Sean McVay, Matthew Stafford, Davante Adams & Emmanuel Forbes Jr. Recap Win Over The 49ers
really I thought offensively and defensively it was a really a good team win. You know, that’s a team that we’ve got a ton of respect for coming here in a great atmosphere and environment to be able to do that and u you know, we’ll enjoy this and what a great challenge we have against an excellent football team next week. But um you know, you guys go ahead. I don’t you know, he got his oblique. I think he probably could have been able to come back in if it was a little bit closer. Kind of similar to Puka last week, Sarah. So, um but he was outstanding today. You know, you really felt his presence uh early and often in the game. Comes away with another touchdown. But, um, I don’t have an update as far as, uh, you know, anything specific. Players executing, you know, they’ve done a great job, Adam. I think, you know, I think we’ve been able to be efficient in both phases. I think guys are winning one-on- ones. Matthew’s putting the ball where he wants to. Um, but, you know, football’s the greatest team sport that there is. And I think when you look at it, obviously a consistent theme if you were to say, you know, how big Devonte’s been, but, um, I think Matthew’s been excellent. You know, it was great to be able to get a couple rushing touchdowns today. Um I thought Kairen put his foot in the ground and leveled some runs off and then was able to run around the edge, but it is truly all 11 and uh proud of this group. Um they’re earning a lot of the confidence with the way that they’re working throughout the course of the week. And this is what we want to be able to do as the season goes is just continue to build. Um, and you know, like I mentioned, you know, you look up and you see, uh, you can’t help but notice, I’m a fan of this game, how big time Seattle’s been, and what a great challenge it’s going to be and, uh, great atmosphere at home next week against a great football team. I think it was big, you know, and then credit to them, you know, they’d made enough plays to be able to kind of get themselves back in it, cut it to a onepossession game to make it 2114. Um, and then offensively to be able to go right back down and and, you know, get back up two possessions was big. And so felt like, you know, just like, you know, this is it’s never easy and uh this league is so difficult, so challenging and there’s es and flows and you just have to stay steady, stay even, killed. I think our team has a bunch of mental toughness, resilience, and the ability to be able to respond. They stay connected through the good and through the challenging moments. Um and u I love this group. I’m excited about being able to build with them as uh we continue on the second half of the season. Yeah, I got the this is a great football team and obviously there’s a lot of history. Um, it’s always pretty cool to peek up there and see uh, you know, John McVeyy’s name in the corner and always think about him and what he meant to me and I wouldn’t I wouldn’t be in the position if it wasn’t for him. But I I have a lot of respect for this organization, know Kyle and and this you know this team and these coaches, they’re they’re excellent, you know. So to be able to come in here and get a win, it’s always difficult. It’s always challenging and we’re very pleased with the way that our team came out ready to go today. He’s been awesome, Gary. You know, he’s just been total command. You know, it’s a continuation of a guy that really works, you know, his tail off throughout the course of the week. Um, he uses the accumulation of knowledge and experience and then he’s just playing really confident. It looks like the game is really in slow motion to him right now. Um, and the best thing about him is is he’s so humble. But, uh, we’re really grateful to be able to have him leading the way. He instills a belief uh every time that he’s at the switch for us and and guys play well around him. You you want to do right by him. He makes me a better coach and uh certainly don’t take for granted how lucky I am to be able to work with him and I know our team feels the same way. I think you really just kind of answered it with the question. I I liked how I liked the way that we responded and you know there was a bunch of big plays. I thought Puka was awesome on a couple of the screens. The fourth down and three was a big play to allow us to then be able to hit Devonte on the touchdown. And um you know just really overall I I just really like the the resolve of this group. There’s a resilience, there’s a mental toughness, there’s an ability to be able to respond. You know, we always talk about being able to respond, not react. Thought we stayed steady. And then I thought the defense did an excellent job as well making the stops uh when they had to. What a cool job. You know, Emanuel Forbes gets another pick on a fourth down. And um you know it’s it’s awesome just to be able to see guys celebrate each other’s successes. You know one of the things that I think um good teams do they celebrate each other’s successes. You know there’s an enjoyment for other successes. There’s an enjoyment for staying connected through the different es and flows that a game entails. And I love this football team. Love this group. And uh like I mentioned excited to be able to build with them. Go ahead. You know, I can’t attest to that. I can just tell you how grateful I am to be working with him and uh how smart, how special of a human being he is first and foremost. And then he’s obviously he’s feeling good. You know, we’ve seen the rapport between he and Matthew really start to come to life. Hopefully that oblique is just minimal. I think he’s playing as really his best ball. He’s just getting better and better. He’s like a fine wine. Just getting better with age. But, uh, we love him. I love being around him. I love everything that he’s about. and he is a big time guy for our football team. Go ahead. