Blackhawks vs. Devils Game Highlights | 11.12.25

New Jersey Devils team three wins in their last five games. Not too shabby. Luke Hughes getting a ton of ice. Yeah, coming up their first home loss of the season. The Devils starting a long road trip here today. Jumps away from Hughes. Pops out of the corner and the Blackhawks look for a way out. Davo Terrain carries it up ice, slips it across. He has MVM on the backhand save. Markstrom got his own rebound. Mm tried to jam it back on goal. Marstrom was ready. It’s a nice rush by MCAV, but he almost had a little more space to even take it and drive it towards the net. Alex Blic down the boards. Oliver Moore, the rookie, exchanging with Bedard. Across it goes Louis Kier through traffic. Save Markstrom and and playing the right way for not just the short term, but for the long term. Flash coached the Red Wings for several years. Off the draw shot gets the goal. Knight the save picked up and carried out by Bratz. He’s sure checked hard by Felino. Laid ahead on left wing. Here’s Brat with a step saved by Knights. Jesper Brat. A burst of speed and Knight held his ground. Is that fast? Unbelievable stride. And that’s where we talked about the McKay player play earlier for the Blackhawks. He didn’t cut inside. Well, Brat that time he gets the inside edge and then drives to the middle and then a nice fake shot. takes it across. Mercer tosses one from the perimeter. Knight makes the save. One-time Seaganthaler. He breaks his stick. Decision making is so good. Ritzuk over the line with Hughes. Circles back. Blue line pulls the trigger. Knight saw that the whole way. Sharp angle bid by Dylan. Blocked to the corner. Here’s Jonah Seanthol. And that’s one player Alex that Sheldon Kee told us they they really miss him Brown in terms of the energy he creates, the pressure on the forche. And that’s something you wanted to see more of some of this possession down low. Shot from the perimeter. Patted down by Knight. Out of the corner, it’s glass centering and a shot whistles wide from Mason. Play. They’re going to look to get the puck through Connor Bedard as he comes through the neutral zone. Bad turns it over up the middle. It’s Pratt into the zone. He has Heir with him. A pass attempt broken up and then Heir spun it to go. Knight with a pass save coming off a year where their power play was the best in decades and a pharmaceuticals power play. Donado shot blocker save Marstrom and the puck reaches the netting. There’s Donado playing it back to the point Sam Renzel the rookie and across from the circle a shot that Marstrom sees the whole way. Colorado last night and getting to see Leo Carlson up close and he is a beast. Now these young guys will take over right now. Carried the other carried the other way by Mercer running the most resistance short-handed there. But even you think about Mlin Celebr, you know, they’re messaging each other, chatting with each other, also encouraging each other. I think that’s a good little rivalry. Both of them competing for spots on an Olympic roster and and really putting on a show for everyone. Bouncing puck, neutral zone. Stand up at the line. Entry, no problem for Ma. And it’s swallowed up by Markstrom for a whistle. Choosy. That’s probably a third look he’s had. Right in tight right above the crease. Renzel’s a smooth skater, too. He had a little elusive breakout from behind the net. Look at him here. A rookie from the University of Minnesota. Played a couple of seasons there. One of nine players aged 22 or younger on the Blackhawks active roster. Seenthaller from the perimeter. It bounces Jack Parker, Joe Thornton, Zado, and of course Duncan Keith. I think that there were the most Blackhawks there of all players to support Keith Leov to start things up here. Got a nice little clean faceoff win by Bedard to start it off to the circle. Bedard. What an opportunity. Here is Bedard juking to the outside in over the line. Sneaks a pass. Lev moving in. Snaps one off the post. Bedard to pick it up across the seam. Green and Marstrom flexes that away. Up the far boards. Bedard slows it down. Keeps it in. Shoots. Shoots. Looking for Bertusi. And Mark made the save. Bedard for Green across. Oh, what a save by Marstrom on Terra Biden. Now Bertusi for Bard across holding Terrain. Bard scores. Goals in four in a row for Conor Mard and he breaks the ice in Chicago tonight. that star power that he has. He’s come into his own in this league. By the way, Zack Mchuan did not return. You know, the Devils want to possess the puck, but the Hawks on top of it doing a fairly good job in their own end. Tell you what, Kobe, they they’ve been locked down as this long shot is patted down by Knight in a lot of games to begin. Christian saw that puck coming through. He did with the legs and just kind of little chip shot reaction. Intercept from Bertusi and he shoots from behind the blue line. Markstrom having to be alert to that. 13th most in franchise history. He continues to climb the franchise leaderboard at just 24 years of age off the draw. Devils get the takeaway and Hughes with a pretty good looking chance. Rock solid. Like this is the kind of game that just frustrates you if you’re the Devils. Right up tight. They’ve got numbers. There’s another turnover. It’s more to bring it up ice. He has Vertusi with him. Vertusi with a stop and Marstrom got there. Kaiser left that for nobody. Rick lingering. Hughes in the corner with room. Hughes around. Kaiser draws a penalty. Staring pass and it’s off the post. Bertusi will touch up but the Devils will have a man advantage. Trying to make sure they set up the right play. But this has been a good power play. The New Jersey Devils this season, sixth best in the NHL. There is Luke Hughes snapping one off of Spencer Knights who was able to dart through a screen and pick up the puck. Heir tight turn out of the corner. Opens up, feeds Meyer up top. Luke Hughes at the point for Jack at the bottom of the circle centering pass and Knight got in the way. Finally back out to