🚨Chicago Bears About To Make A SNEAKY Roster Move? + ESPN Adam Schefter Said WHAT About The Bears?!

ESPN NFL insider said, “What about the Chicago Bears when it comes to the NFL trade deadline?” We react to that. Plus, could the Bears make a sneaky roster move to help for the stretch run? We get into all that here on today’s show. But I have a little favor to ask. Can you guys share this video? All you got to do is click the little share arrow icon and then it gives you a bunch of options. You can share it to X, Twitter, uh, Facebook, Instagram. you the little text box pops up. I’ll give you a follow back when it comes to that. Spread the word when it comes to Chicago Bears. Now [Music] I’m Harrison Graham. Did the Bears show interest in Miles Garrett at the 2025 NFL trade deadline? Want to start there here on today’s show. Adam Shfter, ESPN, hopped on WGNT TV with, I believe, Caitlyn Shy and uh kind of just casually mentioned this, which I thought was very interesting. He said, quote, “The Bears made uh calls at the NFL trade deadline. They acquired Joe Try and Shawinka from the Cleveland Browns. And when they were calling the Browns, they did ask about Miles Garrett as well, but Miles Garrett was not available. So, they made a move that made a little bit more sense. And for somebody that was attainable, unlike the all world defensive end, Miles Garrett, they made calls and did what they could. They tried to be a little bit more aggressive, but it takes two teams to get a deal done. Now, we heard Ryan Paul say, “Listen, we turned over every stone.” Uh, he even said something, I can’t remember the phrase of like anyone you could imagine, we we looked into. And that’s kind of when my brain starts going like Max Crosby, Miles Garrett. And I this is confirmation of that. Shfter just casually, oh yeah, by the way, uh they asked about Miles Garrett. Now, even if he was available, I mean, what would that have been? Two first and two seconds, two first, a second. Austin Booker in a third. I mean, who knows what it would have been. I mean, obviously, Miles Garrett, uh putting him on this defense would have been unbelievably fun. Uh, I’m not sure if the cost mid-season would have made sense for the Bears. Uh, but I do think it goes to show that the Bears were at least poking around doing their due diligence, seeing what is truly available before kind of settling for a depth piece and Joe Try and Shawinka. So, um, you know, I don’t know if kudos is the right word. I don’t know if it would have made sense to go that all in. But I do think, and the reason I’m bringing this up, other than it being kind of a casual bombshell, is let let’s store this in the memory bank for the off season. If the Bears have a strong finish this year, let’s say they make the playoffs, get to like the divisional round or something, but it’s kind of clear, yeah, that pass rush is lacking, I think that’s something they could explore this this uh off season. It is clear Miles Garrett is not happy in Cleveland. I would not be shocked if he doubled down and requested a trade again uh despite getting that contract last offseason. Same with Max Crosby. He’s never requested a trade, but uh he’s now been on the record twice, by the way, praising Caleb Williams and even Ben Johnson. Uh you you kind of get the sense that he wants to play some winning football. So, it wouldn’t shock me if he became available. Denil Hunter is a name I’ve mentioned. He’ll be on the final year of his deal. Could he uh spring loose for the Houston Texans? So, uh, if the Bears find a big trade for a big-time pass rusher this off season, it would not shock me in the slightest that they feel like that is their clear big need. Who is your dream offseason trade target? Is it Miles Garrett? Is it Max Crosby? Is it someone else? Let us know in the comments of this video who you would like to see the Bears trade for this off season. All right, coming up next, could the Bears make a roster move right now? not the big offseason move that we just explored. Could they make one right now that I think would actually be a pretty sneaky addition? We’ll dive into that as well. But first, want to tell you guys about our awesome sponsor that is Prize Picks. The hard-hitting football action is even better with prize picks. The weather might be changing, but the feeling of being right never gets old. If you have a player get hurt in the first half of the game, they will simply reboot that player out of your lineup and, for example, a three-player lineup will turn into a two-player lineup and you can still win some money. I got a simple two-player lineup here. I took more on Caleb Williams rush yards this weekend. He’s been running more recently. I think he gets more than 20 and a half. Uh he also ran well against the Vikings in week one. I took less on JJ McCarthy’s 212 a