Zac Taylor Press Conference – November 10
[Music] exactly the decision to open his window. I think he’s ready for this part of the recovery, you know, to come back on a limited basis and progress it, you know, on the field with the players. So, I I think he’s in a good point. Internally, this was always a good timeline for us. Um he’s worked really hard to get to this point. Um to get back on the field and in a limited form and so I’m excited to get him out there today. What are the chances he can play Sunday? Uh we’re not looking at him playing Sunday. No, this is uh start with this week. He’s got the 21day window that we’ve activated and so the the timeline will be beyond that, but uh beyond this week, I should say. Um that’s where we’re at. So, we’re excited to get him out there. What do What do limited activities look like, Zach? Well, he wouldn’t do 11 on 11. Um especially in these early phases of things. So, again, this is just day one. We’ll start with day one. Just get out there, at least throw routes on it or the receivers, um and then start progressing that way. So again, it’s a good you got this great opportunity for these next couple weeks for him to start inching his way forward and and getting ready to see when he can play for us. Do you envision him playing in those 21 days in a game at all or is it week to week? Not ready to make that prediction. Truly week to week. There’s no reason for us to do that. We haven’t seen him yet out there on the field and so we’ll get through these this this first week and then approach next week and then see where we end up after that. What kind of conversations you have with him as y’all got closer to opening that window? It’s just constant conversation since day one of this whole thing. So, um, nothing significant that’s that’s happened over recently. This is a timeline that we were always on pace for. We never want to say that publicly in case something were to change, but but fortunately, it’s held up. You hope it’s a shot in the arms, Zach, just for the locker room knowing that, hey, this door isn’t closed and as you’ve said all along that it’s a real possibility he come back. I think so. I mean, it’s again, he’s he’s one of the best players in the world. And so anytime that player comes back and um players players have seen how hard he’s been working behind the scenes, you know, with the trainers and strength coaches and all that kind of stuff. So I think it’s exciting when you see a guy who’s put so much into coming back um you know, seemingly on the front end of a difficult injury. You look at different timelines and he’s done everything he can to get himself back on the field and so now this is just the next next stage in his progression. Is there an idea of what you do with Joe Flacco once Burrow is ready to come back from returning? We’re not there yet. We’re just we’re getting Joe back on the field and we’ll go from there. Do you expect Trey Hendrickson to be able to start practicing this week and play this weekend? I think he’ll be doubtful this week. How’s Joe’s Flaco’s shoulder coming off? Still working through it. You know, today’s the day we’d put him down anyway just to give him an extra day’s rest since it’s a bonus day. Um we got three other quarterbacks that can go out there and take the reps. So, uh but but from what I’ve talked to him so far today, it seems like he’s feeling feeling okay. Um, again, he he went through a lot to be able to play for us last weekend and so we’ll manage him accordingly this week and and see what we need to do from a practice start standpoint. So today, does B hit the one reps? Jake and Jake and Joe will take some. Sean will mix in there as well. So, um, we’ll work all three of those guys through there. That was easy.

Bring back Marvin Lewis.
Your positive energy always leaves a lasting impression and creates a ripple effect of kindness 🐶🐾
If yall dont win the next 4 games then i dont want to see burrow till next year
Why does it feel like Zac doesn't want to play his best defensive players without burrow even if they are cleared to play. Why would you have Logan play special teams just to get injured when he was still your best linebacker. If Burrow was never injured would Zac play his best defenders instead of if treating games like practices for rookies
Logan was the only starting rookie surrounded by high quality vets in 2020. But in 2025, Zac and FO seemingly chose to lose games without burrow by putting 3 rookies out there to start even when Ossai, Logan, pennel, Burks should have been starting and playing most of the snaps when Flacco was acquired. Then rotate the rookies. The jets and bears games were very winnable but it looks like winning wasn't the objective. Some on defense look like they are being paid to throw games or are gambling or something seems way off with decisions
Hendrickson is doubtful = automatic loss. He’s more important than burrow to this team
Why is he still here
If ya'll dont win the next 3 games then Burrow needs to sit til next year bc if he comes back any sooner and gets injured again Cincy will have your ass Zac!!!
GO ZAC TAYLOR. TAKE GOLDEN AND TOBIN WITH YOU
Taylor needs to go
Imagine losing to the Jets and Bears and being 3-6 instead of 5-4 and playing the Steelers for a one game lead in the division.. but your defense is so bad only the Jets, Browns, Titans, and Raiders have less wins.. in over 30 years this has been the most disappointing season in memory.. It feels like we are entering a rebuild, and that is unacceptable when we’re this far in to Taylor’s tenure.. If they lose to the Steelers this week. Taylor needs to be fired before the post game conference.
