquilini is as a tax write off? It sure seems like you are only toying as an owner by the looks of the record and antics over the years? Now there is talk of a lack of a training facility at the needs of the players, causing injuries and turning other candidates away from playing for Van? Why no facility, after all these years? Not important for the tax dodge? No respect for the players? No respect for the real fans? Or the management? You sure bring in a royal ransom for tickets, n’est-ce pas? I think the media needs to turn their nasty noses on to the owners’ motives and show some respect for the players? What a refreshing change? Something stinks and it does not look like the players & coaches out there hustling every game. And btw, mr. 💩 disturber, don’t forget to consider the quality & treatment of personnel over the years, with the last coach bullying his way in to bide time for his cushy eastern dream coach job? I don’t believe he ever wanted to stay here, that this was just a stop gap? Lots of factors to consider. Every angle, every game and all revolving around ownership, perhaps?

  5. It's a combination of suppression and delusion. Who's the Suppressive? And why the lack of knowledge? (delusion). When fans see it…now we hear talk of owners selling? Players bickering… they're about to lose a generational talent, Hughes, and all the injuries. There's someone not good there.

  6. People are ridiculous. And the media is just as bad if not worse. They don't need a rebuild. They need health. It's a quarter the way through the season for Christ sakes!

  7. Just remember these fun watching team all have 1 or 2 pick player's canucks don't have any luxuries player's like that the only player we have hope for is Hughes and he is probably leaving this team at the end of the season.

  8. The funniest thing is that they have gone a little haft way into rebuilding the entire team….Look at their debt players, they have a lot of young upcoming players that should be playing or is close to becoming a full time nhler player. Francesco Aquilini is standing in the way and is too stubborn to realize that this team is not going anywhere. Quinn Hughes is most likely not going to stay because he wants to win.

  9. this team has been built to maintain mediocrity…nothing more nothing less…the NHL does not want this team to prosper…that's a given watching the refs become the opposition most nights…all the no calls, brutal calls, does this not make you think the league has it out for the knucks?? ..somehow unbelievably the canuck's pull through sometimes against the greatest odds which in my eyes is the real hope… do any of you find it odd that Petey has not found his mojo yet? its inextricably just vanished…gone…where did one of the biggest offensive threats go? theory…I am willing to bet, he was paid not to perform, and if and when he is dealt somewhere else and that mojo returns, well then the proof will be in the pudding..anyone else notice his game dropped as soon as that contract got signed…and don't tell me hes in it for the money..cus we watch his compete level and know he cares…but he never takes it to that next step…is this why he seems depressed, contained, not present? take it or leave it…but its all good, the seats are still filled, 'fans' still buy tickets, merch still being sold to the thousands that enjoy the vibe …true fans are shaking there heads thinking wtf is this? lol…everything that has been done since that playoff run that took us to 7 against the oilers a few seasons ago has been a detriment….not building on that core, dismantling it instead…those who have been paying attention should have come to the question we all have by now…WHY? why bust up a good thing? are you not trying to be a threat? keep a couple guys that give you false hope just enough to make fans think they might have a shot? its tactical…this management was brought in to do exactly what we are witnessing..but the seams are starting to leak, and the band aids are peeling off…and we are just witnesses to the shit show that is this franchise…this may sound out there, conspiratorial, but if you haven't noticed the things i just touched on, good luck!

  10. Because they lacked the nuts to trade away Peterson when he had 1 good year. Everyone who watched hockey new it was an anomaly. Way to squander such an opportunity. You have the best Dman in the league and an amazing bottom six, you have a good quality D core. But you have the worst top 6 in the league by a mile. Rebuild shoulda started last year