half passing yards. Uh as he’s not been playing great and he’s got a bit of a hand issue. $20 lineup to win 60 bucks. Download the Prize Pix app today. Use our code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That is code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup prize picks. It’s good to be right. Uh, okay. Tom Pelisero had this nugget on Thursday that the Jaguars are releasing veteran defensive tackle Colin Saunders. It is Colin, that’s how he pronounces it. A two-time Super Bowl champion in Kansas City. Saunders now heads to waiverss with the chance to help another contender in a playoff push. That waivers note is key because before the trade deadline, he’s got enough acred seasons where he would just be uh free to sign anywhere, but he is subject to waiverss post trade deadline as all players are that get released. Now, pretty interesting couple of connections here. Ryan Poles was in the Chief’s front office when they drafted this guy. A freaky athlete if you guys remember. I think he played at like Western Michigan or something and he could do all these crazy back flips at his size. uh was a nice little role player for the Chiefs on his rookie contract. Then he signed with Dennis Allen and the Saints and played there for two years and uh before uh signing with Jacksonville this year. I think uh it was a three-year deal with the Saints and um that new staff ended up cutting him loose. But uh for whatever reason did not work with Jacksonville this year. Don’t know if it’s a scheme thing. Don’t know if it’s a decline from him. Maybe it’s both. I’m not sure. But he’s still relatively young. I think he’s 28 29 years old. Now, Lester Wilfong has the important note that of the W waiver wire, 21 teams are in front of the Bears, including the Chiefs, which could be a team uh he returns to. They could use some defensive tackle depth there. And who knows on the other teams in front of the Bears as well, but he also mentions the Dennis Allen uh connection. So, unclear if he’ll get to the Bears in the waiver order, but I wouldn’t be shocked if they put in a claim, and I’d be pretty open to it. I mean, um, you know, Andrew Billings has played better as the year has gone on. Javon Dexter’s obviously been solid. Grady Jarrett’s, you know, been getting back into the fold, but you know, Jonathan Ford, Chris Williams, you look at Colin Saunders in his two years under Dennis Allen, 100 tackles. That’s a lot for a defensive tackle. Been pretty good in the run game. Sneaky pass rusher in his peak as well. I’m not sure you’d get a ton there, but I think you look at this defensive line. A, you can never have enough help in there. Uh, and B, I think it comes down to is a guy like Colin Saunders in the Bears eyes better than a guy like Jonathan Ford who was on your practice squad to start the year. Maybe even a Chris Williams as well. Now, they’ve been using Chris Williams at defensive end some in recent weeks. So, if they need him there still, which maybe they do, maybe they don’t. Dominique Robinson’s coming back. Obviously, you traded for Joe Try and Shinka as well. So, maybe that makes Chris Williams a little expendable. Uh, but that is the question. Is he an upgrade over someone you currently have? Because if you put a waiver claim in there, you got to be willing to cut somebody. Now, you could cut someone at a different position, but I would imagine you would cut one of Jonathan Ford or Chris Williams if you put in this claim. Uh, now, as far as the contract goes, he’s making like 1.3 million this year, and we’re over halfway through the season. So, it would be like 600,000 bucks. So, it would have no impact in terms of the cap space the Bears have. They would be perfectly fine there. I think I’d put in a claim. Uh, he’s familiar with the scheme. Uh Ryan Ples has been around him. He was scouting him back in Kansas City. Pretty good team guy uh from what I’ve heard uh as well. So uh don’t be shocked if they brought him in here. Uh he wouldn’t play Sunday. I don’t think he clears waiverss on Friday. Uh so you know, he’d probably be available the next week. But uh interesting nonetheless. I would not be shocked if the Bears uh put in a waiver claim for Colin Saunders. Should the Bears claim Colin Saunders? What say you? Type Y for yes or you can type N for no. Get your votes in down in the comments below. Again, unless there’s some medical issue that the Bears are aware of that I wouldn’t be. I think I would. I, you know, Jonathan Ford, Chris Williams, eh, especially Jonathan Ford, like I mean, he could probably just revert back to your practice squad. So, yeah, I would be interested in Colin Saunders. All right, that’s going to do it for Chicago Bears. Now, appreciate everybody for tuning in to the show. Hit that subscribe button if you haven’t already. And as always, bear down. [Music]
