  1. Scoring last night vs VGK, 18-year old NYIslanders phenom Matthew Schaefer had 6 goals in his first 17 career games.

    With his goal tonight he moved into 1st on the list of rookie defencemen (by modern standards, ie. younger than 26 + with no prior major pro experience

  2. He’s one of the most exciting players to watch right now. I saw him last night at the VGK game. It’s amazing to see how smart and composed he is at such a young age. He’s gotta be a lock for the calder if he keeps it up.
