Post-Game | Ryan Huska – 11.11.25

Well, it’s, you know, another game where you’re pushing and uh trying to get that equalizer. What did you see kind of in the final moments as you’re trying to get that look? In the final moments, we had some good chances like we did and just not able to finish and get the goal that we needed at that point tonight. I mean, just the response kind of late in this game obviously, you know, you’re in a tough spot, but to get a little bit of life, couple of goals in quick succession there. What did that do for your group? I I thought that was a big thing for us to score the two quick ones at the end of the second. I you know it it gave them a little bit more I don’t know if renew you’d hope is the right word to to use but hey we can score. There’s no issue with our team being able to score and then I thought in the third period we did a lot of good things we were pushing. Um we created some quality chances. Their goalender made some good saves but we just weren’t able to get the one we needed. You kind of need that though, right? In terms of just what you’re saying just a little bit of that restored faith maybe for the guys. Well, when you don’t, you go a couple games without scoring. Like, it it it wears on him for sure. There’s no doubt about that. But I think the key thing is to make sure you stay true to how you have to play the game. I mean, Matt’s a good example of that. Over the last three games, he’s shooting the puck a ton. Um, he got rewarded tonight. So, he’ll continue to get rewarded. Um, if he continues to do what he’s done the last three games. Is that goal and the way he scored it maybe, you know, just just a reinforcement for him of the things he’s been doing, right? I don’t I don’t necessarily think it’s anything about the way he scored. It’s just scoring, right? Like he’s had a lot of shots. I know he was up there again tonight. He’s been a threat now again, which is important for our team. So, he’s he’s doing the right things to put himself in positions to get pucks back. And to me, as I’ve talked about before, he’s more competitive on and at the puck right now. And that’s why he’s having some success. [Music]

  1. It’s time to fire him enough is enough I am so tired of him with the same excuses every game you are losing games you are not getting points I am going to the game on Thursday they better win or I will throw my shirt on the ice on Thursday

  2. Must be hard to come out for those interviews, and try and say something positive. He looks embarrassed, and knows their in deep shit Arkansas. But this is what happens when you fire Daryl, and let the old boys in the dressing room control what’s going on. Get ready for a lot more ass kickings. What is the draw to go and spend a bunch of money to watch this team play, I just don’t get it.

  3. Just stop giving up so many odd-man rushes and committing massive turnovers… it's just like '23-'24…
Cornato actually looked better tonight.. he had a couple of panic mode give-aways, but it's still the best i've seen him all season.. he dumped it deep most of the time tonight when he knew he was in a bad position.. keep doing that and his IQ game will improve.
If they try to control the pace and skate when they have the puck, they can be connected as 5 skaters… they're slow otherwise… they were very disconnected when they were allowing all those turnovers in the first half..
The 2nd half of the game after Cornato scored showed they can play the right way with fewer lapses…
Didnt help that Wolfie gave up a softie earlier in the game though. Hanley needs to play the man in front of the net too, could've prevented another goal. But oh well, they were close in this one. The whole team just needs to speed up and skate together imo.

  4. The team chemistry hasn't been good from the start of the season. Even most Flames win is a scramble. Please start calling up some players from the Wranglers.

  5. So, it’s a battle for the worst team in the NHL for Calgary. We always have plenty of shots, but they’re just meaningless, nobody screens the goalie. I think goalies must love playing against us, because we help everyone improve their stats. I have no idea how to get out of this. In my opinion, we need to get rid of any older players who still have trade value, hope we win the draft lottery this year, and prepare for a painful rebuild.

  6. I don't think he knows what the hell he is doing. He needs to go and coach a pee wee team. Ever since they have had cry baby Kadri and Huberdeau on this team they have accomplished shit, except trade away good players. Fire this loser and trade Kadri and Huberdeau.

  7. You‘ve gotta feel sorry for Huska. This season is not going to get better… Given the Flames track record they probably won’t get the lottery pick for McKenna.

  8. Why does he only put Klapka in the last two games at the end to screen the goalie he should have him out there on the power play every night for that role along with Honzek on the second unit and let Anderson,Weegar, and Parekh blast from the point while the others wait for a juicy rebound

  9. You’re still a DUMB ASS COACH, there is absolutely nothing good about the way these so called professionals are playing. All passengers and no guts. Forwards don’t want to touch the puck and the defence STILL doesn’t know how to box out players in front of the net to let the goalie SEE what’s happening. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