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, we we talk about it. Your scars either strengthen you or they, you know, they make you weaker. And I think what we’ve seen, um, and again, it’s always about a continuation. But in the four games that we’ve played since then, it’s been pretty good movie. And, uh, I think we’re getting better. I think the way that the guys work throughout the course of the week, I think we’re understanding the intentionality about how we practice, how we prepare and how that practice preparation and performance can equal game reality. Um, you know, if we trust ourselves and we trust the preparation and then they trust their teammates and I’m seeing that unfold on a weekly basis. But, um, there’s never a good story without a little bit of adversity anyways. And I think you only learn about people when you do go through those challenging times. Certainly, that was a very humbling night, a challenging night. Um, but I’ve loved the responses from a lot of guys and most importantly our team collectively and our coaching staff. And um, on to the next one. Yeah. Yeah. I think so. I I think the important thing is and and I give our defense a ton of credit. They’ve inspired us in a lot of ways, you know, where they’re using everybody, different personnel groupings. I think one of the most important things, I’ve heard my dad say it before, everybody loves being a part of something bigger than themselves as long as they feel like their role contributes to where you’re trying to go. And how do we create value with the, you know, the fortunate luck that we do have? I don’t want to say luck, but how fortunate we are with when our 48 guys that are all up and active. Hey, how do we take advantage of them? And whether it’s the different personnel groupings, whether it’s getting guys involved, I’ve said it to you guys before, the best offenses I’ve been a part of or best teams, they use everybody. They have different ways they can make you pay. you’re still playing 11 on 111. If you overcommit to something, then you got to be able to open up and expose um the other things, whether that’s on the defense or the offensive side of the football. But I just love the fact that everybody is making, you know, an impact on this thing. And I think that’s part of our job as coaches to be able to figure out, all right, how do we accentuate their skill sets? How do we get them going? And uh something that we’ve got to be able to continue to do. Say, say that again for me. Yeah, you just said it. You know, we we wanted to set the tone, you know, open up the run. You know, I I think our guys are able to execute. You know, in a lot of instances sometimes you’re really just being able to say, “All right, hey, what are the ways, you know, there’s been there was some times, you know, where we were inefficient on first down and then we ended up having to throw it.” And I thought we did a great job, especially on the first drive where we hit Devonte on a curl, ended up hitting Puka on an outcut where we were kind of inefficient. So we tried to throw it on an early down, ended up going to second and 10. And so that kind of led to it a little bit. Didn’t want to be predictable where you go first down incompletion and then you’re just going to kind of, you know, go ahead and run it. So we came out, we wanted to be aggressive. When you got a quarterback that you can call the game through, it uh it lends presence to be able to do that. But ultimately, we’re just trying to be able to move the ball and score points, and our guys did that in a big way. Thanks, guys. Um, a little bit of everything, you know. I feel like, uh, obviously ran it in a couple times and, uh, was able to toss it in there a few times as well today. So, um, just executing, guys being physical, backs finishing in the red zone is awesome to see. And then guys making, you know, great plays on the on the perimeter. Um, you know, Tay made a great catch. Um, you know, DA and and all of our tight ends did a nice job too as well. So, it was a complete team effort as it always is when you win a football game like that. Um, just proud to be a part of it. Is that what it is? Yeah, I mean, I was having a good time. I got hit on that one pretty good, so I had to shake that one off a little bit. But, uh, no, it was uh I don’t know, man. Like I said, I just I have fun out there. I lose my mind when we score touchdowns. I don’t think about it. A lot of these guys are in the locker room pregame prepping what kind of dance they’re going to do. If they score a touchdown, I just go out there and play and whatever comes to me comes to me. But, uh, just again, I’m just happy to be a part of this team. It’s it’s a blessing. Um, you know, such a great group of guys. Obviously, really talented football players and coaches. Um, but what a great group of guys that I get to go to work with every single day. I don’t take that for granted, especially at this stage in my career. Yeah, I mean, I think uh, you know, the more we can do, the tougher we are to defend. Now, if we were bad at doing all sorts of different stuff, it’d be no good. But, uh, you know, when we get into 13 or 12 or whatever it is, yeah, we’re getting bigger. We’re getting tight ends on the field, but like they’re talented football players, too. These aren’t just guys that can go in there and do one