Calais Campbell & Paris Johnson Jr. Postgame Media | Week 10 vs Seahawks | AZ Cardinals
to look at the tape. What do you think was the toughest part for this defense today against Seattle’s offense? I mean, we dug ourselves in such a big hole that it was tough, you know, and uh then in that situation, they’re just going to keep running the ball and then just, you know, we too many gashes here and there, too many explosive plays. You know, when we did it right, it was, you know, we we got them we got stops, but, you know, just too many plays where they had big gashes and, you know, watch the tape and we’ll figure out exactly what we need to do better. But, you know, it’s hard to win this league when you’re, you know, you spot, you spot them 35 points. I mean, you know, we gave him three scores on the first, three drives, four three maybe four drives, you know. I mean, you can’t do that, you know, as a defense. You know, give up 21 points in the first half. It’s hard to win. And then, you know, they had made those big plays on their defense, you know. But, um, I mean, we fought though. That’s one thing I couldn’t say though is that, you know, nobody quit. You know, we showed a lot of heart, but in this business, you know, you can’t you can’t put yourself in the hole like that. NFL everybody’s just good good teams are going to you know find a way to exploit those so you know we got to be better thought to the end three takeaways for the defense is this a game where you can look at any bright spots or is this one of those games where you just it’s hard to see that yeah I mean the only only bright spot is that you know what kind of guys you have you know a lot of guys who are going to you know play to the end you know um but you know I mean I already knew that about our team like it was like new information you know I’m just glad to see that you know I know who my guys are, but you know, you can’t win in this league when you when you you know, when you you’re down to 35 zero. I mean, I don’t care what kind of heart you got. It’s just tough, you know, and I mean, we try to believe, you try to, you know, fight, but it’s just a tough task, a tall task. So, um but um I mean, at this point in time, it’s like, okay, we learn as much as we can from it, we put it behind us and and and keep it moving. You know, we pretty much, you know, our margin for error is officially zero. So, you know, we got to almost be perfect going forward, but in this business, you know, it’s hard to operate that way. You just got to, you know, go out there and just kind of stay present, stay in the moment, and fight with everything we have. This is a team that truly has not quit all season as the most experienced player in this locker room. What is your message to the team to stay in it? I mean, the biggest thing is is you look at yourself in the mirror. Ask yourself what can you do more? you know what individually can we each do more of to put ourel in better positions you know and um I mean there’s not really much more than that I mean it’s football right play football you know you know coach always says star your role you know but everybody got a job to do just do your job you know and you know I mean let the let the talent speak for itself just playing good sound football and so you know I mean you don’t want to overreact on on big losses you know it sucks but you know at the end of the day it’s one loss you know so we got put it to bed, get back to work, and find a way to win next week. I know that the two strip sacks obviously made it difficult, but they did also score offensively on their first three drives. What do you see going wrong early on for your defense? Yeah, I mean, given the 21 points and, you know, first first three drives, I mean, it’s not ideal. And, uh, you know, it’s just a play here, play there. They had a couple explosives, you know, and you know, I mean, I watch the tape and figure out exactly what we did wrong, but it definitely wasn’t the kind of ball we want to play. you know, we we go we you know, coach push us on defense first. That’s where we want to be. You know, we expect to get the field there, you know, not to give up seven and then, you know, after that just kind of snowball, but like we got to get off the field, get the momentum, you know, get the ball in good field position for our offense and um if for be the team that we want to be, that’s what we have to do. Why Why did they have so much success winning the line of scrimmage? What do you chalk that up to? Does that just point to them playing more physically than you guys today? Uh well, I got to watch the tape, you know? I mean, they had 20 yards rushing, so it’s kind of hard to say that we they didn’t win a lot of scrimmage, but I felt like it was a lot of explosive runs. I think, you know, we had some some stout plays, but those explosive runs really hurt us, you know. Uh, but it was too many of them, right? It was like 10 of them, you know. I don’t know. I I mean, we got to watch the tape and figure out exactly, but, you know, um I mean, but it’s hard to win when you give up 20 yards rushing, you know? It’s just, you know, um and I, you know, I got to watch T and figure out exactly what happened. But I know that uh as a D line like we take pride in stopping the run and when you get beat like that it’s tough you know it’s just like you know I mean that’s not that’s not cardinal football. I think