A Season to Remember: Cal Raleigh is the MVP in Our Books

These are the moments that you go to a ballpark to see, could he possibly cap it all off to hit 60 while the entire crowd is chanting MVP? The answer is yes. Right field number 60, your MVP. He’s chomping at the bit for the season to start. He wants to get back in there and start playing. What Cal Raleigh has always done well is two things. Hit home runs and be a leader. The Mariners just signed Cal Raleigh to a six-year contract extension. I’m very grateful that these guys here at the table have given me this responsibility to come here and want me to lead this team and want me to be the guy that helped this team get to the playoffs and won a World Series. Cal Raleigh with his first home run of the season. He is the second fastest Mariner to the 100 home run. What he’s become is a force, a monster, a guy you cannot pitch to from either side. The best first half a catcher has ever had. It’s the work he puts into it. It’s the dirty work, the little things, the basic things that you have to do every single day to be really good at what you do. Catcher is the most demanding position in baseball and Cal Raleigh has played the most games in the big leagues and has the most played appearances by a catcher by 25. Shouldn’t he get a breather? He doesn’t want one. What if he hits six each and they get hot and win the ALS? Guy is a great Mickey 54th. He has passed Griffy Jr. Best season by a catcher in league history. The MVP is not wrong. He He’s the MVP of the league if you ask me. right field. Number 16, a catcher has hit 60 home runs. It has never been done until Cal Riley.

Cal Raleigh delivered a season baseball will never forget.

  1. So sad to see how the voters did not consider this historic run MVP worthy. It make me sick to think history being made. Such a scam and a shitty time in the sport.

  2. Cal Raleigh's historical year was unbelievable and unforgetable to watch and listen to. So grateful that he plays for Seattle and that we can watch his career for years to come. MVP or no MVP we know how valuable he is. We definitely know. No doubt about it.

  3. Robbed of MVP Judge donโ€™t play catcher and Cal beat him in hone runs that actually affected the game aka High Leverage home runs. You canโ€™t really win MVP if half the country are Yankee Fans

  4. Dodgers fan here; Big Dumper is the true MVP in my books; more deserved than Judge! From his catching ability, his Home Runs, and most importantly his leadership and impact on the field!

  5. All RISE! For the TRUE and ONLY 2025 American League Regular Season MVP! The Judge, Aaaaaaron JUDGE!! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

  6. I love Cal. I love the Mariners more than life itself. But Judge was the right call I mean an MVP winner that didnโ€™t even hit .250?? That canโ€™t be man. Cal had the greatest catching season of all time and had some seriously magical moments but Judge deserved MVP and we canโ€™t be mad about that. If Judge had won unanimously or blown Cal out, then Iโ€™d be pissed but 17-13 is about right. Sometimes you just gotta tip your cap to the other guy. Judge is phenomenal as a player and as a man.

  7. Most home runs by a catcher or switch hitter, number of games played, made it farther in the play offs, the ultimate team leader and still a damn Yankee wins MVP!!!!! Cal thank you for an amazing season! Most of baseball knows who the REAL MVP is. Weโ€™re so proud that youโ€™re a Mariner!

  8. Love you Cal and all your memories with the team are great and will be remembered forever
    Thank you.โค๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŽ‰โคโค