thing. All of them can block at the point of attack on the backside. All of them can catch the football, run after the catch. So, um, they’re really good football players on our team, and we’ve done a great job of utilizing them. I got to give Sean and and Mike and everybody a great a great deal of credit for, you know, being able to do that quickly and and devise, you know, plans that u you know, let those guys go out there and be successful, let our team be successful. Um, you know, and it’s it’s really worked worked well for us. How would you describe the last four or five it’s been good. You know there’s there’s still plays I want back. There’s you know um things that we can get better at. Um and you know it’s it’s fun to win football games and still feel that way and know that hey that wasn’t you know quite our best and there’s a couple throws or couple plays here or there that I wish I could have done a couple things different but that’s that’s football. That’s NFL football. We’re playing a division team. Gave us a bunch of um they kind of unloaded the clip on us today. tried to give us everything that we could look at, but uh we did a nice job and and uh were able to make plays, but um just trying to stay in it, stay focused, enjoy it, um and try to lead these guys and help us find ways to win. Uh yeah, I mean, I that’s a great way to say it. Um you know, he’s done an unbelievable job for us in the red zone. He was great early in the game for us as well, you know. Um second play of the game, got on the rock. Uh later in that drive, got him a dagger. um you know, he was doing Devonte’s stuff and when he can do that and then cash in for us in the red zone, I mean, that’s that’s, you know, a huge plus for us. So, we’re happy to have him. Love going to work with him. What a great teammate. Um and obviously a fantastic football player as well. No, I didn’t know that either. That’s the one. Huh. Uh yeah, I mean unlike a lot of the other ones that I throw, I feel like on the run and scrambling around, usually in the pocket somewhere, but uh no, that’s awesome. It’s super cool. Um I say it all the time, but I’m just such a huge fan of the NFL. I have so much respect for the guys that came before me and played before me and and um you know what this league means. And you know, to to be able to reach milestones like that, um it’s a ton of people involved. You know, it’s not just myself throwing touchdowns. It’s a whole team in in a bunch of different places. Uh obviously a couple different cities, couple different franchises. So it uh means a lot to be a part of, you know, the history of the NFL and be able to play it for as long as I’ve been able to. I don’t take that for granted. Yeah, I mean I I I love coming to work now. You know, you lose a ball game, I still love coming to work. I love the challenge of the NFL week in and week out. Um it’s it’s obviously uh most people are in better moods when you come away with the win. Um but at the same time, uh we have such a great group. Um when we’ve, you know, had a couple setbacks this year and and lost a couple games, um you know, the resolve, the attitude of our team has never changed and I love being a part of that. And um you know, when we’ve won games, we also haven’t gotten too high. You know, there’s obviously things to clean up. We know there’s big challenges ahead and we just got to continue to play. But, uh, this team comes to work with the right attitude. I love being a part of it and, uh, we’ll just hope to continue to do that. Oh, it’s great. Uh, yeah, it’s awesome. Um, obviously very proud of what the Dodgers were able to accomplish, you know, proud of my friends and unbelievable career. Um, you know, and I know those guys are probably cheering somewhere for us. It’s it’s a fun uh fraternity to be in. You know, LA sports, everybody pulling for each other, hoping uh hoping they have success and and right now it’s it’s pretty fun, you know. I mean, Luke is doing crazy stuff, too. So, um talk about a heater. Um he’s on one. How does it feelffect? Yeah, it doesn’t affect me obviously. Um, you know, I appreciate um, you know, those words. Uh, I don’t pay too much attention to them. I’m trying to just continue to find ways to be a good football player for this team, lead this team, and and try to get us in the end zone as much as I can, do my job as best I can. Um, you know, with that comes whatever. And, uh, I I don’t know. I I think about those awards. I see those people say stuff like that and all I can think about is like I’m just lucky to have unbelievable teammates. I really am. Um, to be able to throw the ball to the guys that I get to throw the ball to, play behind this line and hand it off to these guys. I mean, um, I feel like there’s a lot of people that could be doing what I’m doing. So, I’m obviously uh working hard at it, trying to be as good as I possibly can, but I’m really appreciative of the guys that are uh you know, they’re in that locker room with me. Thank you. Well, I just see I saw a lot of ownership honestly. Um, I’ve seen the the way we’ve come out of, you know, started some of these games in the in the past earlier on the season. I wouldn’t say that we had maximization in our in our, you know, in the pudding. You know, I think in our minds we had a certain idea of what we wanted to do, but um just now I think everything’s starting to gel. Guys are starting to understand their roles. Um you know, I’m not I’m not pressing out there to to make plays and it’s just just kind of, you know, playing my game. And I think everybody else is doing the same and it’s just it’s coming together. We got a lot of weapons out there and a lot of guys that