[Charania] Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry and Under Armour have parted ways, ending their longstanding partnership. Curry's standalone endeavor Curry Brand will move forward independently.

Curry's shoes through Under Armour will continue as planned through 2026, but he and his company Curry Brand are entering sneaker free agency.

  1. Did Under Armour accidentally hire Nico Harrison and tell him to give a presentation to Steph?

  2. Considering UA has dropped the ball a ton on Steph’s promotions at times this isn’t a shocker

  3. One of the few athletes who can leave a major brand and maintain, if not possibly improve, their brand. Interested to see what happens next for the Curry brand.

  4. Didn’t he just sign a long term deal with them a couple years ago? Seems like something is going down with Under Armour and they’re letting their most popular athlete get ahead of things.

  5. Don’t look now but I heard Steve Ballmer just started a company called “Inspiration” to help get Curry to sign with the Clippers. Their slogan?

“Look at Curry, man. So inspirational.”

  6. Just a reminder that the Curry 2 shoes were top 3 in sneaker sales to kids and then UA completely fumbled the bag with how they promoted the shoes and the Curry 3s that were ugly as shit

  7. Under Armor has been in crisis for years, I’m surprised that they stayed with Steph for so long. People like to talk about the downfall of Nico Harrison’s ex employer, Nike’s, but under armor is truly a dying brand under inept leadership.

  8. Bout fucking time, not sure how any CEO at UA can keep their jobs after consistently dropping the ball, pun intended, on marketing a generational talent with little to no baggage.

Still annoyed Night Night wasn’t plastered everywhere after his finals run and the Olympics

  9. UA feels like it’s made a pivot (knowingly or unknowingly) in recent years to being more and more right-wing coded and they lean super heavily into a lot of camo designs and the like.

Don’t think the same audience of people watching the NBA are people buying UA stuff.

  10. Yeah I feel like New Balance somehow managed to market Kawhi more than Underarmour marketed Steph

  11. This made me realize once again that Nico was the one who screwed up Steph going to Nike
