But, let’s get to this one. between Orlando and Brooklyn and Orlando coming into this one in this sorry I should mention this is NBA Cup action in the group play so far Orlando 1 and0 they knocked off the um they knocked off the Boston Celtics 123 110 while the Brooklyn Nets fell 125 107 to Detroit and now you’ve got Brooklyn coming into this one just overall this season just flat out struggling I think that’s just sort of the the nice way to describe it because this team has just been an absolute disaster for much of the season with a 1-10 record, 3-8 against the number, while Orlando 6-6, 5-7 against the number. Orlando knocked off New York last time out. In New York, the first team to do so this season, both straight up and against the spread and did it almost wire to wire. It was 124 107 at the end of it while Brooklyn lost to Toronto by double digits. Another double- digit loss for the Brooklyn Nets. Five straight losses by double digits for the Nets. They do have a win over the Pacers sandwiched in the middle there to, you know, break up the monotony, but still just a not a good look for this Brooklyn team that just doesn’t look like they have it this season. And, you know, you look at the injury report coming into this game. At a certain point, I’m not even sure it matters for the Brooklyn Nets who have just been so so bad this season, but you’re still missing Cam Thomas. You know, Don Sharp is listed as probable and uh you’re still missing Haywood Highmith who’s still dealing with that the recovering from surgery. So there’s just not a whole lot here to be excited about with the Brooklyn Nets. Now Paulo Bancero is out for Orlando. It looks like Mo Vagner is out. Is he still dealing with his knee knee recovery? And Fran Vagner’s available. We’ll have to see if that means he plays or not. But with that being said, I still think this is a Magic team that can play some solid defense regardless of, you know, what they’ve done this season in terms of wins and losses. You look at their last six g, sorry, last seven games. This is a team that’s allowed 110 points or less in four of those seven and I just don’t trust Brooklyn offensively right now. It just seems like getting to 110 points is a bit of a chore for the Brooklyn Nets more than anything else. But I also don’t know how much I love Orlando’s offense without Paulo Bancero. Um, so for me in this one, I’m rolling with the under. I just I don’t want to lay 15 points even in the NBA Cup where I’m a little bit more inclined to take bigger favorites because point differential in this early portion of the tournament does matter. But this, like I said, this for me just feels like a lot 14 and a half. But I also don’t know if I could trust Brooklyn to cover that because like I said, we’ve seen Brooklyn get their teeth kicked in a lot this season already through 11 games. So I’d rather take the under here. Just bank on not that not a whole lot of offense here. It’s going to be the under between the Magic and the Nets and that’s going to be my free pick.