when you’re seeing stuff like that is starting to happen. You’re not trying to let one mistake turn into two and two to three. trying to focus on let’s start to win this drive no matter what. Sack fumble in the end zone twice. You know, that’s something that no one during the week you mentally prepare for that. But it’s one of those things that can come up in a game, which is rare, but it’s something that came up and it’s one of those things where you can’t allow that to make sort of mope around because the boys got to take the field. You know what I mean? So, it’s the mindset that we have to stay in that zone and to keep going, stay in that zone because what the other team wants is that they want that to demoralize you, to make you take the field with less energy, with less um juice, you know, to drive down the field. So, we’re trying not to let that shake um that the you know what we were trying to get going, you know, on both of those plays, a lot of attention was given to Leonard Williams. How much of the game thing towards him? I mean, yeah, we definitely had some plans for him, but again, I mean, we played him earlier this year. You know, it’s not it’s not like, you know, the entire game plan was just on on on him. You know, they have other players that that we respect, too, but you know, those two plays were unfortunate plays. Do you feel like those two did allow them to demoralize you guys and take away some of your juice? I’m sorry, could repeat the beginning of that question. Those two plays you were saying, you know, that’s the defense trying to demoralize you, take away your juice. Do you feel like that did happen after those two? No, not at all. Because offense is right back on the field. We really don’t have enough time to sit there and be like what just happened because after a touchdown, field goal, boys are right back out. So, it’s one of those things we’re talking to each other, you know, to have that quick turnaround kind of mindset. You don’t have time to sit there and feel sorry for yourself because you got to take your field, you got to get in your stance, you got to do your job right back to it, you know. So, I don’t think that was an issue. It seemed like a lot of their creative blitzes and sim pressures and stuff caused you guys some issues. Would you see those know it’s hard without looking at the tape, but what would you see that was causing you guys issues with those things? Again, that’s something that’s going to be a tape thing. Once we sit, we talk, we get in the room, talk about the communication on what decisions were made and about just making sure everybody was where they had to be, you know. But right now, um I think that’s something we’ll probably find it out on the plan, open the iPad and see what’s going on. How hard is it? You guys at seven guys leave within. How hard is it to see so many teammates go down in one game? Yeah, you know, um that’s very hard to see, especially when a lot of your top guys are starting are the ones that are starting to go down, the ones that you need throughout the season. I think it’s one of those things where you’re starting to wait for I mean, not wait, but um you’re starting to try to talk to the people that are going to start to come in the game next, remind them how much that we need them to continue that role, to do their job, to keep the standard to standard. So again, there’s going to be a lot of guys who now have to step up to do the job depending on how long certain guys are out, you know.

Calais Campbell knows it he's been here before and the good days and the bad he knows today was absolutely atrocious
shaq of the nfl. worst dline performance of the season btw
Michael Bidwill needs to be ashamed of him self…100%. Calais Campbell is the only reason I know of Michael Bidwill. Michael Bidwill you cheap unless POS.
JB allowed 14pts throwing the ball too late and while an attacker is in his face
It’s ok. Nobody expected you guys to win or even come close
3-6 ….Murray advised to make a business desicion and sit the remainder of the 2025 season out. Reaccess after 8 games.
That why you need a qb that can make magic happen. We need Murray back.
CALAIS AND PARIS ARE DAWGS. BUT IM HERE TO HATE ON BIDET HES SUCH A BAD TEAM OWNER WHAT DOES HE EVEN DO WHEN HES HIRING PEOPLE DOES HE JUST ASK CHAT GPT ? HAHAHAHAHAHA. TELL GANNON TO UNBENCH KYLER, BIDET WE KNOW HE DOESN’T HAVE A “FOOT” INJURY. HE DIDN’T MAKE YOUR TEAM TRASH THIS TEAM HAS BEEN TRASH FOR 100 YEARS LAST I CHECKED KYLER IS NOT 100 YEARS
👻☠️
FIRED GANNON AND PETZING
You didn't give the Hawks threes scores early, they took them. Remember that.
Dalvin Tomlinson is a waste of space, he’s too big to be laid on his back looking at the lights on every run play!
Win or lose I love this team, but man the o line has got to be better. Jacoby has 2 seconds to get the ball out against an amazing secondary is never gonna work out well for us. O line has looked bad all season, on the bright side this was the hardest game on our schedule but embarrassing loss
Kyler is way too short to see over the O line. It is not fixable. Get better O line and work on pass blocking to give a QB time. That's why JB can hit guys over the middle and KM can't. KM can't see them running routes in the flats. And his hands are way too small. And he pouts…not a leader on the field. Done with him!
You didn't take what the cardinals offense dropped in your lap?!?
