I went and tried out for the summer league team of the Miami Heat and made the team. Yeah, I played for the and I made it. There’s like 22 guys there, 23 guys and they kept 12 of us. Made the team. Played with Pat Riley was the head coach for a while and then Stan Van Gunder was was one of the assistant coaches at the time. My first game I had 11 rebounds. I was one for seven though. I was one for seven. Shoot it. Well, that’s what I said. I said I can go play defense, get rebound like we said too. I’ll probably make the same amount of money playing just coming off the bench and make the same amount of money I would playing tight end for what they wanted to pay me. I did it because I wanted to see if I could do it and I truly thought I could do it anyway. I I I hurt my ankle in one of the games and the next game Stan Van Gunday I was playing a little bit and hurt my ankle. I had I think I had like five rebounds. I’m off to I’m going to get another 10 rebound game. Hurt my ankle. I go to the bench and then I’m feeling I’m like okay I can go back in and I’m looking at the coach and I’ve messed with I’ve talked to coach Van Gundy since the and uh he won’t put me back in. And I’m like, “Okay, well, we go back to practice. Next day, next day we play another game. We actually fly out to the pyramid here in Long Beach and the whole they won’t put me in again.” After the game, I go up to to stand and I’m like, “What’s what? What’s going on?” I’m playing. I’m getting your rebounds. I’m playing get my guy. Nobody’s scoring on. They didn’t got the call. They got a call. You better sit that we got a contract written on and I signed my deal.
