Michael Penix put the Falcons on BLAST!!!

Man, man, man. This Mike Penn situation Atlanta is getting ugly and ugly by the day. If you listen to this press conference, this quick clip, uh, he said some things that are pretty concerning to me, but after y’all watch this clip, I’ll give my thoughts and, uh, we can roll after that. Take a look. I know you lean on your faith, but like, who do you lean on to like help you? like we haven’t played quarterbacks. Would you lean on like a former quarterback or your coaches to kind of just help you kind of assess things and good and bad? Um, you saying like as far as on the field? Yeah, both. Would that help you mentally and physically? Oh, um, [Music] no. Like mentally I like my fiance, she’s always there for me. Um, so I know whenever I get home, it doesn’t matter how I played, she’s always going to be there for me. she’s going to have a smile on her face and give me a hug and and make me feel h feel good no matter what. Um but as far as you know, as far as like physically the on the field stuff, um it’s it’s not nobody that I’ll talk to like as far as another quarterback or anything like that. You know, I do have people reach out to me. I I do have quarterback coaches though back at home um that that reach out to me as well, you know, tell me, “Hey, like you need to clean this up, clean that up, you know, and everything will be good.” So, uh, those those guys helped me as far as that, too. So, I can shout out them. Well, there you heard it, man. You heard it from the man himself. He asked about who he can rely on. Um, and maybe I’m taking it the wrong way or reading into it wrong. And, you know, he going to talk to his fiance anyway because that’s his biggest support system. But when you say you have to talk to old coaches, guys you’ve coached before and they’re telling you what to do and what to fix, that’s a problem with our coaching with the Atlanta Falcons. He should have never came out and had to say that he has to rely on people that was in his past. This is what your coaches are for. When Raheem Morris told us he put 10 to 12, I think somewhere in that range of numbers on people that have worked with quarterbacks before that could help develop him. And I said this on the preview show, the Panthers preview show. If you have that many coaches on your staff that can’t help that kid get along, I’m sorry, grow along and develop, why the hell did you draft him? because the scout report said that he had accuracy issues across the middle of the field and you know timing issues, mechanics and now we see with the footwork. So if he has to rely on outside help and not get inside help, how is he going to succeed? How is he going to develop? How is he going to become an NFL quarterback, a successful NFL quarterback, uh to say the least? But this is what’s wrong with this coaching staff right now. I mean, they’re failing in the film room. They’re failing with scheming. And don’t get me wrong, players have to still execute whatever game plan they come up with and whatever they draw up. But at the same time, if you’re not on the same page, guess what? It’s not going anywhere. And we see him on sideline time again. Not with Zach Robinson, but with DJ Williams, the damn quarterback coach. That’s a bad sign that the communication is not there. And you see the miscommunication each and every Sunday. It go all the way back to week two in Minnesota when he put his hands on his head like this and try to listen to the call. He was frustrated having to call timeout that’s been going on since then. And the frustration and just mounting and mounting and mounting and it’s rearing his ugly head right now. So Raheem Morris, get a grip on this team, man. You’ve been blessed and privile privileged to be an NFL coach. Act like one. Stick your foot in their butt, man, and make them do their damn job. You talking about y’all got a good group of guys, coaches. Let us see it. Stop selling us dreams and selling us car. Start selling us wins cuz that’s what we need. But look, I don’t think this gets no better, man. Cuz if he’s saying that about getting outside help instead of getting it right there in the facility in the film room from his coaches, that’s a problem, man. But y’all know what to do, man. SMITTY RAHEEM MORRIS NEED TO BE LOOKING AT HIS NEXT MOVE BECAUSE HE IS NOT CUT OUT TO BE A HEAD FOOTBALL COACH FACTS, AT BEST HE IS A COORDINATOR IN THIS LEAGUE IN THIS ORGANIZATION BETTER FIGURE THIS OUT IN A QUICK FAST IN A HERIE. THEY NEED TO RELEASE RAHEEM MORRIS TODAY NOT TOMORROW HE IS WHAT HE IS A TALKER.

  5. I think Phoenix is not listening to the coach coaches. I find it hard to believe that all the other players on offense have a guy or a position coach or something to listen to, but he is having a problem listening to the guys in the building I mean, just like you said Smitty in the video DJ Williams his personal quarterback coach like Kirk had his own personal quarterback coach. You need to tell me that your guy who’s working with you in practice I’m telling you did he say your footwork is back. I think Michael Penn might just be the problem with the Falcons.

WASSUP BRUTHA SMITTY I JUS SAW THIS VIDEO AND IT IS A SHAME TO HEAR THE QB VOICE HIS FEELINGS ABOUT HIS COACHING STAFF ON DEVELOP HIM… THIS IS ONLY GOING TO TURN THIS TEAM UPSIDE DOWN AND INSIDE OUT THERE WILL BE NO TEAM TOGETHERNESS NOT TO MENTION A DIVISION IN THE ORGANIZATION… NEED NEW COACHING STAFF

  10. I hear the comments, but I'm not buying Penix's answer. It's like parents that are doing the best they can for a child, but when the child had struggles or failures, an immature child will throw his parents under the bus.

    As a professional, he needs to learn how to seek out help too. That's his responsibility if he's not grasping concepts, but there is some blame for the organization also.

    But don't take the propaganda and just run with it. His answer bothered me because now you're stirring up stuff when you could've been a professional and gave a professional answer.

  12. And they draft these guys entirely too high and in the 1st round at that. Mike needs good coaching and time to develop. That said, we need an experienced bridge QB not named Cousins. Russell Wilson might do better.

  13. Penix is being honest ❗️Coach Raheem Morris is a great coach , but coaching is failing Penix & the team. The falcons have talent but if they can’t get the help from inside the building & has to go outside the building . That’s a problem that shouldn’t be glossed over.

Smitty I’m glad you did a video on this .. man this just proves even more what we all been thinking & this coaching staff is piss poor just pathetic.. this is blowing up all over social media .. this will be the finally nail in the coffin for Zac in my opinion once blanket or whom ever finds out about this if they don’t know already

  15. You are absolutely taking it the wrong way…we have 3 former QBs and a veteran QB in the building DJ Shockley and Dave Archer are close to the building…get out of your feelings and think logically all players talk to former coaches this not anything new…Penix has to play better simple

  23. I totally agree that the coaches are failing him and it is sad that he has to rely on his previous coaches as well. Penix has to also get better cause he will need to get right past this year or the pressure will be heavier on him later on.

  24. I been trying to tell this when they hire Raheem Morris he's not a head coach look at Josh McDaniel he had a head coaching job twice could not handle it coaching job is not for everyone everyone everyone
