The Brian Robinson trade early in the year didn’t yield a lot of results for San Francisco’s offense because Kyle Shanahan didn’t play B- Rob a lot. But over the last couple of weeks, he’s gotten more carries and he’s given this Ner’s offense a really physical element in that backfield. Something that this struggling Niners rushing game has really needed. In the last two games, Robinson had five carries against the Giants for 53 yards, averaging 10.6 6 yards per carry and had that truck stick angry run for a touchdown. Against the Los Angeles Rams, his carries went up to eight. He accumulated 42 yards, good for 5.1 yards per tote, and once again had that bulldozing touchdown run. I want to see more of Brian Robinson. And you look at some of the in-depth numbers here. He’s averaging 3.55 yards after contact. That’s ninth in the NFL. McCaffrey is at 2.39 yards after contact.

  4. So we traded mason so we could trade for Robinson? Was one better than the other? Well on this team it would appear mason. Kyle is in win now mode constantly. He doesn’t care that you get injured in the 4th quarter with a 20 point lead…….kinda like Steve Kerr playing all guards and small ball after trading for Al.

  14. Definitely seems like Kyle runs a system that favors tenure over performance. How else can you explain why Juszczyk is still getting snaps?

    Expected him to since I thought philosophy was to punish opponents and soften the up in second half…

    Nope didn't utilize bruising back Jordan Mason then CMC who was over used is injured

    I doubt Kyle has learned anything

    He'll over use CMC like he's done

    For all his brilliance he makes puzzling decisions

  27. I’d want to see him more on goal line plays. He needed some time to adapt and now release the beast. McCaffrey is better as a receiver threat and maybe even have both of them in the backfield and take to McCaffrey. I bet that would open things up big time like the lions use their backs together.

  36. Been saying this since we acquired him. Play him more the offense has become predictable. When CMC is in the backfield the defense already knows, he’s getting the ball! What’s the use of having 3 RBs if u gonna run CMC to death. I mean hasn’t Kyle learned anything Ijs. We need CMC! Put in the slot some plays and Robinson in the backfield mix it up!
