New York Islanders at Vegas Golden Knights | FULL Overtime Highlights – November 13, 2025

Golden Knights have had their issues in overtime. 1 and4 beyond regulation, including 1 and three in the OT session. Riley Smith had the overtime winner in San Jose. The Islanders, as you see, 1-2, including 1 and0 in the overtime. And just in their last game, Matt Barzell won it in New Jersey on Monday. Each team with a point already in the bank. Golden started out outing Marner and Theodore out against Dynaman Horvat and Schaer. Theodore up by a shot off a goal post. Oh, Shay Theodore almost won it right off the bat at OT. Now Mner looking out high dropping it off for Howen. Leaves it for Mner again and he’ll retreat to neutral ice. [Applause] Marner starting it out now. Couple of fresh bodies hop on with Eel and Hannah. Eichel driving wide on Hine. He’ll take it all the way around. Martner wants to get a change and Barbashev hops on for him. [Music] [Applause] And here he comes. Dropping it off for Reichel. He pass went over the stick of Hannah. Drew carries it in. Cuts to the middle and Drewan pressured by Barbers. Now Barcel will reload for New York. Tied the game with 237 to go. Driving towards the net. Smid. Puck is loose in the no whistle yet. And to the corner it goes to Barbershell. with a mad scramble in front of Schmidt and a power move to the net by Barzel. Wow. Lucky there for the Golden Knights and a Pimadora Fia crisscrossing and he’ll drop it back to Michael going to head off for a change. We had Theodore has the puck now hitting a post right off the bat. And then Barzel jamming the net at the other end for the Islanders trying to win it. Hurdle and D’Angelo. Hurdle rolling out high. Watched by D’Angelo trying to find a little bit of daylight. Leaving it for Theodore. Theodor cutting out in front. Seroken dribbled off the crossbar from Hurdle. And the puck cleared up ahead of Horvath. He’s got a chance to win it and a save and Theodore starting it back the other way. Hurdle with Gorilla. Looks like too many a penalty here. Too many men out high. Hannah looking his shot blocked. Gorilla a chance. What a save. Sroen during a delayed penalty here on the Islanders. Michael Holds walking in a shot and Siroken snatches it with a glove. They want a little bit of entertainment. We’ve had it and yeah, the Islanders jumped way too early. That’s going to be the too many men call. But how about Theodore Initi? New York Islanders bench. Little move off the far post. Great little rush by number 27 up the ice. And here’s how close. Watch Barbers going to save this goal. going to catch his skate right there is skate keeps it from going across the goal line and then Theodore another rush to the net. Huge save by Sroken Hurdle with the followup off the crossbar. Well, had a little bit of everything. Then a huge save by Schmidt as Horvat came in all alone. Well, Patrick Wong wasn’t happy. He was in the front of their bench, but the second bench minor on that tonight. Actually third if you think about it. Two too many men. And then the failed challenge. Well, you look at that play, they took away what would have been a clear-cut oddman rush. It was a clear jump with four men on the ice as Hurdle was bringing it up. [Music] Well, Golden Knights, they’ve been 0 for four. Here’s their fifth power play. Big one here in overtime. Fourth time the Golden Knights have had at least five power plays in a game. All here at T-Mobile. The Islanders are control skating it up ice. Rash score. Oh, that beat. Somehow it’s a short-handed overtime gamewinner for JG Pio. It’s all the way from the draw. actually win the draw, but it’s Pole that’s going to jump everybody as Schmid gets beat. An individual effort and a heartbreaking one here for the Golden Knights who did well everything right but win. And it’s little details of the game sometimes that’ll bite you. Watch there’s the draw. It’s right there. Everybody jumps the wrong way. Pio pushes it up. It’s one-on-one with Martner. comes out and the shot from the top of the circles beats Schmid. That’s just, you know, in this type of game, Schmid’s been so good. And I’m sure that’s one tough to take at this point. A short-handed goal ends it as the Islanders. JG Pou with a great individual effort off kind of a broken play draw where you have the extra attacker. You want to get possession, they don’t. And the Islanders find a way to pull this one out. Their third straight now on this road trip. [Music]

  1. Knights find a way to blow the game again. Marner could had at least made an attempt to try to stop the Islanders player from scoring the last goal instead of just skating next to him and letting him shoot the puck into the net. Schmid was not particularly sharp tonight either.