can make plays and such a selfless team that, you know, we we truly enjoy each other’s success more than our own. And when you have that, um, you know, I almost feel more excited for the play when I see Puka running up to me or, you know, or X-Men coming off the sideline or or whatever it is, you know, making a play and just the almost it’s it’s more exciting about being able to celebrate together versus um, you know, just having the stats and stuff like that. So, um, yeah, real selfless team and and guys just working real hard to make sure we get on the same page so we can go out there and put together a product that, you know, displays, you know, 100 plus points in in a few games. I mean, it’s just I think at the at the beginning just anytime you have a roster like what we have, you can kind of come out with certain expectations of how it’s supposed to look. And you know, similar to me and Matthew’s connection, like me playing, you know, being my 12th year in the league, his 17th, both having our own individual success and pretty consistent over the, you know, the course of our careers, you have an idea of how things are going to look and then you, you know, you can kind of get down or start to press, like I said, and do more and try to um, you know, make these herculean efforts when you don’t necessarily need that. Um, so I think, like I said, guys are just understanding what their role is and and and owning it. How are you feeling? Um, is that what you do? Um, it’s it’s it’s biting a little bit in the game, but it’s um it’s feeling better now. And we’ll we’ll see how it how it feels next week. It’s like my side oblique area, whatever. I didn’t I’m not too good at uh anatomy and and biology and all that. So, I don’t want to mislabel it, but whatever’s on this side below my ribs, muscular situation, something like that. Um, I don’t think we’re unselfless. I think we’re just selfless. But, uh, I mean, it’s definitely rare, especially when you have the type of people. It’s not like it’s just a pee-wee team in here where it’s just happy to be here. Like guys, you know, it means a lot to be able to, you know, be statistically, you know, at the top or, you know, especially for some of the guys, you know, Puka obviously still still doing his thing. But, you know, there’s a lot of us that have had success where it’s it’s not easy to come off that mountaintop, you know, and and be able to lead the league in receiving or, you know, light it up every every week. It’s more about I think truly the collective mindset is just more about what it looks like as a team out there. So, um it’s really rare, but it’s it’s uh I’m glad I found a team that has that. Yeah, I mean it’s it keeps them honest. I mean we got some plays where I’ll go out there and we’ll, you know, we’ll pound the ball. M will go in there and stick his his head in there and then we’ll we’ll throw one to T Ferg and, you know, run a screen. It’s just it keeps him honest, man. It’s just just shows the ability that Sean has to, you know, manipulate defenses and, you know, give the presentation of one thing and then come back with another play, kind of a play off of that. So, when I’m watching it, honestly, it’s fun to watch even when I’m not in just because you you never know. And if I don’t get the call, if I don’t hear it right away, you know, I might see a run presentation and then we’ll go play action and hit someone on a sail and it’ll go for 30, 40 yards. You know, I know that has to be demoralizing to a defense because you, you know, you put your base personnel out there and thinking, okay, I got to make sure I’m covering the run because there is only one receiver out there. And, you know, if it’s not me, often times they probably think it’s going to be a run play and then just shows you the the, you know, the dynamic ability of this offense and and this team. Well, I mean, it’s looked like MVP played to me all year to be honest. I mean, even even certain games, I mean, like I said, that the pick he threw against um Tennessee and the way he bounced back after that, like that’s how an MVP plays to me. So, um, you know, that just to to rally a team and continue to lead at a high level after not when things don’t go your way, I think that’s what really shows what an MVP is is about. Yep. Uh, you know, my old coach used to tell me they come in bunches, so you might as well catch them when they come your way. But, uh, it’s it’s feeling feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feeling good honestly. And just I’m glad we’re playing good good football right now. Uh my confidence just come from my film study honestly and in the preparation I put in during the week at practice and it just shows on game day. Uh just go out there and let loose and play ball and trust what your eyes see honestly. So yeah. Oh you know we’re just trying to get off the field honestly and that’s what we was preaching before we went out on the field. Let’s go three and out. and the ball came my way and I made a play. So, it set the tone honestly and just help us go up more points points honestly. So, yeah. Uh he just playing very confident. He trusting in his guys to make the play when the ball come to them and he’s playing like a MVP honestly. I would say just since that loss we’ve been playing complimenting football honestly just offense playing good, defense playing good and even if not one of us is not playing good on that day we just compliment each other and just get the win honestly. Thank you.

Haha he said this is mine now without saying 'it's mine now, no matter my ancestors.'
What lucky…please you are emotional clearly. 40rty winners got lucky in the last game.
