Could be worse, could be better. Good thing that Granny and Stromer played well. Our depth is really good up front. All the guys with stinker performances had lots of good games already so they will bounce back.
17 games in and we still have 5(!!!!!!!!!!!!) point per game players (if I count Stromer we actually have 6). It's a little bit insane Tbh 😂
Dostys goals above expected tanked a bit by two (he is still 5th overall) after the Red Wings loss. The two screened goals were probably saves he could have made but I don't blame him. You don't see shit and try to do something. If he just stays pure the pucks will just bounce off him. Maybe he can try to work on that a bit his positioning is as good as it gets and he should trust in it even if he has no eyes on the puck. If Dosty has any weaknesses I think it is screens in front of him. But it's also the best way to beat goalies anyways so there is not much he can do. Maybe our D-core can try to shove people a little bit more when they park in front of our net.
Let's beat the wilds and then our guys can enjoy their own beds for the rest of the month (almost). They earned it.
Quack quack!

Is it just me or does mason not looking very impactful during this streak? He’s not really doing much on the stat sheet and my eyeballs don’t spot him making that many plays.
Hopefully they can grind out the last game of the roadtrip like they did at Florida and have a full team effort.
The team needs some rest. They’re going to have played 12 games in 21 days before getting an extra day between games on the 23rd.
I’d really like to see Granlund or Killorn with McTavish/Gauthier. Sennecke could use some sheltered minutes – and still let him remain on PP2. Mctavish had a horrible game and it’s not all on Sennecke but at some point, we have to let that second line just hold its own. The matchups they are getting are getting a bit weighty for carrying the rookie on an already relatively inexperienced line.
