I trust this guy with my whole entire heart. I think hes got his finger on the pulse of what needs to happen this season and has made every right move to make it happen.

We have a divisional game, against a team we should have beat earlier, and a defense/coordinator he has a plethora of experience scheming against. The campbell/lions way is go hard all 60 minutes, and i think Ben is going to be ready for this game BECAUSE of the challenge he knows its going to be.

I think we blow the vikings out of the water this weekend. Maybe I’m optimistic, but they are not a great team and i know he wants week 1 back. 4 quarters of belt to ass in their stadium and setting the tone to go make a push for the playoffs. He wants it more than ANY of us do, and hes gonna get it.

  1. The Vikings have been a tough matchup for the bears in recent years. I’m cautiously optimistic the bears win though.

  2. Vegas is scary accurate with their lines. Doesn’t mean we are doomed but there’s a lot of analytics that goes into the line.

  3. Let’s pump the brakes on calling blowouts… we all whiffed on the Bears blowing out the Giants.
Still, I’m totally with you, OP—feeling pretty damn confident we beat the Vikings.

  4. You’re right in that they are not a great team

    Unfortunately neither are we

Their defense is pretty legit. Our offense has looked good at times but has been inconsistent

Their offense isn’t great with JJ leading them.. but unfortunately they don’t have to be. Our defense hasn’t shown that they can reliably stop any offense, unless they shoot themselves in the foot

So I’d say Minnesota being favorite sounds normal. I have it the same way

We haven’t beaten any good team yet and despite Minny being up and down throughout the season, they’d easily be the best team we’ve beaten if we get it done

We should be the underdog here

  5. Can’t blame them. We’ve been winning games against bad teams, but it’s taken us game winning drives to do so. Our offense hasn’t looked like a juggernaut, even though we’ve been playing bad defenses. And our defense has been battered and injured and will be for the foreseeable future. I think it’s a coin flip game, could go either way. And other than JJ, the vikings have a good roster. They also came back and beat us at home when we were healthier and that’s the best JJ has looked.

  6. Bears defense is still horrid and the Vikings have good weapons. Plus the Vikings have a solid defense. Bears can easily lose this game. They had to have Dart get injured to win last week to the giants who have a worse defense and worse weapons

  7. Game will likely be much closer than it should be. Still think the bears win, but Minn will end up making it interesting

  8. Look at the recent games…Bears needed last minute heroics to beat Bengals, Giants and lost comfortably against a Tyler Huntley led Ravens. Vikings defeated Lions in Detroit and lost in a one score game vs Ravens with Lamar as QB. Vegas doesn’t randomly set these lines

  9. It used to be that the home team got 3 points to start, then other factors were taken into account. I think that’s changed to 2.5. Basically, bettors are thinking this is an even matchup.

  10. I’d give us a good shot at being within 10 near the end of the game. I’m not confident we win but I’m quite confident taking the bears at +3.5 because Caleb will get us at least one TD if they can keep it close

  11. Flores is a blitz mastermind and hes going to be blitzing out of the gate. I say you trot out 13 personal and run right at them.

  12. I’ve been a Bears fan for 25 years.

We should still not be expecting to win any games. If the Bears have 2 good seasons in a row and there’s high optimism going into that third season, then maybe I’ll start assuming we’re gonna win certain games.

  13. They are basically saying the Vikings defense is better than the Bears offense by more than the Vikings offense is worse than the Bears defense.

  14. I don’t care how ‘scary accurate’ Vegas is because I don’t bet on games, but if I *did*? I’d be betting on this one for the Bears to come out on top in convincing fashion. I believe the Bears are hitting the Vikings at the perfect time, and by perfect I mean that team is going to continue their death spiral after this one is over. Go Bears.

  15. I actually see it yeah after what happened the first game. I mean we make NY and Cincinati look good so if we are not careful Viking might blow us out.

  16. Alright but 5/6 of our wins have been nail biters and none of the opponents have been good teams. The Vikings, with bum ass JJ Midcarthy, beat us on our home field two months ago. I would love a big win but let’s pump the brakes on acting like we’re being disrespected

  17. I am absolutely betting a lot on the Bears to cover!

Points that is, in a friend’s pick’em league

  18. For what it’s worth, ESPN analytics has this as a coin-flip, 49.6% Bears versus 50.1% Vikings to win. The moneyline (+140) gives the Vikings an implied win probability of 60%, so there’s some discrepancy there. If you’re a sharp bettor there’s some baked-in value there. Williams and the run game have both shown big improvement since week 1, and the Vikings are below average against the run.

  19. Hopefully it fuels our boys.

I can see us winning. I can see us losing. I wont mind a loss (I GUESS) if our team plays well and we lose in the final minutes..

  20. 3 points is right. Don’t forget it’s not a prediction…..it’s simply a number to get equal money bet on both ends.

  21. At this point, Chicago’s not a guaranteed win over anyone, man. I’d bet on the Bears but wouldn’t be at all surprised if they lost.  Things are looking up for the first time in a long time but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

  22. I mean, I like it…but trusting a man with your heart and your pay check are two very different things.

  23. Seeing the comments on this thread is wild, vikings fan here and funny enough a lot of us are not feeling condifent either. Could be anybody game… good luck on Sunday fellas.

  24. Fully expecting a loss. This sub is delusional. Jefferson and co will torch our secondary, we have no pass rush so “9” will have time to throw all game lmao. Their defense is no joke and cooked up the lions in detroit and us when we played them. We barely scraped by against the raiders, saints, bengals, and giants.

The path to victory is still there tho, if the boys generate turnovers and it’s close towards the end 18 will carry.

  25. I like this team, I would love to win. we haven’t belt to ass anyone besides the cowboys. It sure as shit aint happening on the road against Minnesota.

I bet we’ll be down majority of game. Hopefully we can make a couple plays to sneak out a win

  26. They made Goff and the Lions look silly and they trounced us, and that was before half our top defensive guys were injured. I’m not super confident just yet. We have to prove it in games like this, not just against the Bengals or the Giants.

  27. This line basically means that the Vikings and the Bears are even. You get 2.5-3 points for being at home. I think it’s a fair line. The Bears haven’t beaten average teams and they lost last time they played the Vikings.

You can’t expect the world to respect you when you haven’t done anything. You go out there and take these games. Bears have a great opportunity to prove they are a different team this year. This is a must win game if the goal is to make the playoffs. I think we’re ready to prove it.