center, but here comes Gritz. get to the attacking zone. Save by Knight. He covers and it’s a quick whistle for a faceoff. Keeping an eye on these guys pretty tight tonight. Yeah, you have to you got to check them tight. They’re they they got game breakers on their team. Jack Hugh’s one of the best players in the league. Off the draw kick save by Knights off the sharp angle bid. Dylan absorbs a hit. Well, Felino right taking care of Bard. So you think about Bard and Bard’s habits and and playing style. Here’s a stretch pass. Hughes in on side. Hughes stopped by Knights. Biggest save of the game for Spencer Knights. Up and down we go. Stretch pass to Heir. He has a save. Save Knights. Aggressively out of the edge of the crease. Off the draw. It’s Luke Hughes. Deing to the backand save by Knight. Rebound cleared out. Now there’s Hughes this way opening up steering one to the points. Dennis Choluski feeds it down low. Sharp angle bid is seen the whole way by Knight carried out by Bertusi. Richie on the back check caught up to Berusi denying an easy entry. On the punt and the Blackhawks get a take away. Tuck nearly able to settle this down with Laferty and Renzel combining to get the steal. Owen set it across. Flash was talking about these players, right? Not being too hesitant. He’s sure looking to put that one through a couple of bodies. Certainly a month we’re thinking a lot about folks who are battling cancer. Just over a minute to go. Turnover. Bratz. And again, Spencer Knights is there for the answer. 28 seconds. Popped out of the corner. Seanthaler hands it off. Meyer plays it across. Nemits locates. Heir and Heir gains the Chicago line. Draw pass. Nemits on the rush on the back hand. He scores. Simone Nemits with the Devils in transition. pops one on the back hand and ties the game at one late in the second period. Chicago’s been terrific in the third period. Plus 14 cold differential. He loves sort of fake wide and then cut across the middle to look for his angles. Devils right back in. A standing save by Knight. Dylan takes a peek over his shoulder. He has Slagger flying the body check. Loose puck. Slagger to the back and a one-time wide from Creier. Blic on the pitch. Around it goes. Previer rotates it back to Blic this way. Blic centers. Big defensive play by Hughes to lock sticks up with Sam Laferty. Still the Blackhawks maintain possession. Shot score. Slagger tips it home. And I don’t know if any of those shots would have hit the net, but he’s just shooting for traffic and he’s shooting at bodies through there. White feeds it down low. Meyer all the way across. Cholowski moves in with room. Knight has the puck trapped underneath him and he’ll get the whistle lifted out of the zone. Drain will pick it up. It’s a twoon one for Chicago and Marstrom having to come up with the goods. Good work by Blic to get back after the angle up high. White looking for a stick. Knight came out the challenge. Good reads and jump to close. It’s been impressive here really all night. Redick fires. Saved by Knight. Got his own rebound. Play to the cross. Here’s Jack Hughes across. Score. Dawson Mercer has tied the game for New Jersey. We built up this matchup. Centering pass. He sure off the outside of the goal. Put back on. Quick shot in tight by Meyer. We talked about his dads before playing physical. Just those little things that Lasha wants to see from his team. Led out by Felino. Here come the Blackhawks. Loperty to the outside. Sam Lry as good as it gets and Marstrom is hurt on the play. So that last play, Alex, is exactly what Blio lost. If you see Bard on the for check, he was angling. Get the turnover on the boards. Then a shot on net. Donado tied up at the side of the cage by Seanthaler and the Devils will find a way out. Hughes makes a move on Bard at center. Hughes pulls up waiting for support. Jack Hughes locates a man on the outside and the Devils score to tie the game with 346 to go. A beautiful passing play. And guess who? Simone Nemits involved once again. Another clutch goal. Stephan Nason finding him on the transition play to tie the game. Markstrom to move it. Seanthaler lifts it back out. Bouncing puck. Grizzlick is on it. Brack with the takeaway. Plays it across. Meer a one-time that would not have counted. Knight makes the save. Anyway, take a look at the odds from DraftKings sports book. At the top of the picture, Bard Moore, Lev Shinov, the unit for Chicago. Leoving on goal. Put it wide off a stick. It’s Hughes for Mercer at the net, but he digs. He’s stopped by Knights. Picking up steam. Here’s Teemo Meer flying into the zone. Meyer shoots in tight. Knight with the save. Opens on his back. Leaves it for Luke Hughes. Starts to the outside. Drives in and Knight is there once again. Left pod, right? Spencer Knight has been exceptional. Markstrom stretch pass. He has Chicago caught. Nemits for a hat trick and the overtime winner, Simone Nimttz. An alltime performance. He singlehandedly brings the Devils back and wins it in overtime.

  1. I'm finding these game recaps to be pretty lousy. Why are we listening to the devils announcers? And why are there few if any replays on the goals? And then when they do show replays, most of the time the replays are muted. We can't listen to the analyst describe what we're watching on the replays from different angles. Whoever puts these together really needs to do better.

  2. My advice for the Chicago Blackhawks and Connor badard keep focus on the game and teamwork make the dream works and keep practice more and win the game. Please keep me proud.

  3. My advice for Connor badard keep focus on the game try to do better and that will be my advice for you and the ones thing keep keep practice more and pass to your teammates

  4. The Hawks defense need a lot of work..Knight is AWESOME but the Devils shouldve won this in regulation because they really outplayed the Hawks on the offensive end.

I thin the Hawks are good upcoming team but that defense is not good enough to make noise in the playoffs

    FVA/B1
