  1. I’ve said this a handful of times already, but Justin Herbert with an average offensive line and this current defense is the best QB in the league.

  2. This is dope. But he won’t win it, because we aren’t a top 2 seed. It’s just an unwritten, bullshit, rule

  3. I genuinely don’t know why Herbert gets so much hate. He’s stiff arming d-linemen while running around in a collapsed pocket and still throwing dimes!

  4. I’ve always hated this narrative of Herbo being called the “if man” when all the man knows how to do is be phenomenal.

  5. Any other QB have 2 mvp type epic plays to win a game (broncos and dolphins)?

Add in the chiefs slide to seal a game and thats not bad.

  6. We all know he’s a top 5 QB. He’s had terrible lines and bad D most of his career. This team would be a bottom feeder without him.

I truely think if you put any QB in the league through what he’s had to do he’d be among the top 3 QBs in this position

  7. It’s a damn shame these MVP voters don’t include Justin’s hunk factor into their equation. Surely he’d be MVP in their minds.

  8. We just need to win the division. Herbert will instantly move to the top of the MVP discussion.

I am not saying I agree with how the league handles MVP criteria, but its apparent (even with Joe Burrow last year), that winning the division criteria #1.

This is why Drake Maye is in the discussion, imo. If the Pats were 2nd place, instantly the narrative would change to “well his best stats are against the Browns, Panthers, Saints, Titans.” The strength of schedule would be a major factor. The Pats are us last year in the sense they can’t consistently beat winning record teams (outside the Bills game) and a disproportionate # of bad teams in their schedule.

  9. I said it before the game on Sunday to my friend when we were grabbing our seats. Herbert is the best QB in the NFL today and it’s because of this fact. He is able to generate an insane amount of offense with really not a lot of resources.
