Tatis and Machado finish 8th and 17th in 2025 NL MVP voting

That’s quite generous for Tatis.
Not too surprising tbh.
FWIW, as long as he’s healthy the NL MVP is Ohtani’s to lose for the next few years.
Fair, they definitely were no where close to the top
Where is Arraez?
Some dog shit voting by Cubs writers. Busch over Machado? Solid offense but #B is a way harder than 1B. Seems like one guy voted for a Cub down ballot.
ETA:
Manny had fWAR 3.8 and bWAR 4.1
Busch had 3.5 fWAR and 4.6 bWAR
Schwarber getting 23 second-place votes and finishing above Soto is crazy. Did they let fans vote this year?
They should lower it to top 5 only so you’d end up with around 10 or so people who get votes at most.
Do we need a “17th place” in the MVP voting?
The D-backs missed the playoffs and finished with a losing record, and had two players ahead of the Pads????
I feel like Corbin Carroll is gonna have the better career over Tatis.
