Conor McGahey has me at the edge of my car seat every single moment when the boys are playing and honestly I love listening to the games just as much as I do watching it at this point. Also wanted to shout out Mark Bertagnolli for being the MF man and cracking me up before and after every game šŸ˜… feel the same about Koz with the Nuggets we are blessed here in Denver with incredible teams and amazing TV/Radio personalities 🤘 Go Ass! Hail Satan! We are never give up!! Win it for Maxy šŸ™šŸ’™

  1. Yeah he’s great. I didn’t get to watch a lot of games, with as early as I work I’m usually sleeping. I wish I could find a way to listen to the radio feeds the next day at work

  2. I listen to a lot of east coast games on my drive home and (being as objective as possible) the difference between is Conor game vs non-Conor called game is night and day. And it’s not like non-Avs games I’m there for background; I listen to games like Stars @ Montreal where I’m pulling for a result.

Conor brings a constant hook to the action where other broadcasts just lack. Even when I’ve got the game on screen. Video feed on mute, Conor on open on another tab. (Sry Mos)

  3. I’ll NEVER forget his call when Kadri scored in OT in the finals:

Conor: How did that not go in?!

Maxy: It did! It DID go in!

Conor: IT DID?! IT DIIIIIIIIIIIIID HE SCOOOOOOOOOORES!

  4. For real, I’ve listened to other teams’ radio guys when tuning into games on Sirius, and so many of them are god awful. Our first game against the Mammoth, the Utah radio guys were fucking silent for like 2 minutes at one point. All I was hearing was sticks and crowd noise and like shuffling around in the booth. I wanted to shout “WTF is going on in the game, dudes?!” Or like the Wings radio guys will start talking about back in the day shit or stats during the action and it’s like “I don’t care, talk to me about the what’s happening on the ice until there’s a whistle.” I love that Connor’s all about calling the action.

  5. He’s sooo good. My only gripe is sometimes he can get stuck bitching and moaning a little bit too much. But I’d rather than being bored out of my mind and not knowing what’s going on.

When being forced to watch other broadcasts through Sportsnet, I’ll mute and sync up his radio reed to a speaker and it’s way better

  6. Totally agree! Connor is the best. My partner got mad at me for trying to sync up the radio broadcast with the TNT broadcast, because I was having such a good time listening to him and EJ. Not looking forward to the day he ultimately moves on. So good.Ā

  7. Connor is so good! Love listening to him. I must be completely out of the loop (not a Broncos fan normally) but I didn’t know he’s the PA announcer for the Broncos, too!

  8. I love it when he shits all over other team arenas, songs, or just how they run a hockey game.Ā  Specifically when he does it to Vegas.

  9. I absolutely love Conor. I was listening to a radio broadcast with my dad on a road trip and he found Conor’s energy annoying. I will never understand that perspective lol

  10. My favorite soundbite was when Grubauer would make an amazing save and Conor would yell I AM GRUB

  11. The guy is amazing. I don’t know how he is able to keep up with some of those names, especially like last night!

Example: ā€œShot from Artturi Lehkonen on Ukko-Pekka Luukkonenā€.

    Makes my head explode.