ABOUT TIME WE BEAT THIS GARBAGE DOWN!!!! BEAT THE SEAHAGS!!!
WHOSE HOUSE RAMS HOUSE 🔥🔥🔥
Insurance premium going up, but at least my football team won.
That defense is going to lose the game against Seattle. They better make some adjustments quick. Also, I've got to give you a thumbs down until you fix the microphone situation, so we can hear the questions.
Matthew 100% deserves the credit he’s finally getting, a super humble future HOF QB and should be in everyone’s MVP talk right now.
Why don't we have a drone with a mic so we can hear the questions?
IT IS SO FRUSTRATING TO NOT HEAR THE QUESTIONS BEING ASKED!!!!
Great team performance Rams! So awesome to watch. And coach McVay is absolutely fantastic today.
#9 is MVP.
So fortunate to have a wonderful football mind in charge of our team
I knew we were going to win we have a complete team the best team
MVP STAFFORD 4 MORE NEXT WEEK
rams SB this season
Matthew 19:27
People should be talking up the O-line more. They've been great. Without them none of this would be happening.
Can we get a mic for the questions.. ITS HORRID 🤣
Emmanuel “honestly” FORBES! Was born today 😂
honestly
Seahawks bother me defense must turn up
The next stretch of the schedule is gonna be critical. Matt statty is definitely the MVP RIGHT NOW
@Rams media team: please put a mic with the reporters so we can hear their questions.
To ppl talking about the defense this game
3-4 forced turnovers including 4th down stops
1 garbage time TD at 3-4 minute mark in the 4th Qter
42-14 game in my eyes against a team that coaching staffs go to war over. Defense held up and offense controlled the ball in the second half and didnt give their offense really any chances
Lets go Rams! Awesome win! Lets go get the next one 💪💪💪
In today’s NFL you are going to have teammates and great friends!! When, like Adams, you play with great teammates like Aaron Rodgers or maybe a friend like Derek Carr. Why does the media want Adams to pick a side! Let him be loyal to past teammates and friends. Hope your side feels better Adams!
I’m glad that my post are paying off. Forbes is doing great! No need to cut him now!
Shoutout Forbes ! Proud of him man he’s finally flourishing
Thank you 🙏🏼 so much!!!!!!! Go Rams!!
Do people under we own the seacocks? lol. Own Wilson smith and the ghost Darnold lol. Stop it man.
Man I wish Aaron Donald was apart of this team
Offense especially the oline played amazing. Defense held their ground let’s be stronger with our pass rush and against the pass next week
🎤🎤🎤 please invest in mics for the journalists asking questions.
Go Rams! So happy with the win. Big game next week!
Is it crazy to say the Rams defense is a little overrated? They’ve beat up on the Saints, Texans, Ravens with no Lamar, Jaguars, and the Titans. Every time they’ve faced a competent offense they’ve given up near 30 points a game. They have 1 sack over the last two games and not getting any pressure. The secondary stays getting torched.
I know the niners always put up great pass protection (cough cough Trent Williams), but our D-Line needed some help on this one.
Everything else was amazing today.
I love you LA Rams
I would’ve made everyone put money in the ceiling cus we’re coming back to the stadium in February
Well Mr. Adams. I'm glad you took the chance to join the Rams and Rams I'm glad you took the chance to get Adams. Always great to see players from other teams feel glad to have joined the team. Most underrated contribution to a teams success. The vibes/culture. There are ups and downs, yet as a team you work through the adversity. A QB can't carry the team alone. An O-Line can't do it alone. Not position can do it alone. When the culture and mentality are united, the group can move mountains. Love this team and I am enjoying this era. I hope it remains like this gor decades.💙💛🐏
Awesome to be at Levi’s for this game. What a performance #HornsUp
Loved it! Now it's time to go bird hunting v SEA Hags.
Our O-Line is NOT being talked about enough! They've given up the least sacks in the NFL and Stafford's hardly has been TOUCHED!!!!
Landman isn’t getting enough credit.
Bro has caused like 10 fumbles
Mcvay your wife called and wants her pants back. And way to show support for the men and woman who sacrificed their lives so you can coach in the NFL. As a veteran you disgust me. I bet you wore your pride gear though.
Stafford’s shoulder shimmy reaction on that last touchdown pass was awesome!
People gotta start talking about this rams tight end depth/rotation. Its unique in the league rn.
This team should be undefeated!
I love how the rams fanbase/overall discourse is so much less toxic than the lakers or dodgers
Time to expose these frauds!!!!!!!! GO HAWKS!!! Pumping fake noise aint going to help.
